question about stillman's

This morning I ate 2 eggs with about a tablespoon of I can't believe it's not butter. is it okay to still start stillmans today?

and those of you who have done it for a number of days for quick weight loss, how long? and how much did you loose. I want to just kick up my weight loss a bit (my first mini goal is nearing) and slowly move into induction again.

Stillman's is without added fat, so I'd consider starting Stillman's AFTER your eggs, LOL!

If you do strict original Stillman's you can lose 4-7 pounds a week, depending on your body weight.

If you do the "new & improved" Stillman's on this BB with the fat free cheese desserts, you'll lose more slowly ... or not at all.

The original Stillman's was 500-700 calories. Less actually, once 'real' ketosis sets in and you have no appetite.

Check out the Stillman's thread on the Challenge forum!

Hey guys

I know the calories are supposed to be low between 500-700
I am just curious about where the fat gram are supposed to be

I am sorry about all the questions but I want to do this right..
I don't want to blow it by eating bacon or something that is tooo high in fat even though it is all protein.. (I really love bacon )

Pooh, maybe Kimmer can give you a number. I did respond to you on the Stillman's thread (in the challenge room for those of you intrested in Stillman's) but very lean meats are required. So chicken breast..lean steak..very low-fat hamburger. No Skin..no added oil or butter (even fake stuff) even eggs need to have no oil added (so hard boiled..no deviled eggs!)

For more info..check at the top of this weeks "Stillman's Tread..Hunni has the original rules of Stillman's listed there.

No bacon! Way too high in fat. I don't have a clue about fat grams, I never got into the 'lowfat' thing in the 80s.

Do as Lisa suggests and checkout the Stillman's thread. Read the list of acceptable foods. The idea is to eat relatively little and lose very quickly.

Hi Lisa!

thanks for the responses I will keep a careful watch to eat only lean meats.. no skin & no bacon... (oh the insanity)

I am sure I won't have a problem I am finding today after my fast I am full after 2 or 3 bites so the calories will be low by default..

I may try this when my fast induction loss slows down (at the moment, I'm losing 1/2lb per day and am happy with that). I read the rules, I could do that short term. But I do have two questions-

How long do you stay on this plan?
No veggies?

Rant...

Sorry just found this post..so hope I can still help with info if you need it (not a Stillman's expert..I just play one on tv) LOL

Stillma's can vary on how long one can do it. I know of 3 Stillmansers who did it for 60 days! Ekk.

Personally I wouldn't keep my calories or carbs that low for that long. I tend to use Stillman's more like I would a longer fat or meat fast. I do it for 1 week at a stretch..then very slowly add back in veggies and eventaully oil (maybe 1-2 weks toget back to full induction levels)

Nope..no veggies..hence this is almost a zero carb plan. Your only going to get a few carbs from eggs..and cottageor pot cheese. Your calories are also extremely low..shooting for about 600-800 once in deep ketosis ( I tend to hit about 1000..and still lose well)

Basically it will get you in deep ketsis..much like a meat or fat fast..with a few more options..and less fat.
