Simple is good! Also check out Kalyn's Kitchen. More involved, but delicious recipes for every occasion.

Hey Beachers!

I'm back from my whirlwind business trip around Europe. Eating was crazy...having every single meal out for a week is never good. I did get in some good running and walking while there!

I'll do a full checkin when I can, but wanted to let you all know I am back safely

Michele, Berta: great news on your losses!

Rose, keep eating

Later gang!

Good Morning!
Michelle, I use to do WW with success but prefer SB since it is much healthier way of eating but was thinking of going back to WW but you convinced me to stay where I'm at. The concept was good but it did allow some poor choices.

Hope everyone has a great day and is off today.

Check out ***********.com You can follow South Beach and track if you want to keep track of calories/sodium etc. It helps when I am on South Beach and not losing. When that happens it is always because my calories and sodium are really high. It is free!

Newbie

Hello everyone!

I have been a lurker for the last week. A little hesitant to start because I have had hypoglycemia since I was a pre-teen. The last week I have been slowly getting rid of the carbs and sugar and tomorrow I am going to officially start Phase 1!

I have hypoglycemia. This way of eating keeps everything even and stable. You should do fine if you follow the plan like it is intended. to the beach!

Good morning!

Just came back from a good 5-mile run. I really need to get back into my normal routine, for eating and exercise. The scale clearly shows I have been overdoing the food (and wine ) and underdoing the exercise.

Michele, my husband has been doing a calorie-counting stint. It's not that he counts every calorie that goes in his mouth, but since he is our main food shopper - he's been doing a lot of label reading and changing up some things he usually buys due to high calorie counts. He's always been extremely sodium conscious, ever since his Mom was on kidney dialysis.

Hey BNT, welcome to the Beach!!

I'm off to an all day customer meeting. Later!

I like to track and then I get a feel for what I'm eating. There are days my sodium is twice what it should be and that is not good if every day is like that. I keep an eye on calories, sodium and saturated fat. It helps!

Just want to say helloto my SB friends
Looks as if you are all doing great.Michelle KUTGW

I have been having a bit of problem stabelizing in PH3 as we are not to go over 2lbs during the 21 days .Well I ended up five lbs over and today is only my 12th day of PH3.
But I did what they call a Correction day and am back down in my last dose window(LDW) again actually 1.2 lbs under today. So I am happy now

We are going to Branson for a mini vacation next week.I am really looking forward to that.We rented a condominium and are going to see some shows. Then we are going to Eureka Springs to see the Passion Play and eat at a dinner theater(we bought a pkg deal) and several other events there.
It's been nearly ten yrs since we have had a vacation and never have had a honeymoon So I say it's time.

Everyone have a great week and KUTGW

If anyne wants to try a correctons day it is fast all day until supper and then eat a huge steak and a tomato OR apple. You wll drop 1-2 lbs the next day.I dropped 1.2 the first day and 4lbs the second day.You can drink but no fruit, veggies or dairy on the correction day. You can do 2 in a row But on the 3rd resume normal eating adding some fat then you may do another corrections day.

This is JFYI.

Good morning!

5-mile run is done and I'm marinating a pork tenderloin in EVOO, red wine vinegar, fresh cilantro, fresh lime juice, and garlic for dinner. Now I just need to get through the rest of my day!

Berta, sounds like a fun time! Enjoy Branson.

I have been having a little trouble coming up with breakfasts I like to eat. Lunch is easy as I almost always have salad. Vegies at dinner have been tough to come up with. I should really plan this stuff out, but when I plan I usually wind up changing my mind anyway!

Hello all!

Scale is inching back down, thank goodness. But now my mini-goal is to weigh exactly what I weigh this morning on Monday morning. NO weekend slip-ups!! Wish me well...

On the vegetable thing, we do eat tons of fresh veggies for dinner, but I always keep some bags of plain frozen vegetables (the kind you "steam" in the microwave, for example) just in case I don't get to the store. And in fact, last night I had frozen cauliflower which I seasoned after steaming.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!
