Hi! I'm New

Hi
My name is Penny and I am starting over on phase 1 for the umpteenth time. I find that it is all or nothing for me. I can't be a wishy-washy dieter. If I start to slide, I slide all the way down, and have to start all over again. This is day 3 for me and I am down about 3 lbs or so. I have a question about tuna fish. I made tuna salad with 1 small can of tuna, some pickle relish and lite miracle whip. It made about 2 good scoops, which I ate on a plate of salad greens. How does this sound for lunch?

Hi Rose
Thanks for the answer. I have a question about hummus. Is there a limit to quantity on phase 1, as long as you eat it with cucumber, tomato, celery, broccoli, etc? How do you classify it? It's made of garbanzo beans, so would it be a veggie?

I put it in the "beans" category, 1/3 - 1/2 cup serving. Of course 1/3 cup of hummus would be way more than 1/3 cup of beans, so I keep hummus to around 1/4 c. and plenty of veggies to go with it. It's easy for me to go overboard on hummus, so I measure out a serving and put it away.

Hi everybody, Penny here.
It is day 5 for me and I am down 4 pounds. I have been including a few p2 foods here and there, but I have decided to try to stay strictly on phase 1 for the whole 2 weeks. We are going out for dinner tonight, so I am a little apprehensive about what to order. Fish is always a winner, but I have a taste for steak tonight. If I order it without butter or oil, with salt and pepper only, I think that will be on plan. Does anyone have any advice on ordering when out to eat?
