How long do you eat just those things? Is there a referance place on the board for these kinds of questions? I seem to be asking alot of "newbie" type questions and am probably driving everyone insane

Be prepared to be hungry, though. Not much food on Stillmans.

Stillman's is the fastest possible way to lose, except water fasting (and there's only a small difference even then).

Hunger isn't a problem on Stillman's, but boredom may be!

Dr. Stillman was morbidly obese in medical school. His doctor told him to get the weight off anyway he could "even if you have to chop it off with clever."

The initial phase of Stillman's is lean protein only, then you begin to add veggies (eventually fruit).

There's a version of Stillman's that some people do on this BB which includes making desserts from fat-free cheese. This circumvents the intent of Stillman's, increases calories, and provides much less weight loss (some have reported GAINING!)

If you do Stillman's per the doctor's book, you will achieve 'real' ketosis very quickly (2-3 days) with marked appetite suppression ... unless you choose to eat several hundred calories a day in FF cheese desserts ... or unless you 'carbed up' beforehand.

Be sure to take a Centrum type vitamin each day!

Yep..closest I've come to no hunger in my 4 years of low-carbing.

Want to add..and I know many who do Stillman's will NOT agree..but Stillman's is not the place to start to lose weight. It's very very restrictive..and if your not clear about a long-term woe..many seem to "use" it more like a Yo-yo diet. As in they do Stillman's for a week after a cheat..get the lbs back off..then cheat again. Not good.

ON the Possitive...The handful of times I've done Stillman's to break a stall..it worked amazingly well. I can only hang for about 1-2 weeks..as I miss my veggies and fruit terribly! LOL

Stillman's ROCKS for getting into deep ketosis fast. When I went back to losing after going on maintenance for the summer (long story) I used a 4-day Stillman's run to establish solid ketosis before I started phasing in induction level fats and green veggies.

It would take a better person than I am to do it for any longer though! (and there are many who do)
