I've lost 33 lbs since June 4 2007. My loss may seen kinda low, but that is all my own fault, I have not totally had my act together since January. I'm working on getting it back together.

Hi! Welcome to SB!

I did Atkins years ago, but found it way too limited in terms of food choices and I was worried about the fatty meat/cheese choices. I find SB to be such a healthy lifestyle.

In any case, I have lost 23 lbs since January 2, 2008. I'd like to lose another 10 or so - but we'll see how it goes!! I followed the book pretty much exactly as they said for Phase 1 and have generally followed Phase 2 (except when I was on vacation last week!)

Good luck!

I didn't have much to lose, but I am short and a little weight on me is ALOT. I have lost about 15 lbs, and would like to lose about another 5 more.

I followed the book to a T and did not tweak at all. Get the book, read it, do your grocery shopping and follow the plan as written - you will be successful. My motto is "The program works if you work the program!" This truly is a way of eating for life. I am fired up as I am coming up on one year of eating ON PROGRAM the South Beach way!!!

That's it exactly; follow the book.

The new book is wonderful, vague points are cleared up, wonderful new recipes, expanded food lists, Dr. A answers the most frequently asked questions, lots, lots more.

I've lost 42 pounds since last August. To get to my first goal of 140, I have another 19 pounds to lose. My ultimate goal is to be 125, since I am a shortie.

SB is a great plan and one I know I can do for life!!

My journey is in my siggie, but to summarize, I've lost about 40 pounds in 6 months and I have about 20 more to get back to my pre-pregnancy size.

I started in November, and I have lost 28 pounds. I would have lost a lot more had I followed the plan more closely. I have 17 pounds to get to my goal, and I am going to try really hard to stick with it! I started over on phase 1 yesterday.
