hi everyone, switched yesterday from atkins to southbeach, done atkins for 3 weeks and went from 169 to 161, so thats great, but i had so many issues, fatigue, mega constipation that have caused piles, never had this in my life before, insomnia, severe cramp that was so bad i was crying, my leg still hurts today, 4 weeks ago i was 10 pounds heavier but i felt fit and happy, compared to now, anyway went to dr yesterday morning and explained all my problems and everthing, my dr actually agrees with lc, but for me she said it will have to be worked out diffrently at age 50 she says i MUST included fibre fruit and wholegrains, and extra dairy as in yougarts etc, when your younger your body deals with major restrictions better, so i went home and read threw sb phase 2 and saw that it in fact did include bran cereal, some fruit, some yougart, so i went to shop and got a box of bran flakes, and a bag of pears,
food yesterday
breakfast- 2oz bran flakes 6oz skim milk
lunch -ham and cream cheese
snack- pot 0% yougart
dinner- grilled lamb chop and veggies
i feel better already, and i managed a trip to the bathroom this morning, not good but 90% better, so i think this has got to be the way forward for me, i started my diet plan at 169 pounds i am now 161, my goal is 149 pounds so 12 pounds to go, i know that does not sound a lot but its still hard oh and by the way i did a calorie count for foods yesterday and it only came to 729 calories, so i could of ate a bit more, im off to europe for a month tommorow and will be taking my book with me, good luck to everyone and hello
