batty - I think they have to be limited in any phase because they are deep fried???? Hopefully someone with more knowledge about them will pop in and give you more advice

batty - i saw in the other thread that you found the roasted chickpeas recipe and they were mushy? Not sure what recipe you found but, I ready somewhere that someone makes them in the evening and then leaves them in the oven all night and this is what I did and they turned out crunchy. I had a couple of mushy ones but not many. HTH!

I do the roasted beans all the time. I put them in the oven at 425 for 20 minutes then turn off the oven and let them sit. I have one of those super insulated ovens so it stays hot for a long time so YMMV. The last batch was in there for 2 days before I remembered them.

Some veggie chips are baked and not fried...but due to the fact that they are generally made from root veggies, they are not legal for a phase I snack.
I have them once in a while in phase III....but I'm very careful as too much salty crunchy food can trigger me to eat more. If you are lookng for a salty crunchy snack for phase I, I used to save my nut portion of pistachios as my nightly snack. I got the ones in the shells as it slowed me down and by the time I ate 30, I was happy. ![]() |

Another option would be the turkey pepperoni chips. Line a plate with paper towel. Lay the pepperoni on the towel. Micro wave them for 3 minutes or so. As they cool they will get crunchy. They are really good.
