Hey Beachers. I know, I am the worst at checkin in. Ok, so since last time I am down 3 kilo (6.6+ lbs) So I am now (again) at my lowest weight in 15 years. My son just turned 14 and I now FINALLY weigh less than I did when I got pregnant with him.
Question - does anyone know anything about the new book "SBD Supercharged"? I am wanting to get it but wanted a few reviews first. I got the quick and easy cookbook... it has some nice stuff in it. I have tried the curried chicken salad, the goat cheese and spinach stuffed chicken breasts, and the jambalaya (sp??) recipes. All very good but they all take more than the 30 minutes to prepare as advertised. Menu- b- ff plain yogurt, coffee with lf milk l - mexican soup s - ? d - goat cheese & spinach stuffed chicken breast Tina - exchange day? Too funny Vero - I missed the pregnant post. what's the scoop? Diana - Welcome!

Good morning!
It was a balmy 53 degrees this morning when I took my 5-mile walk, it was great to wear shorts instead of my sweats. And I ran into my sister-in-law who commented on how thin my legs looked. Yea! (She, of course, is a twig)I was thrilled to see a Whooosh on the scale this morning (I don't know about you guys, but about once a month - usually about 2 to 3 days after ToM finishes, my scale really moves.) I am down 28 lbs!! I was hoping to be down 30 lbs by Memorial Day weekend and that goal is looking extremely doable. I've taken 2 days off to do stuff around my house and yard. It doesn't sound that exciting, but I do love to putter around my garden. Not to mention, re-arrange and set up things in my house to get ready for my Mom's b-day party this weekend. Diana - Welcome!! You'll find plenty of support here, sounds like you are off to a great start and plenty of inspiration from your son!! ![]() Cookie - Great news on the loss! I, too, am at my lowest in about 10 years. Doesn't it feel great?? Nena - You are cracking me up! I can just imagine that lady screeching and this kid stepping up with a beautiful voice. Too funny. Awesome on the size 7s, I think the last time I fit into a size 7, I was in 2nd grade ![]() Vero - I have to tell you that one of the things I miss the most after my dog passing is our walks. I used to love our long morning walks. Sigh, one of these days I'll get a new pooch... Hi to Dani, Batty, Armywife (how's that packing going??)!! ![]() |

Gee wiz. I am gone a few days, due to finals and there are only a few posts! IS ANYONE OUT THERE???
Well, I just finished my last final today! Whew!! Sigh...what a relief. Didn't do so hot on my Micro lecture final. WIZ and COOKIE: Congrats on your weight losses! Woohoo!! ![]() Well, now that I don't have class for awhile, I am going to focus A LOT on exercising. I mean, seriously, there is no excuse to not INCREASE my activity now that I have no where to be. I am thinking of working at least maybe part time during the summer. That way I can save some money. That is always good. ![]() Well, I am looking forward to my vacation for 19 days back home to IOWA/NEBRASKA. I leave May 27-June 15. I am excited to see my family. I want to lose a bit of weight before then, so I feel better. Not been doing the greatest since I have been stressed. I am going to TRY to do phase 1 for at least a week-10 days. And that mixed with tons of exercise should hopefully =LOTS OF WEIGHT LOSS! It is over 100 degrees today. I have a meeting tomorrow at school. I hope it goes well. I am a bit nervous, and I hope that certain things will become of this meeting, but I am doubting it...which wouldn't be fair. (this is the reason I have been depressed. And this is the "bad" news stuff) Anyway, trying to think positive. Also I do believe everything happens for a reason. It is just hard to take in sometimes. Well, I am gonna go now. Talk later. Gotta get ready because we are having another couple come over tonight. We are gonna play some ROCK BAND! I finally can find time to play and get better. I know it is cheesy, but hey, I am a kid at heart still. ![]() Later all!!

Hi everyone. I've been reading the board everyday; just haven't posted. I've been very, very, very stressed these last 2 weeks since the incident with my twins babysitter. Needless to say I've been handling my stress with bad carbs. I can't help it; it's the only thing making me feel better. I've gained back 2 lbs. I'm hoping to get back on track this weekend. Maybe go to the store & plan my meals for next week.

Hi all!
I am new here and have been using this board for ideas, which have been great. I use Calorie Counter, Diet Tracking, Food Journal, Nutrition Facts at The Daily Plate to track my food. I am blackcoffee64738 over there. As of 5/13/08, I weighed 179.9. I rode my bike 5 miles on 5/13 & 5/14 Wiz last check-in you wrote ... that the house pictured was - "perched pretty precariously" that's funny. |

Hello SBeachers!
It's a miserable day here in NJ, tons of rain and darn-right cold. I did manage to get my 5-mile walk in this morning, while it was still drizzling out (as opposed to the downpour we have going on right now...) I spent my day off prepping for my Mom's b-day party tomorrow. Things are looking pretty good at this point. Weigh-in today was good, I actually dropped another 1/2 lb, for a total of 28.5. However, we are going out to dinner tonight - so let's just call it 28 lbs because I'm sure I'll manage to gain back that 1/2 lb this evening ![]() Twinmom - Hang in there!! Teresa - Hope things go well with your meeting tomorrow...think positive Luisa - My MiL lives about 6 blocks away (and is very uncritical of things like people's housekeeping), so we never get the white-glove treatment from her!! On the other hand, my mother is the "you can eat off her floors" type. So I know what you are going through! Wendy - Sounds like soups or vegetarian chili might be a good way for you to go! Or do a ratatouille with all those veggies. Welcome Carole and Rainbow!! ![]() |

Good afternoon everyone!! My meeting went well today. I am glad for that. It helped me put things into perspective. Sometimes we wish that things would happen our way and the way that we want them to, but that is not what is supposed to happen. Things happen a certain way for a reason. I am accepting this and moving on and feeling positive.
Well, i have to sign up for some summer classes. So that will be interesting. I kinda wanted more time off of school, but I can't get to my goal of finishing school unless I take classes that get me there. Ugh. Better look at schedules now. I hope everyone is having a great beautiful day and weekend. ![]() PS-- I am doing better on eating since yesterday. Wish me luck and I WILL stay motivated now that this stressful situation has subsided. It has been a very emotional ride for me these past couple weeks, but my head is high! ![]() |

The work week was crazy busy...sorry I wasn't able to post much. I'M SO GLAD it's the weekend!! My graduate class finally ended. I got an "A" on my presentation and an "A" in the class, yay. My students and I have 1 more month of school. Can't wait for summer. This is the first year that I won't be working a second job. The last couple of years I tutored and before that I worked in retail while I was off from teaching. I am rewarding myself this year by only taking 2 classes for my Masters and nothing else. I finally make enough to be able to do this, LOL. DH and I are traveling to Georgia and South Carolina for a week too. I am really looking forward to that!
Teresa- Glad you are back! I'm in the same boat as you with summer classes. Better to get them over and done with right? ![]() Wiz- KUTGW and have fun at dinner! Cookie- Congrats on your loss! Carole and Rainbow! to those I missed.Today: B: yogurt w/berries S: string cheese L: greek salad S: walnuts D: chicken, quinoa w/sauteed onion, carrot and celery, salad S: "PB Cup"

Hi all,
I was going to wait until Mon/Tues to WI, but I had to peak at it today. I am down to 172.9 . It's my first week, so I was expecting a weight loss. The food had been good and I've not had too many cravings. It seems too easy right now. I haven't been hungry. The support from here has been great. Let's hope I feel this way in a month. SBD is super healthy, so I think it'll be doable long-term. I really just want to say thanks!!Last edited by rainbowlaserdragon : 05-17-2008 at 06:58 AM. |

Good afternoon!
I went on my 5K Burbank Care Walk today...actually I jogged a lot of it, but it was super hot! 101 degrees today. Had a pickle afterwards. ![]() Don't really have anything else planned for my weekend, but that is not a problem at all. I am just gonna play it by ear. It is too hot to do too much. Ugh. D: don't know...too full to think about it. Well, gonna see if my grades are posted yet. Talk to you all later. DANI: Good to see you!! ![]() BYE FOR NOW! |

Good morning beachers. Gee, seriously where is everyone??
Maybe enjoying the nice days. DANI: Oh great.....TOM is seeing you now....that means me in a few days....no wonder I wanted to buy so much cheese yesterday! ooooh, and I am feeling crampy. Ugh.Well, no plans really today. We just kinda want to run to the bookstore and check out a cookbook on Chef Ramsey. He is always having the chefs in Hells Kitchen cook "beef wellington" and "risoto." I have never had either and I want to see how he makes them. Probably not SB friendly, but DF can at least try them out and maybe I could have the smallest nibble. Can't wait to go home to see family for 19 days. Leaving in 9 days. Wooo hooo!! Haven't seen them since Christmas....well one of my sisters and her husband I saw a month ago....but everyone else. YAY!!!Ok, well I am about out of things to say...just woke up 20 minutes ago. (west coast) Gonna get going. Write more later. ![]() |
