oh okay sorry
for the regular V8 fusion it contains: RECONSTITUTED VEGETABLE JUICE BLEND (WATER AND CONCENTRATED JUICES OF SWEET POTATOES, YELLOW TOMATOES, YELLOW CARROTS, CARROTS), RECONSTITUTED FRUIT JUICE BLEND (WATER AND CONCENTRATED JUICES OF WHITE GRAPES, ORANGES, PEACHES), CONTAINS LESS THAN 2 % OF THE FOLLOWING INGREDIENTS: MANGO PUREE CONCENTRATE, NATURAL FLAVORING, VITAMIN C (ASCORBIC ACID), CITRIC ACID, BETA CAROTENE, VITAMIN E (ALPHA TOCOPHERYL ACETATE). * the only thing i could find for the V8 light fusion was that it contained 50% less sugars and calories? |

Eden - I think I did look at that, and the diet stuff is probably ok - I would have to see the whole nutrition label. I'm gonna look when I go to the grocery store!

I have to say that I buy the Diet V8 fusion for my kids and I do have some sometimes. The listing is only a little carbs per 8oz's so I always limit my portion to 3-4oz's. I found that it doesn't affect my ketosis either. It might be nice to add a splash of it to a breakfast smoothie or something.

Sometimes my breakfast is tuna or egg salad with slices of cucumber and tomato. I make my tuna and egg salad with chopped celery and onion. Can you do that? have tuna or egg slald with a little tomato and cucs? Sometimes, you gotta eat/think outside of the traditional breakfast box....know what I mean? ![]() |

I could do salads for Bfast and just about anything else..but as for vegies....well I dont like very many that is my problem.
cucumber-I just plain do not like and tomato I cant take the texture! That is why I was thinking the V8 Fusion would be a good thing but NOT!! I dont think I could do straight V8.....I havent looked what it has in it either! I am trying to eat alot of salad during the day to make up for Bfast.... |

Well, it just happened that I had the book out to read yesterday....
The doctor is very anti-juice, especially fruit juice. He maintains that it's better to actually eat the fruit rather than drink the juice. It takes more pieces of fruit to make the juice than you would actually eat and since some fruits are peeled before juicing they lack nutrients. Veggie juice he was a little more lenient on, but not by much. Because most of the veggies used are the sweeter ones, they still have a higher glycemic load. He says that the "woodier" the veggie, the better it is for you. He says the best veggie juice would be broccoli. <blech> |
