Pregnant.. What to start at P2
Is there any one on here that is pregnant or was pregnant on the South Beach Diet? I was told it was safe. I am already over weight and need something to follow. I am already 21 weeks along. Advice would be so helpful.

It's absolutely safe. Dr. A suggests that pregnant women start with phase two although if you are considerably overweight, you could do a week or so on phase 1. You might go easy on the grain at first if you start with phase 2. Several doctors in this area put their overweight pregnant patients on SB. What's not to like about lean meat, dairy, fresh veggies and fruits, healthy oils, whole grains?
