New to southbeach plan

I read the book, now I am ready to start phase one, any advice? I did atkins so many times, and it works, I just can't stick to it. I really want to make southbeach my new WOE!!

Advice. Do it by the book. Check in with us every day to stay connected. Don't be afraid to ask questions.

Hi karla1960,

Just wanted to add Don't give up no matter how many times you may mess up don't give up!This was one of my problems if i messed up I would toss it and go back to my same old ways.i'm fighting this thing.Glad to have ya aboard!Look up recipes,(there are so many yummy subsitutes )for things i love on here,so much help on here ,too

Karla - this truly is a way of eating FOR LIFE! I just hit my one year South Beach anniversary and do not feel deprived and am still loving the way I eat!

Like Rose said; do it by the book, don't tweak......you will see success!

Thanks everyone! My first day went well! I am a little sluggish since I am giving up caffine. I had a cup of herbal tea and feel better.
