No. The preferred oatmeal is steel cut oats. Next would be old fashioned rolled oats, the kind that you cook for a while. No instant and no added sugar.

Get yourself a box of Quaker Old Fashioned Oatmeal (5 minute cooking time) and flavor it yourself. Dr. A tells us to stay away from "processed" food and that's what the Instant Oatmeal is (weight control included).
