What a nice photo! I'm on day 3 of phase 1 now but I'm not weighing myself until Saturday. I do feel a whole lot better though. Last week I really overdid the junk food and I started to notice I was getting quite short of breath. Yesterday evening when I went for a run I noticed how much longer I could last, after only 2 days of SB! I hope this week starts off on a good note for eveyone else too.

Hi folks,
Enjoyed my weekend way too much and as a result I am up 3.5 lbs. since last Thursday! It's from eating too many of the non-SB goodies I made for my guests but couldn't resist myself. I am going to try to do two clean weeks of phase 1 to get myself back on track, so I guess I will see everyone else who's doing phase 1 over on that thread.Britt, congrats on the valedictorian. Hope you feel better real soon. Welcome to all the newcomers! Seems like we have quite a few in the last several days.Hi to all my buddies here and have a great on-plan week! ![]()

My weekend was all over the place, but oh well. Weight is the same and that is my primary concern.
Menu - B - cottage cheese L - ww pasta with chicken breast, broccoli, & light cream cheese D - grilled chicken salad possible snack - twix cookie (NOT SB friendly, but it is in my desk and so I know myself and will probably finish it so that it will be gone. Other than that, a good day) Back later for indies. |

Hi beachers!Resurfacing after having surgery,Prom, 2 weddings, 2 trips out of town and a funeral. I have missed being connected, but needed to have a break. I started on Phase one and can't wait till the 3 days of eating lean and clean are under my belt. I haven't jumped on the scale at all as I am in my 12's still but am looking to see some changes in the next two weeks. I get my biospy results today from my wire lead surgery on Wednesday. I fainted after they put the wire in since they didn't tell me that I would not have any pain meds. Oh my goodness did it hurt!! then after being in surgery for 1hour 20mins, they sent me home with meds that I am allergic to . Anyhow, finally feeling like myself and taking my eating and exercising as top priority. Have a good day and congrats on all the NSV and Scale victories that I am seeing!!!! ![]()

Good morning!
Well, here's the good news: At my brother's 40th b-day party, I saw most of my family members for the first time since Christmas. Which means I am ~23lbs lighter than the last time they saw me! And of course, they all noticed and congratulated me. It felt great ![]() And on the negative side, I really did not stay OP at all this weekend. I was really enjoying being with my family and I was just not diligent. And ouch, the scale really showed it this morning. I had a great time, but oh boy, I have a lot of work to do ![]() So Luisa, it looks like you and me are in the same boat again. I, too, gained 3 lbs. (Why does it take us 3 weeks to lose 3 lbs, but only 2 days of fun to gain it???) Hopefully by putting my nose to the grindstone on Phase 1 this week, those 3 lbs will come right off. Rachel - So happy to see you back with us. I can't imagine all that you have been going through (some good, some painful) and being able to stay OP. It's great that you are in your 12s and hanging tough. Keeping my fingers crossed on those biopsy results... Britt - Good luck at the Dr's today. Rose - I ordered the new SB book, thanks for the advice. Tina - I rarely sleep in either, but sometimes you just need to take it easy! I have to say that when I woke up this morning and saw the rain, I just turned over and got an extra hour of sleep (instead of my 5-mile walk ) I was exhausted from too much fun this weekend (plus all the yardwork I did yesterday afternoon when I got home from Philadelphia.) No wonder I gained 3 pounds - no walking, too much food and wine. Yikes!Winddancer and Porkypine - Welcome!! ![]() Well, to all of you SB'ers - have a great OP week. And don't do what I did and fall off the SB wagon. I really cringed this morning when I saw my weight, it just wasn't worth 3 lbs of gain. I can deal with 1 lb over the weekend, but 3??? What was I thinking?? Later! |

Rachel, so glad to see you back! I've been wondering and worrying about you. Hope the results are A-OK and things get back to normal for you after all this!
![]() Britt, keep us posted. Wiz - seems like you and I are tethered together on this weight loss thing - we never get too far apart, LOL. C'mon, one of us has to get going in the right direction and drag the other one along! ![]() Cookie, Tina ![]() Winddancer, Porkypine ![]() Gotta get back to work... |

Good morning everyone. Why are the weekends so hard to stay OP? I don't think I'm the only one who feels this way but I work so hard during the week to eat the right foods & then blow it with pizza & other carbs on the weekend. I'm up 1.2 lbs today. It is TOM so maybe next week will show a lose. I've been stuck at 166 for a few weeks now.
Brit - I agree with Wendy from another post. My sister would get sick after almost every meal & they finally determined it was her gall bladder. She had it removed a few years ago & has been fine ever since. Please make sure your doctor checks this out. Rachel - Welcome back. You've been busy. Hope everything is ok with the doctor. Todays Menu: B - ricotta & NPB S - 1/2 c. yogurt; 1/2 c. All Bran L - lettuce, tomato, cucumber salad with can of tuna & 2 tbls dressing S - LF cheese stick D - shrimp & veges |

Hi ladies!
Been MIA this weekend because I have been BUSY! I still am actually, lol. Just checking in to say that I'm back to phase 1 tomorrow. Today I'm working on 4 essays, a group presentation, and some tutoring logs, so today will be phase 2, probably a SB pizza for lunch. This weekend went ok. I had a planned off day on Saturday because we had friends over and grilled burgers and hotdogs. I was gonna buy the whole wheat buns that they sell at the grocery store, but our friend brought regular ones over, and so there really wasn't any point to me going to get the ww ones just for me. I haven't jumped on the scale because of the weekend and also because I feel really bloated. I think TOM is near. I guess I'll get back on the scale for the weekend challenge on Friday. I'm glad to see so many of us getting back into phase 1 Ok, gotta get back to my work. Have a great day everyone! __________________

Thanks twinmom. I think we need to do a weekend challenge and have some new thoughts about the weekend. I am with you on being a good girl all week and then falling off the wagon on the weekend. (I love me a good glass of wine) Anyhow, I need to change and I think we could all come up with some good ideas not to fall off the wagon!!!![]() ![]() |

Lindsey!
Great job everyone else! ![]() I have made it through one week of Phase 1 - woo hoo! Day 4 & 5 were tough. Had lots of cravings and felt hungry a lot even though I ate lots of lean protein. My body was just freaking out! Thanks to all of your support I made it through week 1. Last Monday the scale read 185 and this morning it read 176!!! I almost cried. Now, I must tell you, I weigh myself naked and even put my contacts in. Don't want the glasses adding any weight Thank you so much you guys. I couldn't have done it without all of your support and inspiration. A big to all of you and here's to another great week! You were right. After the initial shock, your body feels better, and even though sometimes it feels like it will never come, you do get there and it's a major relief. I'm now just trying to accept and get comfy with feeling just "satisfied" and not overly full Not there yet. It's a long road ahead, but thank goodness I have all of you to accompany me on it ![]() Back to work for now...I'll see you later tonight. Have a great day! Welcome all newbies ![]()
