Hello, Beachers! I'm enjoying SB so much (started 1/1/08) but loss has slowed this month a LOT. Am going to do a few weeks of Phase 1 again to see if I can perk things up again. Just wanted to say hello and hope you're all well!

Nice Beach picture (and Crocs avatar), Rose!!!

Hi folks,

Hope you all had a great Easter. It finally did snow here after all yesterday, in fact, it snowed off and on all day, but didn't stick. It was also very windy so all in all an awfully cold day, probably one of the worst this winter (except it's supposed to be spring now, at least according to the calendar!).

Rebecca, love the photo!

Yesterday's menu:

B - cauliflower pizza (I know it's weird, but I needed something quick and it was already made), gazpacho
S - none
L - ham, herb-roasted asparagus, tomato salad w/balsamic vinaigrette, strawberries
S - 7 dried apricots, 5 walnuts
D - tuna salad w/onion, celery w/blue cheese, sf Jello

to everyone and have a great day!

good Morning beachers!!

Tina, glad you are back and hope you had a fun filled relaxing week. Like you said in your post, you needed to get back to work to rest!! I think it is structure that we all need sometimes!!

Luisa: Awesome job on the 21lbs. Consistent good choices you make result in your losses. keep it up you are an encouragement to all.

Rebecca: Have a great day and way to plan your day!! I could relate to your sharing of only one choc egg, where last year it might have been more. I didn't have an open eating frenzy where in the past I might have.

Off to water aerobics and then I will weigh in.

Frustration for my morning. My middle son needed us to take him to high school to lift weights. 6 am then he came home and wanted me to take him and his buddies to the local donut shop. Does this make sense??? Why bother with the early morning workouts if you are just going to load up on sugar. I am a little mad at him now. Have to release it and let him find his own way. Also, his own way at 5:45 tomorrow he can walk!!

talk with you later, hope you all have a healthy day of eating on plan.

Hi Beachers!

Where does the weekend go?

Yesterday at my MIL's house I had one plate of ham, green bean casserole, asparagus, and butternut squash. I then had a small sliver of homemade peach pie and 1 anise cookie. Overall, I'm pleased with how I did.

I'm not going to weigh until Wed. I know I'm probably up b/c of the desserts and the salty ham.

Rose- your new avatar! I'm a major CROCS fan!

Wendy- Glad I could help you decide on making chili. I love making homemade chili too. I make it at least twice a month and it's even better the next day. The spicier the better! Hope you feel better soon!

Melrose- I'm w/you and Phase 1 this week! We can do this!

Elizabeth

to those I missed

Yesterday:
B: egg cream w/decaf

I tend to procrastinate!

Tina, I sort of did a spin-off of it since I was a little afraid to do the raw eggs...1/2 cup of egg beaters (with yolk kind), 1/4 cup of light cream, 1 T. coconut oil, 1 splenda. I mixed it up in the blender and then poured it into a cup of decaf. It was nice frothy and very yummy. I'm going to go w/ less coconut oil next time. The light cream is probably a SB no-no but it wasn't that much.

I have a question about yogurt - I read the S.B. book and it says plain low fat yogurt we can have, now since I am on phase 1 does anyone have any suggestions to what I could add to yogurt?

sugar free syrups like davincis come in a multitude of flavors. They are found in the coffee aisle in the grocery stores. for phase 1 I'm not sure what else to add. I'm sure others will have more suggestions for ya.

make sure you get the sugar free, they put the regular right beside the sf and they look remarkably similar!
