Down 1 lb this morning, but still 3.5 lbs above pre-New Orleans weight. We're going back next weekend & I'll be sure to be a lot more careful about what I
eat. I could have done a lot worse, but I definitely could have done a lot better.

OK call me a slacker........no gym this morning!! My hubby was off today and I decided to sleep in with him a little longer......but girls let me tell you.....I can see the difference missing the gym made today. I feel tired and sluggish.....I never feel like that when I work out.....unbelievable the difference.

I was down today.....way down..... but I am not claiming it until tomorrow when I see it stay the same

Work is crazy today......tomorrow is going to be worse......boss comes back tomorrow and it is going to be a zoo....please pray that he does not bring in his little hellions!!! I am SOOOOOO not up for that

Hi ya Hotties,

Checking in late again today...........just last week my dad got out of the hospital and now my grandmother is in the same hosptial. This getting older stinks cause everyone else gets older too..... (mom 70, dad 75, grandmother 89 and MIL 79), seems like someone is always sick now.

Susan and I are measuring again tonight, I'll come and post my measurements, hope there is some change since 10-1-06, I'm sure there is at least in my waist. Then we start T-Tapp.

Weighing tomorrow after not weighing nearly a week. We shall see what TOM did to me.

Finally back in ketosis after the very small slice of pecan pie and handful of chex mix on Monday night, it took nearly 4 days this time, NO CHEAT IS WORTH 4 days of NO ketosis, I'm through with cheating FOR REAL!!!!!

Melly~~~ What a slacker, missing the gym like that.......could have worked out with DH, I know my DH likes that kind of exercise........
And yes, do spill the beans how much down is "way down", can't wait until tomorrow, I'm curious.

Michele~~~ Almost back to pre-vacation weight........WTG!!!

Jennifer~~~ Woohoo down a pound.........most excellent!!!

Chrissy~~~ Now that I am back in DEEP KETOSIS I have NO appetite, non what so ever. So I eat 2-3 meals usually around 600-750 calories. I don't like caffeine really, it makes me jittery, so I might drink 2-3 diet drinks per week. I've never really noticed that it slowed my weight loss.

Today's Menu:

B-4 ounces ground turkey

L-salad with 2 cups lettuce/ 1/2 egg/ 3 ounces chicken, red wine vinagrette.

D-2 egg whites, one yolk, 3 ounces chicken and mustard.

I've read Susan's entire book of the Stilman's 14 day shape-up plan where you can have some veggies and some salad.

I'm going to do that whenever I feel I need a salad or a little green beans and do the QWL most of the time.

Guys I am NOT saying until tomorrow........afraid I might jinx it

As far as the workout thing with my hubby......that is EXACTLY what I had in mind but my hubby was not thinking my way.....I told him, on the way out the door, that I stayed home for that reason and I remember him saying (as I was walking out the door) something like "I'll catch ya tonight babe"

Is this the part where I hold my breath

I can't even begin to tell you what a bad night tonight turned out to be. We picked up my mom at her house and on the way to the really nice resturant we were going to we almost hit a deer. Then after the very nice dinner we had I was almost out the door to warm the van so it would be warm for my mom and my oldest daughter came running out to me >>> nana fell... nana fell... she told me franticly... I went back in and there were people all around my mom who was sitting on the floor with Joe at her side and a woman holding a cloth to her head cause she was bleeding. Were were sitting at a table in the corner on a elevated floor... just one step but that was enough. My mom had forgotten that there was a step and in the dim light she walked right off it and fell... landing on her right shoulder and slid acrosss the carpeted floor with her face... her glasses cut her eye that was where the blood was coming from. We took her to the hospital and had xrays and they said nothing was broken and no dislocation... but it's also possible for a break to show up after 10 days... so if she isn't better to have another xray then.(10 days) ....... ok so we get her back home and after a lil while we go home and on our way home there are cows all over the field and close to the road. Finally we get home and our dog is tied with his broken cable to our railing... guess we forgot he was outside when we left and he broke it and a neighbor tied him up.

Thank God no one died... is all I can say.. crappy night all around.

I did have a really good meal though...

6 oz. steak which I didn't eat all of, cause I had to much other stuff... like... shrimp and crab newburg... fries... chicken wings... nachos... good thing is.. I did NOT have desert.

I'll post again in the morning.. cause I'm totally exhausted. Mentally not physically.

nope Melly.. didn't break a mirror.. don't know what I did.. except for being careless and not waiting for my mom to help her down that damn step. I feel like crap because of that.

I forgot to tell you that I drank water and had 5 baby carrots (raw) all day. Then I had dinner lastnight.... and this morning.... 200.8 again

Gotta love fasting. I didn't gain an ounce. Didn't lose... but didn't gain. I'm drinking water today and tomorrow then raw all next week till the weekend again when I'll have another fast. Dang, didn't think of my birthday... I think I'm gonna tell Joe not to get me a cake... but he can get me a head of couliflower and some broccoli....lmao

Afternoon Hotties,

Well got up this morning and did 3 miles on the Gazelle in 35 minutes, that beats my other times and length all to hell!!!!!!!!!! Yeah baby.

In a funk again.........it's all DH's fault cause he is in a funk and he is messing with my mind and good mood...........screw him, I'm not wanting to be in a funk and I'm just going to refuse to be!!!!!!!!

Gave in and changed siggie weight back to 197, TOM almost over so I might as well own the new higher number for now, but not for long.

Didn't eat what I had listed last night for dinner either, wasn't hungry so I ate about 2 ounces of chicken.

Haven't eaten yet today either, just not hungry so I'm not forcing myself.

Hi to all...............I'll check back later.

Been BUSY! I've been doing A LOT of work around my house this week. The backyard is done, all 12 tons of rock moved and beautiful in the backyard! The guy I let stay is now GONE, so I turned the guest room into an exercise room! My house look great!

So, what about the body? Well, I have been off plan, AGAIN! Tomorrow, I am starting a 7-day fast. I really need it for my mental more than the physical. This time of year is when people get sick, and I think the fast may ward off the bad guys. Also, I need a little direction once again, and fasting helps me listen to God better for some reason. Oh, TOM showed up yesterday, and despite the cheating, I am only up 4.5 pounds from my lowest.

My neck and back are KILLING me, I think from trying to run again. It has been 3 days of pain, and it is not going away. I did finish my T-Tapp Better Booty Blast 7-day challenge! Now, I need to decide what to do next. I may take it light this next week while fasting, and alternate Tempo Lower Body-Floor with Tempo Arms each day. That is just 30 minutes. Then, I'll walk with my track team on Tuesday and Thursday for 30 minutes. I am not going to run.

Chrissy~ You don't need to worry about the number of calories you consume each day, although try to eat when your hungry. I know, easier said than done. Food is so yummy, and so it your beloved cheese! T-Tapp is great for building core muscles and toning. Inches seem to melt off in minimal time. The most I work out is 60 minutes, although you can choose the 15 minute DVD. Somewhere on this thread is my inch loss after just 2 weeks (9 30-minute workouts, I believe) of T-Tapp Tempo Arms. I just T-Tapp, and I can't say enough good stuff about it. In regard to caffeine, I avoid it. Every so often, I drink some, since I'd rather have a diet soda with caffeine than a sugar soda without it. I am not sure of the negative effects for weight loss, if any.

Doit~ Some doctors suggest that you lay in bed, free of all stresses, and lie there with eyes closed. Yeah right! Who can do that for 40 days? Okay, I do not even want to! Others suggest light exercise during a fast, like 30 minutes of walking. So, I am not sure which way to go?? I like to keep it very light during fasting, like just the walking, Callenetics, or T-Tapp. You know, exercise that doesn't require bouncing around and quick sudden movements, that could cause some dizziness. I know your not a fan of exercise, although maybe a fast would be a great opportunity for you to implement a very small exercise routine into your day, like 30 minutes of walking with your husband or a co-worker. When fasting, it seems like I have so much time on my hands, so a walk is a nice way to fill the day. Oh, and no, I don't feel weak at all while fasting. I am on my feet at work with 250 marvelous eighth graders, and I do just fine. How is your mom?

Melly~ Hey, there are ways to still get that workout when you choose to stay in bed with DH. No one here will even call you a slacker behind your back. No way! You are our Exercise Goddess! on the weight loss.

Karen~ I hope Susan and you T-Tapp as much as I do! I hope your grandma is alright.

Theresa, Jennifer, Livvi~ on the weight loss! Keep it coming off!

198.8 this morning down 2 whole pounds since yesterday.

This is what I had to eat yesterday...

3 medium apples
40 baby carrots
2 grapes
100 oz of water

Calories...403
Fat...4
Carbs...98
Protein...4

Hoops...Thanks for asking about my mom... she in a lot of pain. But, last night she lifted her right arm up with her left hand and didn't cry. So she thinks it's a lil better. She's got a bad black eye. I think she's gonna be ok but not soon enough that's for sure.

I think the longest I should do a fast is for 2 maybe 3 days if I'm working. I don't want to have any problems. I really do get enough exercize walking to and from my bus and in and out of it. I get upper arm exercizes from just driving it. lol

I know that a lot of you have done long fasts with out supervision. I'm just a chicken I guess. It says you should have supervision if on a longer fast than 4 or 5 days. So I think till I can get someone to supervise that I should keep it at 4 or 5 days. I really don't have the time to do it longer than that anyway. If I was to do a longer one I really don't want to work. Easter time used to be a 2 week off vacation, but not anymore. We get one week at the end of Feb. And, one week at Easter. I get a lil over a couple weeks off before summer school starts and after summer school ends about 3 weeks. I'll wait till then to get in a longer fast. But in the mean time I'll do weekend fasts and a day here and there during the week.

Have a great day everyone.

Doit~ Supervision is best! I just can't find anyone in Vegas who supervises them. So few doctors know anything about fasting, for they were schooled to drug people, and they just don't know much or push preventive measures. I don't blame them, I just can't find what I am looking for here. There are plenty of places in California, Texas, and the east coast it seems. It takes 7 days to clean the blood, so 7 is a good magically number for fasting.

I am fasting for 7 days. I am not leaving QWL, since Stillman also is a big fan of fasting, and he even suggests overweights fast. I wrote my reasons for this 7 day fast in a post above.

I posted these on the T-Tapp thread... I know several of you are interested in T-Tapp, so I am going to post these here.

Changes after 3 weeks of T-Tapp

Weight..........................+5 lbs
Lean Body Mass..............+5.2 lbs
Fat Mass.......................-0.2 lbs

Neck............................-0.50"
Shoulders......................-1.25"
Waist...........................-1.00"
Abdomen......................-0.50"
Hips.............................-0.50"
Thigh...........................-0.75"
Knee............................-0.25"
Arm.............................-0.25"
Forearm.......................-0.25"
All others stayed the same!

Notice my weight went up 5 pounds, although it was all muscle gain! I did lose 0.2 pounds of fat, but I lost lots of inches in just 3 short weeks. I did Tempo Arms (30 minutes workout) 12 times and Tempo Lower Body-Floor (30 minute workout) 7 times. So, in just under 10 hours of workouts! I T-Tapp!

Hi Hotties!!!

Had an Atkins day yesterday since DH wanted to go to dinner at a steakhouse. I know I could have had a fillet, but the ribeye was calling my name. I only ate 1/2 and a salad, and I'm up 1.5 lbs. Oh well, I'll probably start Atkins in preparation for our trip to New Orleans Friday, since switching causes me digestive distress and I'd rather deal with that at home, and I know I won't follow Stillman's while there. Better to admit it now than beat myself up later, IMO.

Laura-You've been busy! You sound so upbeat. Your energy is coming off the screen! Good luck with your fast. I'd like to fast, but DH gets all paranoid that I'm going to faint behind the wheel or something. Actually, I did end up in the ER dehydrated the first time I fasted (after 17 days), so I can understand his concern. Maybe I'll try a few days at first and build up to a week to show him it's OK. Great results from T-Tapp!!

doit - on the 2lbs! Onderland for you!!! Glad your mom seems better.

Doit~ WOOHOO!!! ONEDERLAND!!! Doing the Happy Dance!!!

Jennifer~ Were you fasting by consuming water only, or did you drink zero calorie drinks, like soda or coffee, which cause dehydration? By the way, 17 days s awesome!

I know a lot of the ladies on Make It Fast thread still have these drinks, instead of drinking only distilled or purified water. This sort of liquid diet robs the body with needless muscle loss and can cause dehydration. So, fasting, which is consuming only distilled or purified water, is superior! If we're going to cleanse our bodies, car, dishes, or laundry, we're going to use water.

Yup.. it's Onederland for meeeeeeee... lmao

I have read that it's (ok) to drink spring water and well water. Not tap water from a city though. I live in the country and have a spring fed well. This is the water I drink. And starting tomorrow when I got to the (not so big) city to work I will bring my water from home. I do buy bottled water too but only if it says spring. Yeah I know it might not really be spring water. But I do know that distilled water is NOT living water... it's dead water...meaning no oxygen. I'm not sure if there is anyone who knows anything about fasting around here, but we do have a lot of Drs from other countries around here. So who knows?

jennifer... thanks

Laura - I mostly drank water, but had a diet Pepsi every other day or so. After a couple of weeks I was so sick of water that I didn't drink as much as I needed to. I should have broken the fast at that point but was being stubborn.
