Have any of you done swithced from a ketosis diet (Atkins etc) to SB?
I am now following a ketosis diet and love how stable my bloodsugar are - no cravings at all. I eat between 15-25 carbs a day, mostly from fat dairy products, salads and vegetables that grow over the earth (no corn). I've followed the diet for five weeks, but do not seem to loose any weight. It's probably because I eat to much energy, so I have to do something there.
I've ordered the South Beach book and read it. I think the diet sounds like a good one, but even though it states that not all carbs are the same - I'm not really sure if I believe it... Have any of you switched from a ketosis diet to SB? How did it go? Did your cravings come back? Right now I'm so happy I can see all the cakes at the coffee shop without wanting them and I so hope to keep it there. |

I did last year, did about 4 months on Atkins then switched to South Beach for three months (then took a break) and it seemed to work every bit as well as Atkins. My cravings did not come back, but I didn't indulge in beans and ate mostly Phase 1. Quite honestly, I quit because I got tired of eating and preparing food all the time. At least I know with Atkins I will not get hungry as often. It seemed like I was always either preparing and packing food or eating it on South Beach.
