Rose- thanx . He is 21. I just feel so sad. I believe if he wasnt going into the military he would follow me to college. which wouldnt be good because then he wouldnt be progressing in his life.. just following me. I want him to do something for himself and me to do something for me. You know? I dont think he understands how important that is. It upsets me. he is like well if i came to college with you i would be with someone i love and that is all that matters. I'm just so frustrated because my future is so important to me and i wish he would look at the big picture, not just the "we are so in love" picture. I just feel like if something happens and we are not together that maybe we will meet up again one day when we have our own "lives" started. I'm so sad. and i dont want to lose him, but he is pushing me away. and of course in his eyes its all my fault because i wont give everything up for him.
so complicated. Like i said we have been together for over 2 years and this is by the far the biggest fight ever and we havent really fought about anything serious before. I feel so helpless.Rebecca- thank you for your support . Chunky monkey ricotta is wonderful. <-- thanx teresa. Britt ![]()

hi everyone...
I spent the day trying recipes... I did the pizza... It turned out ok. I forgot to let the cauliflower cool before I mixed the egg and cheese... so I think the added moisture caused mine to not be as firm as others. But I liked it enough to try again on another day. I also tried the diet cola chicken. I don't know what I did, but the chicken breast came out so dry they were tough. The sauce was good. I have been battling an awful cough since 2/9. I believe it is finally slowing down some. I have not been to the gym since I got sick. Tomorrow I hope to give it a try. I know it will be like starting from scratch, but that is ok... have a great Monday

Things like this happen and it is so hard to deal with. So you were 16 when you got together. Now you are 18 and what, 20 or so when you get out of college. People grow and change. Obviously, you are in different places right now. What will you both be like in 3 or 4 years? What is he expecting when he goes into the Air Force? It sounds like your girls night out just brought things to a head. Maybe he will mature a good bit more in the Air Force. |

Take care of yourself. I think something is going all over the country. I am just coming off a round of pneumonia which snuck up on me. I was out off work for a week. Have to go back tomorrow no matter what, because we have a BIG program working. |

Hi everyone,
I'm back after a pretty tough week. Worked lots of 10-hour days and both weekends on either side of the work week, but managed to get everything turned in by 3 p.m. yesterday. I've already got most of this week booked with work, but hopefully it won't be quite as intense as last week. I managed to stay on plan, except for a small (3") grilled chorizo on Saturday (was hungry all day for some reason), but didn't get much exercise in at all. I managed to read through the posts from last week...whew, a lot to digest. Let's see... Wiz, if you do schedule a meeting with your Telefonica people, let me know! I know their HQ is in Madrid, for sure. cowboymom, I'll try to get my husband to shrink a few more photos so I can post them. We went to a really neat castle a month or so ago (only about 25 min. from here) and got some nice pics. Also, great photo of your son with the new appy - looks like a nice horse, and your son looks thrilled. I would be, too! ![]() Vero, happy (belated) birthday! ![]() Britt, FWIW, I think you've got your priorities right, but that doesn't make the hurt any easier, I know. Hang in there, kiddo... ![]() Mom2Eli, Nena, welcome - - and also to anyone else I may have missed along the way!Yesterday's menu: B - 1 fried egg, 2 Canadian bacon, gazpacho and decaf w/splash of milk S - 15 grapes, 10 pistachios L - grilled lemon/garlic/thyme chicken breast, big salad (mixed greens, tomato, cuke) w/Italian dressing S - sm. decaf espresso with a few drops of milk, 7 dried apricots, 10 pistachios D - celery w/yogurt-blue cheese dip, 2 Wasa crispbread, 2 LC light cheese, thinly sliced smoked ham and onion Have a good Monday, everyone. ![]()

Sorry I missed this yesterday Brit. I think you do need to spend time with your friends. I was in a very similar situation in High School. I had been dating a guy throughout all of high school and he left to go to the Army and then here I was, my friends and I had grown apart and I sat alone with my parents on the weekends reading. We made the long distance relationship work well for about 18 months and then he was really just a different person. I have to say that was the biggest single heartbreak of my life! It really changed who I was as a person and still to this day I have a little twinge of love for him because he really was my first real boyfriend etc. Fast Forward several years and I know we would not have been right for each other in the end. Hang in there. You are a smart, beautiful lovely young woman. Things become more clear each day.

good morning~
Britt you're on my mind, you're at such a huge transition point in your life now! It's exciting in all ways but sometimes very difficult, there are a lot of endings with all those new beginnings... Whatever his reasons, it sounds like he's manipulating you to try to make it easier on himself. Immature or crossing the line over to "possessive" and "jealous" (not good things) only you can tell b/c you know him and frankly, I think you're mature and sensible enough to know. I really wish I had had my act together as well as you do! Hang in there, be kind and consistant but don't take any crap off of him either. Good job on your weekend, tinatina! You're doing great! luisa I hope you have a less work-filled week and get some walks in! What's the weather like there this time of year? Doesn't it stay warm year round? I remember talking to my niece on the phone on Christmas and she was outside on a balcony in a tank top....so I'm guessing it's warm there! I'd love to see pictures! turtle hope you feel better soon! That's no good at all... Looks like we get a nice day now that the weekend is over. Snowed and rained all weekend, I couldn't even walk yesterday the mud was so bad. I have to go early today while it's still frozen. I am going to start the Couch to 5K program this week. I've lost enough to start running again and I know nothing else that peels the weight off and gives you that nice exercise "high" like running does. I've really missed it. So that's what I'm off to do, the sun just came up and is melting the frozen mud so I better get with it!

I am back!!
Vero - happy bday
You girls are going great.Britt - I didn't read back too far, but things work for a reason. My bf at the time and i lived 3 hours apart and saw each other ever few weeks for 2 years. It was the best thing ever - having time to bond with my girlfriends and him the same. WE have been married for 16 years (we started dating at 18) and we have fun times together - he does things on his own and so do I. At least then when we are together we have things to discuss and share. if you are together 24/7 what can you talk about? you know it all. Keep your chin up and if he really loves you and your relationship he will have to come around. Girls (and boys??) -MY DD(10) AND HER TEAM WON A BID TO THE WORLDS IN ORLANDO FROM THIS WEEKEND IN CT ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() It was amazing. They looked great. I am so pround of her. Her tumbling was perfect - her full/ 1 to a full and 2 to a full. I don't know if anyone is interested in cheerleading - but it is a big deal for my dd and me!!Diet - i don't know!! i did the best i could but i didn't get on the scale thismorning. It took 7 hour to get to CT on FRi (with traffic) and I left sun night at 11:30 and got home at 3am!! i thought i wouldn't be home until 5. With that, i barely got up for work at 6. I will let you know tomorrow. B- 2 hb eggs/ tea/ coffee (mini biscotti - tiredness needed a pickme up) l- soup veg homemade s-nuts the rest is??? Hello all newbies If I get a chance I will look back over last week to catch up on other news, but for now - GO SBers!!!

Good Morning Everyone,
I have not posted in over a week. Sorry about that. I am really struggling with how to manage all the extra stress with my new job and stay OP. I am very much a stress eater and this past week I caved. I am really disappointed with myself. I have no idea the damage I have done either. I won't be able to weigh in until tomorrow. So, we will see. I have to make the time to post my menus everyday or I will fall off the wagon just like last week. I have recommitted myself. I joined the gym last week, so I am hoping that with working out and staying OP, I can get back on track and stay there. I am so much happier with more energy when I stick to it. I have missed you all. My menu for today: B: 2 slices turkey bacon, latte (a venti, I was at work by 6, whew!!!) S: 2 LF string cheese L: Turkey roll-ups, cheesecake fluff, veggies with dip S: veggies with Dip D: Salad or chili (I have not decided yet.) Lots o water. Take care and have a great Monday (if that is even possible)

Okay, I found the new thread
![]() Rose1, we are in Iowa. Beautiful photo! Britt, you are so on the right track! Hang in there. He'll adjust. If you guys are meant to be together, it will come together at the right time for both of you. Question on the pizza crust ... what cheese are you guys using? Wasn't the original recipe using full fat cheese? That would make a difference in the finished product, no? Melrose, congrats to your daughter! ![]() I am so looking forward to getting to know ALL of you on the thread here! Yesterday was my first OP day - here's what I ate: B: 1 slice canadian bacon, 1 egg, a pinch of RF shredded cheddar, 6 oz plain LF yogurt, flavored with a splash of Da Vinci SF vanilla syrup L: Arby's - garden salad, topped with the insides of the turkey market deli sandwich, ranch dressing, unsweetened iced tea snack: string cheese, laughing cow cheese, red pepper strips D: salad w/tomatoe, pinch of lf cheddar, sliced leftover top sirloin, and Newman's Light Walnut Raspberry dressing - I know that is too high of sugar - 5 grams/2 tbs. I used only 1 tbs., 4-bean salad (homemade SB friendly) Drinking lots of water and some coffee during the day. So far today, B: 2 slices canadian bacon, cheese, one egg, coffee And I've already lost the 2.5 pounds I'd picked back up by deviating from Atkins those last couple of days ... back to 201.5 ![]() Hope you all have a Beach of a day! Check back later ...

momtoeli - we are looking forward to getting to know you also! Your menu is rockin'. On the cheese thing, I used the ff mozzerella and mine came out fine.
GPS - if you only have time to stop in and post your menu, we won't be offended! Here's to a great OP week! ![]() Melrose - How excited are you and DDs! Did both of your daughters make it to the finals in fl? cowboymom - you are always full of encourage and support! You are a great asset to this thread. summy! |

Ok, so yesterday was the beginning of week 2 of PH 1. I lost 5 pounds as of yesterday...so I am feeling positive. Isn't it crazy how when you go back to PH 1 strictly, all your cravings go away and you want to be super good?! That is awesome how it works. Anyway....
Went to the gym this morning for over an hour. Did the sun come out earlier today or something? It was super bright out by 6:45am. It was cool because it got my booty out of bed. ROSE: Good to know that I am not the only one who likes corner pieces of cake, or that likes to eat frosting by itself! Hee hee. Mmmmmm..... ![]() Today, again, I have to study for midterms. My Micro midterm is Thursday and then I have 2 other midterms next week...and then SPRING BREAK!! Wooo Hoooo!! And my DF parents are coming out at that time! I love when they come out. ![]() TODAYS MENU: B: Egg beater omlet with yellow and red onions, LF cheese, and avacado S: Veggie soup L: Turkey burger on the George Forman with onions, pickles, tomatoes, mayo, mustard. (mmmm...can't wait 'til lunch time) S: Veggie soup or nuts (depends if I am sick of veggie soup by that time) D: Warmed up left over Turkey burger which was cooked on the George Forman earlier, again with onions, pickles, tomatoes, mayo, mustard. ![]() Dessert: I hate to say this, but probably Chunky Monkey Ricotta! ![]() BYE BYE FOR NOW!! HAVE A GREAT DAY!!!

just thought I might post over here, too.
Hi!! my name is Angie, I have been on south beach before, I cant believe it- I lost 35 pds in 6 months, went on vacation- just went wacko- decided I had already fell off the wagon, just started eating whatever again- gained it all back plus some. I have now been back on for 6 weeks, lost 16 pds and feel great. I feel like I stalled alittle so I did stillman for 5 days and lost 4 more pds - so 20 pds total between the two. My husband is also SBing and has already lost over 25 of his 35 he wants to lose- ugh!!! men lose way faster - My menu today: Bf : 2 eggs, 2 turkey bacon lunch : turkey burger, w/out bun dinner : leftovers from grilling yesterday: pork loin, flat iron steaks, turkey sausage & turkey burgers steam bags w/ yellow & zucchini squash YUM !!!!!!!!!! I forgot my snacks : roast beef / cheese rollups & celery/pb Last edited by angiermc : 03-03-2008 at 01:38 PM. |

Hi Angie!
You just "went whacko", huh? LOL! That's ok, you're on the right track again! Glad you joined us and I'm glad you're doing so well! your dinner looks awesome, makes me hungry!nena is it chocolate or the sugar in the chocolate you're after? The sugar cravings will go away in a couple days but you may always like to have some chocolate, there are some good options out there but I would hold steady for a while. Maybe one of our resident resources will give you a good idea for chocolate in Phase 1 and I know we have some peanut butter addicts who can suggest a PB! I don't like chocolate and have to avoid PB so I'm not much use to you other than saying keep it up! ![]() tina thank you I love to encourage and help others if I can, I think it helps me and I know it makes me feel good about my own efforts and knowing how great I feel when I'm healthier I'm just as happy for other people. And duly impressed when they stay OP through a weekend when I don't! MomtoEli, you're knocking on the door to the 100's! Keep it up! GPS, that's too bad you're stressing, stress was the thing that completely messed me up. I still haven't figured out how to handle it or I would offer you something useful. One thing that does help me some is to "compartmentalize" it, if I'm fussing over something I tend to let it grow to bigger proportions than it needs to be but if I can just put it away in the Bills, Work, Housework, Kids files instead of letting it be the BIG PROBLEM OF THE DAY it seems to help me keep it in perspective. I don't know if that makes any sense. Do your best, if you figure out how to handle your stress now then you'll have solved a big problem for yourself for the rest of your life. teresa good job! You're halfway to where you wanted to be on the scale now, aren't you? You sound like you feel MUCHO better! mel congrats to you and your daughter! That's great you had a good competition! Summy how are you doing? You're a little quiet lately. ![]() Britt how're you doing today? I'm tired today... but doing well. Did my first couch to 5K workout and it was a lot of fun, easy. Only slipped in the mud once! LOL I had (frozen) green beans with cottage cheese mixed in to make a soup for breakfast and a light lunch, I'm full! I eat the strangest things, it's why I don't post many menus! |
