Love to experiment; I'm going to try Stillmans

I just read a thread regarding Atkins v/s Stillmans and it really sparked my interest. I truly believe in ATkins and I enjoy this woe, but Me being Me, just had to check into this whole Dr. Stillman's diet. What I got from the article that I read was that his diet is for a FAST jump into ketosis and a quicker weight loss. I'm not too far from goal and as in the past, I have noticed a substantial slowing of weight loss the closer I get to my goal mark. I'm thinking that after good ole TOM goes away, that I just might give Stillman's a try. But I certainly can see that it's not a way of eating that could be permanent; just a good way to give your weight loss a boost. I'm wondering if Stillman's is a possible plateau buster. MMmmmmm, this could be interesting. If anyone here has used Stillman's for this purpose, please pass on any info---I'm real interested in hearing how if worked out for you.

Original Stillman's is an absolute plateau buster ... keeping in mind that people plateau because they're "over" on something (carbs, calories, whatever).

Stillman is very low calorie, very very low carb ... there's no where to go but down!

There are stages to Stillman also, just as Atkins, so as you get closer to goal you're supposed to add back veggies, then whole grains, etc. Dr. Stillman originally designed his program for the fastest loss possible, particularly for people who were morbidly obese or with health problems from obesity.

How low calorie? I truly feel when calories are too low, the metabolism slows down and I also think it makes maintenance harder.
