I am back after 4 years!!

Hello everyone! Today is my first day on phase 1!

Was anyone else particularly full the first few days? I am stuffed...dinner was a challenge!
I'm back on the boards after 4 years (almost to the date!).

I initially discovered LCF when I was on Atkins. I lost a ton of weight and kept it off for several years, and then slowly but surely, slices of bread, cake and a love of chocolate and dare I say marriage ( "...honey lets order a pizza, calzones etc..."...yes...I could have had a salad!)
I did try SBD for a short stint after Atkin's and it worked...but somehow I became laxed and next thing ya know, I was back to my old ways.

I tipped the scales this weekend at an all time high (my jaw dropped!), after assessing the damage and the size of my derriere, I decided I had better do something quick. Not sure when and how I became so out of control, but wow have I packed on some pounds!

I am ready to make this work! I turned the big 4-0- last summer and lets just say I am looking for a WOE that does not deprive me of the joy of fruit, high fiber bread or cereal (yay phase 2!) and will help me find that once upon a time girlish figure again!

I look forward to your support as I commence my weight loss journey!

WOE: South Beach modified (counting calories)

redsgirl, birds of a feather....me too! I'm not doing strick SBD though...counting calories, keeping a food log, exercising more and measuring body parts. Hope it works with the help of SBD concepts! So far, 2 weeks into it and I've lost 2 lbs. ...maybe more...won't weigh in this week til Friday. I've decided that daily is too discouraging to me...suffering through food privation and NOT losing is Sooooo frustrating!

I've not eaten 'white food' for over 3 years, so continuing to gain even without the processed carbs was hard! But I'm with you...it was easy to slip back into eating too much at each meal. That's where the calorie counting helps me. I measure and am very strict about it.

Good luck,
Beth
