Hi everyone,
Yesterday I stayed on plan, so I was happy about that. I've dropped one of the two pounds I had put on, so I'm getting there! Yesterday's menu: B - fried egg, 2 Canadian bacon, gazpacho, decaf w/milk S - 30 pistachios L - parmesan-topped broiled halibut, big salad (lettuce, tomatoes and cuke w/Italian dressing), sf ff yogurt S - hummus and celery, a few roasted chickpeas D - minestrone, roast chicken I also managed to go for a walk this morning (FINALLY!), as the rain's holding off for now. Teresa - great new photo! Mfit4me - ![]() Pokey - lucky you--I would love to have horses (I had a horse and a pony when I was a teenager, back in prehistoric times ) to everyone I missed!Hope you all have a great day ![]()

Hello lovely ladies!! Thanks for the compliments. I get bored of my same photos so I take new ones. Hee hee!!
Went to school today and had an all over pretty good day. I feel good today on PH 1. The first day that I feel real positive. Yesterdays eating too much "homemade dessert whip stuff" did a number on my weight. Ugh....that is what I get for eating too too too much!! Todays MENU I feel has been pretty good. Any suggestions on a better or even healthier menu would be welcomed! MENU: ![]() B: 3 turkey sausage links, 2 eggs S: 8 oz FFP yogart, SF syrup L: LC slimfast S: 4 oz LF cottage cheese, LS v8, turkey slices D: Cooked tofu and salad with tomatoes, onions, peanuts, LF cheese, dressing Dessert: either a SF popsicle or SF Tropicanna Fruit punch Later...got a TON to do!! ![]()

Hi ladies!
Today was extremely long, and I thought I'd never leave school. I have a lot of work due on Thursday, so I might be MIA. I got out of class at 830, so I didn't go to the gym. I can't wait for school to be over so i can concentrate on my diet and exercise. Today's menu: B: none L: c. cheddar broccoli soup, 1/2 grilled chicken ceasar salad D:chicken ceasar salad Goodnight everyone! |

Yesterday I worked out hard in yoga class. She had us use a pilates magic circle prop, to work our cores. I've never tried using one before and it was great! I just looked online and Target carries it, so I think I will pick up one to have at home.
![]() Sorry if this TMI, but I'm pretty sure we're all ladies here...but I had some "spotting" last night. I don't think TOM is here (and shouldn't be for at least a week). My periods tend to be pretty irregular while following SB. Anyone else have the same problem? Today I am off to have my hair colored and cut. I started getting gray at 18 so coloring my hair is a monthly process, but it's a nice treat when I have the stylist to do my roots and not Garnier Nutrisse. I'm going to have a couple of inches cut (hasn't been cut since December) and re-layered. Afterwards, going to get lunch at Whole Foods and then off to my graduate class. Vero- I got my 10 in 10 DVD through Amazon. I think I paid 25 for it, but it was well worth it!! ![]() Teresa- Good job yesterday! It's funny how our bodies know what we SHOULD be eating, huh? My body also reacts so lovely when I go off-plan! I hate waking up with an upset tummy! LOLHave a great day everyone!!

Vero or anyone - If you are interested I ordered the Callentics on VHS for less than $8 on Amazon. We still have like 3 VCRs so I should be able to use it for awhile.

Geez, I'm missing another whole conversation over on this Phase 1 thread. I feel out of it!!
![]() I have been doing Phase 1 this week to de-tox from vacation (except for my Activia FF yogurts - I need those for my digestive system ). It has really helped me. I've lost my 2-lb vacation weight gain, plus another 1 lb.It's amazing how getting back to basics can really jumpstart things. I know I won't stick with Phase 1 over the weekend (I'm sure I'll have some wine on Saturday night at my brother's birthday party ) but I will continue to keep my food choices as basic as possible.I really want to hit that 25 lbs off goal, that's a big one for me. |

Good morning ladies!
First of all, thanks for all of the info on the Callanetics stuff. I'm gonna look into it. Dani: I've seen those little balancing rings before at target and walmart, but I don't think I could balance on one for more than 10 seconds, much less exercise on it ![]() Wiz: Great job getting back on track and losing those pesky lbs! Vivian: I completely agree with you, if it weren't for my friends on this board, I don't think I would have lasted 6+ mos. on this diet. ![]() Have a great day everyone!

hey everyone!
can i join you? i recognize some of you, and hello to new folks! i did SB late last summer with great results but then deviated into something else rather extreme and then ended up gaining it all back and then some... So here i am, again! posting my menus really helps me stay accountable! B-whey protein shake L-soup of ground turkey, cabbage, diced tomatoes, chicken broth S-ffp yogurt D-buffalo burger, salad S-sf jello Dani-when i diet, i find that my hormones and cycles get a bit messed up. i think it is normal, but frustrating! enjoy your time at the salon! i LOVE getting my hair cut! have a great Wednesday! |

Oopsie rolls
I had trouble the first time too making oopsie rolls. The first time, I didn't understand what whipping egg whites really meant. I found out I should have whipped them with an electric mixer for at least 3 minutes - until I could turn the bowl upside down and they didn't move. Then I poured the egg whites on top and slowly and carefully swirled them into the egg whites. I don't even completely stir them together. Then I spoon them onto the baking sheet. If that doesn't help, let me know exactly what you did, and I can try to help from there. I make them once a week.

One more oopsie tip
Parchment paper works best. They always stuck when I used foil or a baking sheet with cooking spray. Now, I just spoon them on parchment paper and they come right off with no sticking. Also, when you store them, store them in ziploc bags (I do 2 at a time) with the bag a little open in the fridge so that they don't get sticky. Then when you are ready to eat them, set them out at room temp for about 20-30 min.
I my oopsies. Without them I would have never stayed on plan. Oh, and sorry about the threadjack.![]() |

Evening!
Busy day today! My hair turned out well. My stylist put some caramel colored highlights around my face which are nice for the spring. (Kinda hard to tell in my new pic I think). I put highlights in it a couple of years ago, so it was a nice change, and DH likes it. Had a yummy salad at Whole Foods for lunch and then a Iced SF cinnamon dolce latte at Starbucks. Passed in my project for my class and now I just need to get thru the exam next week, and then the class is pretty much done. Got in an hour of Callanetics this morning. I stopped at Target and picked up the pilates ring. Can't wait to use it! Thanks for all the info. about irregular periods! Glad to know I'm not the only one! ![]() back Amiga! Wiz! Glad to have you on the Phase 1 thread!Vero- I think you are talking about the bosu balancer. The pilates ring (or circle) is a different prop. It really works your core! Vivian- Glad you are posting with us! I agree with you, this is a great place for support! ![]() Have a great night everyone! Today's Eats: B: 1 HB egg, 1 string cheese S: 15 almonds L: BIG salad from Whole Foods S: SF Iced Cinnamon dolce latte D: chili w/"meat", leftover roasted broccoli S: NSA fudgesicle |
