Stillmans Question (regarding fat)

Stillmans Question (regarding fat)

I know that the Stillmans plan was written many years ago before certain products became available to us. I know that we are to use no oils, butters, mayo (basically any fat) in cooking or add to foods. I was wondering if you think that Fat Free Promise would be allowed. Per table spoon it contains:
Calories 05
Fat 00
Cholesterol 00
Sodium 90
Crabs 00

The ingredients are less then ketchup, farmer’s cheese, & cocktail sauce - which are all allowed on Stillmans plan.

While I'm asking, what are your thoughts on vinegar & mustard?

I've done Stillmans before & it worked great, now I want to do Stillmans again but I was wondering if I can add some more flavor.

Thanks,

Michael

Michael..was going to let the "experts" take this one..but since no one has psoted..I'll give you MY take

When Stillman's was written..their wasn't the product availablilty of s/f products like their is now. I think things like catsup and c. sauce was added to keep people from jumping off roofs (LOL) as it's got to be the hardest most boring diet I have done..and that's saying a lot!

When I do Stillman's..I stick as close to the list as possible. I use s/f catsup on occasion..but try not to get in a habit. I use the soft cheese ( cottage for me) only on the first few days as It helps me get over the initial cravings and such untill ketosis kicks in. I did use Mustard and did well...no idea on the vinigar ( and btw..what the heck are you going to put it on??!!!!)

As for the ff promise...I have no idea. I will confess to useing pam for scrambled eggs daily in the am..I just couldn't hang with hard boiled eggs for breakfast AND snacks. I say try whatever you feel YOU can live with..and see how you lose. If your happy with the loss..and useing those items causes no cravings..then that is the only answer I think that matters

A limited amount of SF condiments would probably be ok, but I would advise that you be careful not to add too many processed or frankenfoods, which many of the LC foods tend to be.
Just my opinion.
