Good Morning All! I am down 2 this morning and even better I got to join the 110 lb club
I am ecstatic! I'm so happy I came back to Stillman's. ![]() I just have a question for some of you who may know: what is the difference between T-Tapp, Callanetics, and Pilates? Since a couple of you have experience with one or the other I thought ya'll would know best as anyone. I have a Pilates dvd I'm going to start using soon but if one program is better than another it would be worth the investment to me! To all fellow newbs! Karen---I hope your dad gets better soon and has a quick road to recovery! As for exercise on very low cals, I rarely do. Funny, when I first did Stillman's several months ago my energy was through the roof so I actually was working out more! When I'm fasting though I don't have the energy for it though.Tammy---Isn't it wonderful having all those old pants fall off of us? I have at least one pair of my largest in my closet just to remind me of how far I've come! ![]() Laura---I'm so proud of you for 'going out there' and posting your measurements! I know it was a hard thing for you to do. If I knew you all personally I probably would not feel comfortable posting mine ![]() Quote:
Megan---Don't worry about the fall back, we all have them! My menu yesterday: 1 med. homemade meatball 1 fried egg 5 oz tuna fillet Water: 112 oz cals: 266 fat: 11 carbs: 3 protein: 39 I know my cals are still very low. I'm going to work on increasing them a little this week tho I've been working on the not eating when not hungry and I'm sometimes just not hungry at all. Hope everyone has a great day! |

Faith I think all 3 programs are very simular.....stretching is the key......I tried pilates a long time ago and I think it was harder for me then because I was heavier than I am now. But I know it works and it makes you feel better. Right now I am spending alot of time laughing at myself......and I hear laughter is good medicine

Thanks for your input Melly! Well I guess for now I just focus on the one I've got and go from there. Anything is better than nothing at all, right?
Oh and you can bet I'll be laughing at myself, either that or beating my head against a wall trying to be 'perfect'! ![]() |

Susan~
![]() Melly~ My school was on lock down. Apparently, there was some guy about a mile south of me on foot I believe with a gun and tons of police. I was home waiting on the tow truck guy, and he told me he had to take a different route to my house, because the police had the whole thing blocked off. My son told me he was walking to school, and someone yelled at him to hurry in. Do you T-Tapp yet? The form is the huge key! I have done Tempo Arms the past two days and my arms and shoulders are definitely feeling it. I told you how this dvd is my favorite for sculpting my arms & shoulders, and getting rid of that back fat by the bra line. ![]() Faith~ Posting my measurements was tough! But, I you guys here, and know all us support one another. Callanetics/T-Tapp/Pilates... 1. I have Callanetics AM/PM, 10/10, all 3 quickies, and the book. I think it is great for pulling things in, yet I almost fall asleep doing it. It is great for someone who wants almost no impact moves to tighten and tone, without the cardio. 2. I have T-Tapp Basic Workout, Total Workout, Tempo Arms, Tempo Lower Body, Tempo Torso, Hit the Floor, Step Away the Inches, and the book. I absolutely her workouts, because she guarantees results fast. Even though her workout can be done in a tiny area with almost no impact, I am sweating inside 10 minutes. In fact, you can drop sizes in as little as 15 minutes a day 3 times a week! She builds the muscle core, while melting fat. She works with models who need to add definition or melt away an inch here or there just before a shoot. Her book is great for form tips and success stories, and the Basic Workout Plus DVD will get you started (15 minute workout). My favorite DVD is Tempo Arms, which is the Basic Workout plus an additional 15 minutes for arms. It works!!!! This is great for someone who will push a little harder during the workout, yet doesn't want to spend much time exercising. Also for someone who is impatient, like me, and wants to see results FAST! 3. A friend of mine owns a pilates studio and swears by it. I have yet to go in there, and she's had it maybe 5 years. So, I can't comment further on it, because I really don't know.

I was going to take my measurements today, but couldn't find my measuring tape
. I'll look for it tonight and measure tomorrow. But I did find my stats from last year. I had done a comparison from 2004 and then in 2005.9/1/04 ---- 9/1/05 ---- Difference Weight: 167 ----- 144 ---- 23 Neck: 13 3/8 ---- 12 1/2 ---- 1 1/8 Bicep: 13 ---- 12 ---- 1 Wrist: 6 ---- 6 ---- 0 Around Breast: 40 1/4 ---- 35 1/4 ---- 5 Under Breast: 33 3/4 ---- 30 1/2 ----- 3 1/4 Waist: 34 3/4 ---- 29 1/2 ---- 5 1/4 Around Belly Button: 36 1/4 ---- 32 1/2 ---- 3 3/4 Hips: 41 1/2 ---- 37 1/2 ---- 4 Upper Thigh: 26 1/2 ---- 23 ---- 3 1/2 Mid Thigh: 20 1/2 ---- 20 1/2 ---- 0 Calf: 14 3/4 ---- 13 ---- 1 ¾ I am at 162 as of today, but I did get my period today, so that always adds some weight. Probably not the best time to weigh and measure, but it is what it is. My goal is to get to 130. About this time last year I was at 137, but....well you know the routine...I screwed up and blew all my hard work. So here I am again, ready to do this. I am really tired of this battle.

Laura---Thank you for all the great info on Callanetics and T-Tapp! It gives me alot to think about as far as what I want to choose to use for the long haul but I admit the T-Tapp sounds pretty impressive! I've been getting a bit depressed about the flabby places that don't seem to want to leave my body.
Namely my belly and hips. I have to find something to get rid of all that! |

Hi everyone checking in late, but better late than never, huh?
Dad is still in the hospital, the nurses don't seem to know much (I was a nurse for 14 years) so I'm not knocking them but they don't go out of their way to answer your questions, but I know they are extremely busy due to being over worked. I stayed the same this morning but I guessed I probably would, I stayed on plan but ate some baked chicken that I didn't cook and it was extremely salty. To everyone that lost weight and for those like me that didn't, keep on plugging along it will happen. Not much appetite today, too busy, oh yeah, had to pick up DD from school around lunch time she fell and hurt her leg, DH has taken her to the doctor. WHEN IT RAINS IT POURS!!!!!!!!!!! Back in a minute with my freakin' measurements. Menu so far today: B-Senna Tea L- 5 ounces of ground turkey Nothing else yet but will have D-2 boiled eggs and 4 ounces of chicken with 1 tbsp of mustard.
