Fibre-Sure
Hey! Me again, I'm starting to fill this place up with threads...oooopppss!
Anyway, was watching a program last night about general eating, dieting, blurb (I swear that's all they put on TV these days) and there was a part on fibre. Realizing that in this first stage I've hardly consumed any, it occured to me that I havent been as "regular" as I normally would be. I'm generally a big fibre eater, and probably consume a little more than i should (before phase 1 of course). I bought some fibre-sure today just to give myself a little boost in the fibre area because I've been slightly worried about the whole regularity issue. Anyway...my question, stearing away from all the nastiness :s is: is fibre-sure ok for phase 1? I read in the book that a fibre supplement is a good idea...but is this one safe? Thanks muchly ![]() |

Well each sachet contains 25 calories, 6 carbs and 5g of fibre. It's from the makers of metamucil...Not sure if that helps?

I'll check the box tomorrow for you, I can't remember seeing any mention of sugar, although to be honest, it has definitely helped with my problem lol. But I feel bloated, blurghh

Adding extra fiber certainly can cause bloat at first and it retains water. That is how it works. It will go away in a few days. Generally speaking, if you are eating enough vegetables you shouldn't have a problem with a lack of fiber. Let me know about the ingredients when you have a chance.

I don't know about Fibre-Sure, but Benefibre is "Inulin - a 100% vegetable fibre from chicory root... Sugar free". I have been having troubles "going #2" on Phase I also. I have been adding the fibre for about 4 days and am not feeling any regular and actually gained 1/2 pound... What's up with that?
