2 pant sizes in 2 weeks
I had to stop because I was a poor teenage mom and couldn't afford new clothes that fast. |

hi Martha
i have lost 45lb in 12 weeks on Stillmans, Maheve....... Stillmans is a low fat/low carb woe... often used to break stalls and plateaus, its not easily sustainable longterm.... but can be done, there is a link to the 'rules' any other questions, there is a great stillmans thread on the challenges board, drop in and say hi http://www.angelfire.com/yt3/stillmans/ |

my menu... i dont change it much, it works for me this way, i am getting to a stage where what the foodstuff is doesnt matter...its just energy to keep this big ole body going, bare with me ... its late... i hope i dont miss anything out
B- 1~2 hb eggs L- skinless boneless chicken breast... and 1 hb egg -if needed- D- same as lunch, occasionally with a small green salad- no dressing 100~140oz water and 1~2 cups of black coffee - no sweeteners if i get hungry ( which is rare on this woe.... and still surprises me daily )i add a snack of another hb egg, a cup of plain yoghurt or a little sf jello on the odd occasion i have an Atkins day and curb my cravings for cheese, veg, nuts, fruit ect over here we dont have any low carb products, annoying sometimes but probably a blessing, hell i cant even get sf chocolate unless i travel around 5miles to get it hmmm, my brain is going to mush... HTH edited to add...... i have only started exercising in the last couple of weeks, i do a little weights, stretching and some - like 5/10mins- running and the bodyflex breathing when i can

Kimmer, can you tell me if this the ORIGINAL Stillmans, w/o tweaks? I'm on Day 2 and so far it has been really easy. Of course, after a water-fast it's like a feast ![]() |

No veggies.
I don't know. It doesn't sound entirely healthy, especially the "repetition diets". Those seem to border on anorexic behavior to me. I mean, 3 servings of skim milk per day and that's IT? I would faint from hunger. (Although I could deal with the yogurt fast. That sounds YUMMY.) |

Indigo... nope, no veggies, most people only stay on this woe for a few days...then alot are craving veggies..... not a bad craving to have
it can quickly restart you after a stall or is handy ( like KISS) for just getting 'back to basics' and cutting back some of the higher fat or frankenfoods that do hinder alot of peopleElastigirl.... uhuh, lol, some of the repetition diets do look a little scary, most of us dont use them..... or just use the 'better' ones like the yoghurt fast and the chicken and veg one's Marilyn go read the link for the 'rules' of the woe, then any other questions or just for some great support, pop in and see us on the Stillmans daily thread on the challenges board Stillmans Rules edited to add..... like anything, if you dont follow the rules .. you risk losing slower.... Stillmans is alcohol free Last edited by Hunni : 09-17-2003 at 07:58 AM. |

I think it is the best WOE to break a stall. Worked for me. I lost about 10 lbs. in 2 weeks. It does get old quick but works and if you are careful easing back into regular Atkins you will gain none of it back.

In my own head..it's not a wol..but I look at it as I do the meat fast. NOt something I would do long term..but have used it when stalled well over the 4 week mark by Atkins. I have done it a total of 4 times (one week each time) in my 3 years of Atkins..to me..that is not unhealthy behavior..heck the last time I only did the zero veggies for 3 days..then added in one small salad once a day...and still had amazing results ((aka called "stillkins" by Kimmer
) always have to give that girl credit! LOL

For those doing Stillmans and exercising - are they compatible? Do you find that you have to decrease intensity or duration of exercise due to fatigue?
Also, how is the hunger factor? I know that the fat in my good ol' Atkins plan is what keeps me satiated. When that's gone, do those hunger pains come back? |

Lahlu... hiya, i am on my 12th week of Stillmans with the odd occasional Atkins day mixed in ... i am still exercising with the same intensity and frequency i did before,
as for the hunger..... there is some for the first couple of days.... almost like doing Atkins induction, then most ppl find 'real ketosis' and have hardly any appetite atall, it is a sometimes scary but also wonderful experience to find that you almost have to remind yourself to eat at mealtimes... and very little makes you feel full, i hear it quite alot on the Stillmans thread..... many ppl get the same reaction HTH |
