194.5 Yippie.........I'm now officially at my lowest ever on Stillman's. Down 3 pounds from yesterday, now that's a whoosh I'll gladly take!!! Laura~~~ No DH didn't measure but Susan and I surely did and we are do to re-measure every week on Friday or Saturday. My waist and sides are still really sore. Doit~~~ Awesome weight loss on your raw diet. I'm still mixing the QWL with the 14 day shape up. I seem to do alot better when I keep my body guessing. Some days I'm eating around 700 calories and other days up to around 1200, this is when I seem to lose the most, when I don't keep it the same.

DH's doctor emailed this to him........funny stuff!!!
DH's doctor emailed this to him.........too funny!!!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I Love this DOCTOR!!!! HEALTH QUESTION & ANSWER SESSION Q: I've heard that cardiovascular exercise can prolong life; is this true? A: Your heart is only good for so many beats, and that's it... don't waste them on exercise. Everything wears out eventually Speeding up your heart will not make you live longer; that's like saying you can extend the life of your car by driving it faster. Want to live longer? Take a nap. Q: Should I cut down on meat and eat more fruits and vegetables? A: You must grasp logistical efficiencies. What does a cow eat? Hay and corn. And what are these? Vegetables. So a steak is nothing more than an efficient mechanism of delivering vegetables to your system. Need grain? Eat chicken. Beef is also a good source of field grass (green leafy vegetable). And a pork chop can give you 100% of your recommended daily allowance of vegetable products. Q: Should I reduce my alcohol intake? A: No, not at all. Wine is made from fruit. Brandy is distilled wine, that means they take the water out of the fruity bit so you get even more of the goodness that way. Beer is also made out of grain. Bottoms up! Q: How can I calculate my body/fat ratio? A: Well, if you have a body and you have fat, your ratio is one to one. If you have two bodies, your ratio is two to one, etc. Q: What are some of the advantages of participating in a regular exercise program? A: Can't think of a single one, sorry. My philosophy is: No Pain...Good! Q: Aren't fried foods bad for you? A: YOU'RE NOT LISTENING!!!... Foods are fried these days in vegetable oil. In fact, they're permeated in it. How could getting more vegetables be bad for you? Q: Will sit-ups help prevent me from getting a little soft around the middle? A: Definitely not! When you exercise a muscle, it gets bigger. You should only be doing sit-ups if you want a bigger stomach. Q: Is chocolate bad for me? A: Are you crazy? HELLO! Cocoa beans! Another vegetable!!! It's the best feel-good food around! Q: Is swimming good for your figure? A: If swimming is good for your figure, explain whales to me. Q: Is getting in-shape important for my lifestyle? A: Hey! 'Round' is a shape! Well, I hope this has cleared up any misconceptions you may have had about food and diets. And remember: "Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO, What a Ride" |

I wore a pair of pants that were too tight a few weeks ago!
I had to hang college pennants my Advisory and Elective classes made, so stand on tables in a dress or skirt wouldn't work. So, I really had to wear pants today! Karen~ WooHoo on the 3 pound woosh!!!How is everyone else doing today? |

Got in my water today (go me! I usually hate water lol) and I've been good about it for the last week... Food was ok today- cals ended up around 925, and that's not good. With the workouts I do, I've been aiming for about 1200-1400, so I came in really low... Weight's about the same but I'm now fitting into 14's, with 12's getting close to fitting, so I can't complain too much...Let's just hope the low cals don't stall me.

Down another 0.5 pounds..........to 194 on the dot!!!!!
Woohoo that makes 10 pounds in less than one month, wonder if I can get off at least 2 more pounds in 3 days to make it 12 for my one month on Stillman's. That would be awesome. I've really got to be strict until Thanksgiving, I want 12 more pounds before turkey day. Laura~~~ Awesome job on fitting in your "pants". It's funny, I'd rather wear pants and jeans as opposed to skirts or dresses. Heather~~~ I use to think the lower calories would slow me down, but I don't feel that way any longer, I think about all of the gastric bybass patients that eat only 400-500 calories a day that lose like gang busters. Also when you are overweight you carry alot of extra fat you don't need, once that is used up you can't eat as low a calorie. Hi to everyone else..........have a great day. |

idio...Thanks... it is yummy... my mom is 80 years old.
I'm eating this huge salad of romaine lettuce, cauliflower, broccoli, tomatoes, cucumbers, celery, lentil sprouts, with a lil olive oil, lemon juice, and a dash of vinegar. ---------------------------------------------------------------- (after I ate the salad) I guess I should have studied a lil more BEFORE I ate that salad. Shouldn't mix tomatoes and sprouted lentils. OOPS! Last edited by doit : 10-26-2006 at 07:59 AM. |

That is usually a big problem for me too. I use to eat a half a sandwich at 10pm every night before getting back to lowcarb. Now I try to eat something around 6 or 7pm and if I'm really hungry before bedtime I'll have some herbal tea. |

Good afternoon ladies!
I seems as though everyone is doing great losing. Laura ~ Congrats on the pants. I know that feeling you had when you put them on and it's great. I also wanted to tell you that I really like the T-Tapp so far. I actually don't dread exercising now. I never thought I would say that!doit ~ You are doing an amazing job. KUTGW! Jennifer ~ I also just recently got my Stillman's books in the mail. I skimmed through the QWL and Karen has the 14 day shape up. Actually I think she's finished reading it. I gave her the QWL one this morning. She may have more time to read it than I do. cocosmama ~ Congrats on your losses. I have the same problem with getting hungry at night, too. I have been eating between 8 and 8:30 here lately and that has worked pretty well, because I usually go to bed around 10:00, so I'm still satisfied with dinner. I know some people don't believe in eating late, but by the time I get off work, go pick up my daughter, get home and do everything I need to do, it's about 8:00. I like to make sure my daughter is fed and bathed before I settle down to eat dinner. Karen ~ Hope you don't have a huge headache! Karen is keeping my 3-year-old today. She is a handful to say the least! I've got to get back to work. Sorry to anyone I missed. Have a great day ladies!

Hi!!
I'd been gaining on Atkins, but it seems to be tapering off and have lost .5 for the past couple of days. Still 3 lbs above my Stillman's low, but I know that once this weekend is over & I'm back on Stillman's the weight will come off. Last night I had almost talked myself into extending my "free weekend" through Tuesday and starting anew on the 1st. But I realized it was so not worth it. That's a big accomplishment for a compulsive eater such as myself. I think the concept of actions and consequences where food is concerned is finally sinking in. About time.
Laura - WTG on your pants! How's the fast going?Karen -Congrats on the low weight! Susie -4 lbs!! I think it's good that you're not going to buy sugary snacks. Your DD is still so young that she can learn good eating habits that will last her a lifetime. doit -Eating raw has been great for you! Hi to all!

Hello everyone!
I am off work for the weekend! We have Friday off to celebrate Nevada Day! The fast is going well. I am on day 5 and feel terrific! If I don't leave town on Saturday, then I am going to end it then. I have a race and party Saturday night here in town. If I leave town on Saturday afternoon, then I'll fast Saturday, too. The jeans I wore today were slightly loose. I wore a belt and tucked in my shirt. I really want to get into this other pair of jeans and a skirt I have. Maybe I'll take pictures and post them. ![]()

Forgot to add that yesterday I walked 2.4 miles in the hood again, and did the 15 minute BWO on T.Tapp.
Wooohhoooo!!!!!! Today, not so much planned in the way of exercise, as Susan mentioned I kept her 3 year old today so that may have been work out enough for today. Going to start raining here tonight and rain all day tomorrow and tomorrow night, hope we don't float away. DH and I have to go out in that crap because he put off running some important errands until tomorrow and this is the junk I hate.........running errands in the rain!!!! Didn't get much water in today, well I did manage to get in 100 ounces, usually drink between 128-150 ounces so I hope that doesn't affect my weight loss much if any. |

Sue...Thanks...
jenn...I love this... You should drink half your body weight in oz of water a day. if you weigh 200 drink 100 oz of water. I just measured my right arm and I've lost 1 1/2 inches off that one and 1 1/4 off my left. I ate my last bite of food for a few days today. I had an apple at 5:30pm. I'm going to count the hours of my fast from then. I'm trying for a fast that will last till 5:30 pm on Sunday. That will be a 3 day... 72 hour fast.
