Yet another question about Stillman's

Sorry if this has been covered a million times...

My DH is 15 lbs from goal and the scale has not moved in over 2 months.
He wants to try Stillman's but he wants to know if he can have mustard.
I know that ketchup is allowed (in small amounts) but what about mustard?
Would it make a huge difference in weight loss?
Is there a difference between yellow mustard and dijon mustard?

I would think Regular mustard is OK...dont see why not. Its Low cal, low fat and has no sugar. It should be fine.

I'm not sure if this is directly from the Stillmans book, but I copied this from a post on this forum:

Quote:
You may use common seasonings such as salt, pepper, garlic, cloves, thyme, other herbs and spices, cocktail sauce, tabasco sauce, horseradish, ketchup. Don't use any creamy or oily sauces or dressings. No mayonnaise, no salad dressings, no oils, no fats.
If this IS from the book, then I think it should have given a more specific list to avoid confusion when they say the following:

Quote:
NOTHING ELSE IS PERMITTED ON THIS DIET--NOTHING! IF IT'S NOT MENTIONED IN THE PRECEDING LIST, DON'T EAT OR DRINK IT.
Here are the nutritional counts for ketchup and mustard. Note that the ketchup is the regular kind, not low carb ketchup. Perhaps mustard isn't allowed because of the fat.

1 Tablespoon ketchup: 16 Calories; trace Fat; trace Protein; 4g Carbohydrate; trace Dietary Fiber; 4g Net Carbs

1 Tablespoon Yellow Mustard: 11 Calories; 1g Fat; 1g Protein; 1g Carbohydrate; trace Dietary Fiber; 1g Net Carbs

Mustard is one of those items I have never worried about. I've eaten it doing low calorie, low fat, low carb, Stillman, Fat Fast, etc. and I don't think it caused any problems. Gotta have something to spice up things a little.

I dont think it should be a problem if its used alittle. I can eat that much mustard at one setting anyways. I would say try it and if your not losing then cut it out.

I'd have the mustard, before I'd have the ketchup.
