Question for stillman friends :o)

I need clarification please on a couple of questions.
Is low calorie/ ff margarine and Mayo allowed?
I noticed some having broth. I found a hot and sour soup from Knorr that has 1.5g fat and 45 calories...would this be allowed?

How do you keep calories so darn low??
Yesterday I had
1 egg and a very small piece of pork chop meat for B'fast
2 small chix breast for lunch
Hamburger patty and a 1/3 cup ff cottage cheese

How does this look?

Also.....I noticed some had bacon. Can we have Canadian bacon? I thought it would be good on chix breast.
I bought some FF ranch dressing, but it has 11 g carbs

I was down 2.5 pds this a.m, so I am happy about that.

I appreciate any advise

Oh, I did have 2 small cups of coffee w/ a ttteeeeeny bit of cream and sugar sub. I am weening myself. this am , 1 cup Black
And about 140 oz of water

Some do a modifed version of Stillman. The book does not include any FF mayo or ranch. For best result I would stay away from any of these.

Your calories will adjust naturally. I do boiled eggs or chicken breast. The soup you are eating might be ok. You might want to do FF chicken or beef broth. The plain one (store brand is fine). Once deep ketosis sets in your appetite should decrease. If you are hungry eat some protein.

I still dont see how to keep the calories down. I ate a very small amount yesterday and fitday said I had like 914 calories! I posted what I had in my main post

So far today I have had 2 eggs, a chick breast and 1/2 cup ff cottage cheese and it says I have had 568 calories so far..
Man how can that be? How do you keep your diet between 500-600?
Im not sure what I should have for dinner now!

Oh, and what about the canadian bacon? still wondering if can have some

Sheri,

Just like Atkins induction after deep ketosis sets in your calories will adjust naturally. If you are hungry eat some protein. Personally, I would not worry about calories yet. I believe up to 1000 calories per day is fine IMHO. I honestly don't use fitday anymore. I also think my calories might be higher than some. I'm sorry that i can't be of more help.

I started stillmans on monday and have not been able to get my calories over 600 yet. I usually eat 2 HB eggs for breakfast, 5-6 ounces of lean pork chops for lunch and 5-6 ounces of chicken for dinner. Monday cals were 577 and tuesdays were 543. So far today I am at 344 cals, but I still need to eat one more time. Are you using custom food or just using fitday's counts? I customize ALL my foods on fitday.

Makeup: I hear ya about the calorie counting, I just want to make sure I do this right,! Are finding that you still lose even tho you are on the higher end of the calories?

I use fitdays standard chart (not customized), I just couldnt believe that after eating 2 eggs and a chick breast Im over 500 calories! Does that seem right? Im not exactly starving, Im doing ok, but geesh I dont think my quantities are high

Btw....can we have steak? I didnt see it on the guidelines. I have ny strips and they are lean.

I am at goal and only use Stillman to get back into ketosis if i fall off the old wagon. I am sure you will be fine. Don't stress yourself over the calories. I believe it will happen, just as lowering calories naturally happens after induction. Your fat is going to be much lower on Stillman than Atkins and you will lose. Don't stress yourself. By all means if you are hungry then eat. I believe that most people have the opposite issue, eating because they are bored not due to hunger. This will be a great journey for you. Stillman really made me take a hard look at how much I was consuming and why.
