Stillmans QWL ~ October ~ Trick or Treat Edition!!

Ladies

A new month is here and we are ready to RAWK!!!!!!!
I have thought and thought and tried to come up with something fun to keep us all motivated to keep pushing on thru this next month. Since we all kind of do something different I wanted to keep it simple so we ALL can incoporate it into our WOE and our way of life. So are you ready? Let's go!!!!!

Stay true to your WOE.....whatever your WOE may be!!!!

Exercise when you can.....for those that do NOT exercise.....park a little further from the grocery store door and walk a little bit!!!!

Check in on the thread daily.....or as close to it as you can!!!

Post your menus......we all know this helps others as well as ourselves!!!

Drink your water!!! You have to drink your water to flush out the bad stuff!!!

Measure yourself.....let's see what happens to our bodies in 30 days!!!

And finally....stay away from all the bad candy and junk that comes around this time of year!!!!!

That's it.........pretty simple......but all of this is what will keep us focused and make us lean mean losing machines!!!!

My personal goals for the month are to hit the gym Mon - Fri and do T-Tapp everyday for 30 days!!! This is gonna be a good month.....I can feel it.....I want to see how much I can change my body in 30 days......if the scales change too then that is a bonus!!!! But my goal is to change to shape of my body and I am going to make it happen.

Set some reasonable goals for yourselves ladies........together we are doing this

WooHoo... I am ready!

I am typing this while sitting in my exercise bra and shorts getting ready to do my T-Tapp. I am going to measure right now, then workout. Thanks for the reminder.

I'll be back after I do all of that to post my goals. Thanks for getting us rolling, Melly!

Let's do this, ladies! All newbies welcome, even guys!

Yay!!! I'm hoping to hit 170 by Halloween. That is a loss of 15 lbs.

Candy isn't an issue, we don't have halloween here the way you do in the States.. and even if we did the baby's only just under a year so it's not like he'll be disappointed if there isn't any around. The new thing is the measuring, I've just been using my jeans as a metre, but I can start if I have to......
I'm not true Stillmans, I'm stillmans with some fat free quark eaten daily. I find I eat less and am more satisfied when I eat it.

Exercise goals - some of them are dependent on DH being home to watch the baby in the evening so they will be missed... but:

Sprints on the stairs 2-3 times per week
Stairs with the baby in the backpack if I miss sprints because of dh being away on business.
Callanetics to help my baby gut and bum/hips
I ride my bike everywhere with a trailer for the baby in the back anyway as we don't have a car, so it's a bit of daily exercise when all else fails.

Menu today:
homemade chicken soup
2 soft boiled eggs
Quark

Hi everyone! I'd like to join back in for the month of October! I have lurked everyday in September and even participated in the 10 day challange which I lost 15 pounds!!!!!!! I am 2 pounds away from where I was this time last year...then I took a detour. I'm glad I found you all to help me get back on the right path!

My goals for October are pretty generic, but I'm doing what works for me! I will try to post daily, eat strictly QWL, drink LOTS of water, and exercise at least 5-6 days a week! I find 10 days easier for me to follow and stick with. After that I will reevaluate and post goals from there!

Take care everyone!

Hi everyone! Well glad to still be going here... I must say it's a bit frustrating because I have mostly been doing Stillman's and the scale has pretty much stuck to 156 ALL WEEK. Dropped to 155 1 time and back to 156... I haven't been consuming enough calories to actually gain any weight - but I think it's the old plumbing issue... even with taking a ton of psyllium and drinking a good amount of water. Any tips from anyone?? I am 3 lbs above my goal weight for this week. I have to be on TV 9 days from now and I REALLY had hoped to be 145 for that. Hoping some of it is already off and I just don't know it (if you knowhuttamean) LOL... So if any of you pros have any tips I'd appreciate it greatly!!

Diet Friday
Scrambled eggs (w/splenda only)

Diet Saturday:
egg whites Breakfast
Egg whites Dinner
little splurge SF whip creme

Diet today (so far)
Breakfast - egg whites with splenda

Oh and I have been chewing a bit of SF gum... Don't think I went over 20 carbs with gum though...

Thanks for any help!

Tammy

Grocery shopping done!!!!!! I HATE grocery shopping!!!!!

Food Discussion......where are you? I take it from your last post you are not in the USA.......just curious I know alot of girls that exercise with their babies.......sounds like you have a good plan

Meg congrats........you were lurking and losing........nothing wrong with that Sounds like you have very good goals too......we all have to do what works for US.....the main thing is to set goals that you know you will follow thru with......whatever works for YOU

Tammy s/f gum will not hurt you......I chew a ton of it every day.......gum and coffee keep me going!!!!!! I have to ask you tho........is that all you have ate? From what I saw in your post, and maybe I have missed something, you are not eating enough. If you eat too little you will put yourself into starvation mode and not only will your body NOT burn fat but it will hold onto everything because it thinks you are starving it........maybe I missed something As far as the "other" issue........maybe you need to go to the drug store and get something to help you. I have to do that from time to time....I usually use Sienna......I get it at Walgreens or Walmart.

Today is football day at my house GO COLTS!!!!!!

Wow so beautiful!! Hehehe yes I see the gum, you can't really tell in the smaller picture though unless you know it is there and are looking for it.

I've been in Germany for the past year.

Hello Ladies! I'm in with you all for the October Challenge! I posted near the end of the September thread but just in case you missed it I'll introduce myself again. I've done Stillman's before but for the past 4 months I've been fasting off & on and doing more of an Atkins style (consequently going overboard on all the fats ). I've been stuck in the 190's for nearly a month so I'm ready to get things moving again plus I'm needing to get into more of a regular day-to-day meal plan rather than falling back on fasting (because I love the benefits of it so much). I've been doing solid Stillman's since last Thursday, so this is Day 4 for me.

This is all I've had so far today (Since I'm coming off a fast my cals are still really low as I've been adding food back in slowly for my system to readjust):

med. meatball (made with xtra lean ground beef and eggs)
Senna tea + 1 tsp. sf vanilla DaVinci
Not hungry so I'm waiting for the hunger bug to strike!

Here are my goals for this month's challenge:

1) workout 3 days a week (Sun, Tues, Thurs) 15-20 min
2) lose 18 lbs (avg 5 lbs a week)
3) fast 1 day a week (if necessary) to help meet goal

Starting weight: 190
Goal by Halloween: 172

Good luck everyone and I'm so excited to be doing this with you all!

Daily Action Plan thru October 28...4 Weeks!
1. Stillman's QWL
2. Run/Walk
3. T-Tapp
4. Skin Brushing

With the QWL melting the fat away, the running & walking building my endurance, the T-Tapp toning and sculpting my body, and the skin brushing to help remove cellulite, I will end this month feeling and looking terrific!

October 28...Celebrate 4 Weeks of Wellness... I have a 2 mile race with my Track Team in the morning. Then, I fly out to see a wonderful man in the afternoon. So, I have 4 weeks to make these changes so I perform well in the race and he drools over me. Yes, I have incentive!

I wanted to add... I will be having another salad weekend in 2 weeks.

Hi Ladies,

Just getting to check in, been very busy today, went to Wal-Mart this morning and I've been grilling chops and chicken and boiling 20 eggs, so been busy.

I passed a major test today, DH and DD got the chicken fingers from Wal-Mart today and they started eating them on the way home, chicken fingers (fried) are at the top of my FAVORITE FOOD LIST.

DH also got a pecan pie (another favorite)..........uggghhh, not going to touch it either.

Going to my sisters to have her measure me tonight, DH does it from time to time for me but never when I want him too...........LOL.

This is my 3rd day on the strict QWL and I have NO APPETITE!!!!!!!!!! Yay, have barely eaten anything today. So far today

2 boiled eggs and 4 oz of chicken

1 ounce of ground turkey

Tons of water.

SINGER~~~~~Get you some Senna Tea, I just tried this today and I haven't been able to leave the house again (worked in 3 hours), I bought it months ago, it was called "Dieters Tea", basically it is just Senna and it works GREAT!!!

Back later with my measurements.........they won't be pretty!!!!

My goal for the month is to stay on plan!!!! Also, do BodyFlex at least 5x's/week.

My brother is getting married at the end of the month, and since my family lives in another state there will be several days that I will have no control over the preparation of my food. Hopefully by then this will be ingrained into my brain and I'll have the strength to pass on the yummies. It will probably mean skipping a few meals here and there, but Lord knows that will not kill me! I could live for quite a while off my excess fat.

Here's to a great month!

ETA:TOM showed today and I'm bloated and crampy (I'm sure you all wanted to know that LOL!) so I'm putting my weigh-in / measuring off till tomorrow.

Good Evening Halloween Hotties,

TOM came to visit early, so no wonder I'm up .5 lbs and feeling bloated today. I did finally get on the treadmill this afternoon, so I do feel good about that.

Melly, WOW!! your DD is so beautiful, I would not have guessed that she was 11 years old.

My goal is to stay on plan QWL, post often and get below 145 this month. It's not that far away from where I'm at, ... but for some reason I haven't been able to see that number in a couple of years. So it would be sooo sweet to get there, I'm so happy I found you guys, I now we CAN do this.

b-2 eggs
l- turkey patties
s-cottage cheese
d-pork chop
and a ton of water = alittle over a gallon

bye for now

Hi Ladies! Melly, what a beautiful girl!! I can hardly believe she is only 11!!! OMG! That's amazing... keep a baseball bat near at all times, eh? LOL!

Thanks for the feedback... I'm sure that was the problem - not eating enough. You read correctly. That was all I ate. Was so busy! Looks like I changed that up today though - went to Chili's and had my fave quesadilla explosion chicken salad... minus the quesadilla and with just a few drizzles of dressing... however I did have a bunch of chips w/salsa. So much for starvation mode! Back on tomorrow but think I may go back to whole grains... dropped 7 lbs in one week doing that; steel cut oats and whole grain brown rice with black beans and veggies... interesting, eh? At least the plumbing wasn't a problem!

We'll see tho. Everyone is doing so awesome - it's inspiring to be a part of this group! Thank God for the internet!
