Hi everyone,

Rose, nice photo again. Looks sort of like our fields around here, with the poppies starting to bloom. (Always reminds me of the Wizard of Oz, so if I don't show up for a few days, I may be out there snoozing ).

I finally finished my two weeks of Phase 1 and am starting Phase 2 today. I lost 6 lbs. total this time on P1 so I got rid of what I'd gained and then some. I was actually down about another pound but then put on 2 lbs. from one day to the next (end of last week) and I didn't even cheat--maybe a little too much cheese one day but that was it. Anyway, onwards and downwards (I hope!).

I am dreading this week. MIL is coming to visit on Friday for a few days, so I will be frantically cleaning and trying to get everything in order. I hate, hate, HATE cleaning (and her place is always immaculate).

Have a great day, everyone.

Good morning

Well I think i hit the clearing!!! I am feeling so much better about work - not that the issues have resolved, i just feel like why do I get so upset when i can't control any of it. Supervisors will think and do as they please and if the higher ups don't see it as being a bad thing - they are just as at fault. This has really put me back a bit on my weight loss journey - but it is that a journey!!! i have the new book and skimmed through it, but i have been make a conscientious look at my food choices. Today
b- SB bar
s- yogurt
l-chk/ celery and laughing cow
s-
d-

i will fill it in. Thanks to all of you who keep me in their thoughts - It is am inspiration to see - the hello's to MELROSEEP. it is nice to see that there is someone out there caring for me and my wt loss. i have read the posts and had comments for so many of you girls(guys???) I will be right back there to give you all what you gave me.

Goal - to get below 190 by next week may 23. I want to be 188 by memorial day. this should not be a problem if i stick to it - no off program foods and I drink enough H2O.

Wiz - you look great
Vero - congrats (i read the other thread!!!!!)
Brittany - almost done - what a great school career you have had
Luisa - still waiting for the other side of the path picture
Cowboygirl and Beth - i hope you still read out there
Tina and Rose - You both are such a great poster to keep up our journey
Theresa - hope things are better - you can do it again - I have to do it too!!!

newbies - i will get to know you too!!!

Checking in. Things are getting hectic here. Eating has been crazy. We clear housing on the 27th and then it's off to MA to see family and them off to Germany for 3 years! I'm hoping to be down another dress size by the 27th. I'm trying very hard to stay OP but we're trying to get thru alot of the food we have stored in our house before we move.

Good Morning SBeachers!

We're in the middle of a nor'easter here at the Jersey Shore. Wind is gusting up to 60 mph! Tons of tree limbs down already, even a chunk of my vinyl siding came off. Not a pleasant day to say the least. So no walking this morning...

I was not particularly OP this weekend, and it showed on the scale (up 2 lbs). Our renovations are finally done and all the workmen are gone. We spent all weekend cleaning, unpacking our belongings and moving our furniture back in. I was exhausted and ended up not eating all day. Then once we went out at night I was so ravenous that I was eating (and drinking ) far too much in one sitting.

Not to mention the fantastic brunch my brother-in-law cooked on Mother's Day. I avoided the Creme Brulee French Toast (but, boy, it looked so darn good ) and the Hash Browns, but did have 1 Eggs Benedict, 2 strips of bacon, shrimp cocktail and some strawberries. Of course, I had champagne too (hey, at least I skipped the orange juice that was in the Mimosas)

This morning I ran to the store for egg beaters, salad stuff, chicken breasts for dinner, etc. I am ready to be back on track. I am so happy to have my kitchen back, I can't wait to cook!

I hope everyone has an OP week.

Melrose - So glad to see you back in action! It sounds like you have made your peace with the work situation.

Luisa - You're back on top! I was at 26 lbs down, but my weekend of poor (or non-existent) eating habits put 2 lbs back on. I should get them off pretty quickly now that my house is back to normal!

Teresa - Hang in there with Finals!

Tina, Rose - Hello to you both!

Later!

Hi ladies!

I was MIA this weekend, busy with alot of stuff going on. I took a pregnancy test 2 nights ago and it was positive. I've taken 3 more, and they're all positive, hooray! I have a doctor's appt tomorrow so they can do a pregnancy test, and if it's positive, I'll be refered to an OBGYN. That combined with two wedding this summer and our PCS move to Texas has been overwhelming!

Melrose: I'm so glad to see you back and in a better place then before! Thank you so much for the congrats! We sure did miss you

Christina: Do you ever use the cleaning service that they offer on post for moves? I used it once in Kentucky and it was so nice to hand that responsibility off to someone else. If they offer it here, I am definitely using it. I didn't realize you were moving so soon, Good luck with everything!

Wiz: Your renovation work is done, Yey! My weekend was offplan also, but I guess most people were too.

Teresa: Good luck with your finals!

Luisa: Congrats on your 6 lb loss, that is awesome!!

Rose, I have a few questions for you, so I'll PM you later; I hope you don't mind!

This weekend was off plan, way too much Mexican food!

everyone!

Melroseep - Good to see you back and that you feel like you've got a good perspective regarding your boss! Happy South Beaching!

wiz - What a PITA losing a chunk of siding! Were you able to find it to put it back up? I am soooo jelous of your kitchen reno. I need a new kitchen in the worst way. I need a jelous smiley!

Luisa - Have a good week, MIL and all! Those 2 lbs will be right back off, maybe just a case of too much sodium or something silly like that, just KUTGW!

Teresa - we'll be happy to have you back on more often! I love a chatty post!

Armywife - Germany for 3 years, WOW! Don't forget about us here at LCF, get your computer set up first thing!

Vero - what does PCS mean? military talk? keep us non military folks in the loop!

Hopefully, I will getting some things made tonight to help me stay OP! I want to make some oopsies, ranch roasted chick peas, and cream cheese muffins. Keep your fingers crossed for me that I get them done. I've been wanting to make this stuff for a week!

Hi ladies,

Well Friday I spent the night with my sis to help her with a 30th anniversary party for her in laws on Saturday, So needless to say i haven't been OP,

I was gone Friday until late Saturday night and Sunday our power was out almost all day from a storm, so i had no choice but to eat a hot dog on a reg bun...that we grilled,

anyway i'm super ultra tired and i've had a stomach virus since yesterday, not feeling to great.

My sis gave me a really nice glass scale, and i am still plateaued not really surprised tho....

Well i didn't find my callanetics videos at salvation army...they had every other workout tape on the planet except that...i'll just order it off amazon i guess, its like $6 w/shipping.

Thursday i have to go to the water park to chaperon my little brothers class, Ugh..me in a bathing suit well have a good week ladies, I'm gonna try to get back OP tomorrow

veronicka - this is going to be our first real PCS. I've heard horrible things about the cleaning crews here though. Our house isn't bad I'm just very nervous LOL

tina tina - PCS is a Permanent Change of Station. basically when the Army sends you somewhere new to live. The computer is going over in unaccompanied luggage so it will get there the fastest! I can't live w/o it. That and my XBOX360 haha

Revolution Rolls

3 large eggs
1 pkg Splenda
dash of salt
1/8 tsp of cream of tartar
3 ounces cream cheese (not Tbsp!) Do not soften!

Preheat oven to 300 degrees.

Separate the eggs and add Splenda, salt, and cream cheese to the yolks. Use a mixer to combine the ingredients together. In a separate bowl, whip egg whites and cream of tartar until stiff (if you're using the same mixer, mix the whites first and then the yolk mixture). Using a spatula, gradually fold the egg yolk mixture into the white mixture, being careful not to break down the whites. Spray a cookie sheet with non-stick spray and spoon the mixture onto the sheet, making 6 mounds. Flatten each mound slightly.

Bake about 30 minutes (You want them slightly softer, not crumbly). Let cool on the sheet for a few minutes, and then remove to a rack and allow them to cool. Store them in a bread sack or a ziplock bag to keep them from drying out.

Makes 6@ about 85 calories a piece, >1 carb per
Batty - I leave out the splenda, you don't really need it. I store them in a ziplock bag in the fridge and they soften a little over night. I mostly use them for egg sammiches and french toast.

Good Morning Beachers!

Well, I got some of my cooking done. Made the chick peas and cream cheese muffins. I didn't get to the oopsies. Maybe Wednesday. Tonight is a baseball game. Go straight home, grab the kids, head out to the game. It is an away game so most likely a Dairy Queen night. If I get something it will be a NSA fudgesicle.

Luisa - Your son is coming to visit from the states? That's exciting!

Have a beachy day everyone!

Good morning!

Wow, did we get hammered by that nor'easter! Tree limbs, siding, you name it - it was all over my yard. Our boardwalk was covered in sand this morning, it was like trudging through snow drifts! And the waves were gigantic, which is always so cool looking after a storm.

When I got back from my 5-mile walk, the township guys were in the neighborhood doing a brush pickup, so I hustled out to pull all the tree limbs from my yard. One of them was 15-feet long! I dragged 2 trashcans of sticks out to the street. It was like a double workout this morning!

I'm not happy because those 2 lbs from the weekend were still hanging around this morning I thought I was pretty vigilant yesterday, but in hindsight, I really didn't drink enough water. So I am drinking like a fish today (Don't get excited - it's only water )

Vero - What exciting news! Could you have any more going on in your life right now??? Good luck with everything.

Melrose - Those would be the stone-cold chickpea recipe

Tina - My kitchen renovation has been something I have wanted for a while. We got beautiful granite countertops and a marble tile backsplash, plus some stainless appliances (although I have to tell you that the fingerprints are already driving me nuts - I would not get stainless if you have kids...) Although we always had hardwood floors in the kitchen, we got them refinished to a darker, richer color. Once my new stools come in for the island, I'll be good to go!

Luisa, Dani, Armywife, Batty, Nena - Hello!!

Have a good one...

Morning Beach Babes!

Today is payday! Otherwise known as exchange day!

batty - let me know how your oopsies turn out! I like them for some things and not for others! hope you like them!

wiz - That is precisely the reason I will probably never do stainless, I'll probably always stick w/white! LOL I almost had DH talked into getting me a new fridge for xmas (YES i want one in a bad way) it is a side by side with the ice/water in the door and my favorite feature the EXTRA ice make, 8 lbs in 24 hours Maybe next yea

Melrose - how were the roasted chick peas? Were you able to salvage them? LOL

Were is the rest of our beach peeps?

I'll check back later!
