Quick question. 1st day on Ph2. I am sick of eggs. Was going to have flax muffin and fruit smoothie w/ cottage chs for breakfast, then hit the gym. Is that too many calories/carbs for breakfast on Ph2?
I'll check back in the morning. Thanks all! |

If it's just cottage cheese and fruit ( berries?), that would be fine. I don't remember that recipe. In fact, that sounds like a small breakfast to me.
Be sure to have some food after your workout, too. |

Morning Gang!
Marking my spot and heading out for my walk. Hope you all did well and had a great weekend! I had a wonderful trip and ate some wonderful food....most of it OP until yesterday when we went to DHs aunt and uncles for bfast, where there wasn't a choice, and it was mostly (not good) carbs. I ate a small serving of the choices, and today will eat pretty clean to detox my body!!! I will poke my head into last week's thread and see what I missed and then will be back later!! ![]()

Hi, new here. Starting SB today, I think. Not really prepared, but starting off as healthy as I can. Hopefully will get some groceries/supplies in this evening. I'd meant to do it this last weekend, but we had a birthday party for my "baby" (she's turning 2 on Weds.) and darned if time didn't just disappear.
Nice to see you all. -- Jenn |

Morning Beachers - another Monday has rolled around.
Jeepifer! There's always room for one more. If you need help, there's a lot of wisdom and experience here. Just ask.Well, the weekend turned out to be OK. Not totally OP but close. The trip turned out to be wonderful. They did a dedication of what they call "Veteran's Grove" complete with fly-overs. What a sight! The local high school band played all the themes from the various branches of the service while members of that branch stood up. I got a little misty eyed when I saw a very old man in Air Force dress blues stand up out of his wheel chair when the Air Force song was played. We truly live in a remarkable country. I'm getting goose bumps just telling this! On the menu for today: B - 2 HB eggs, V8 L - chili, salad, SF jello D - don't know yet but OP Have a great Monday and a for all of us born this week.Marsha |

Happy new week south beachers!
Thank you Neesie for the weekend challenge! I did awesome and stayed totally OP. I am so happy! I even made it down another lb. Now I know I've said this before, but I am going to TRY to stay off of the scale this week until at least Friday. Oh, I forgot I joined THE BIGGEST LOSER on the challenge board, so I'll have to weigh in on Wednesday, but at least that is one day off of the scale. That's doable! ![]() ![]() Jeepifer - ![]() This is a great place to come with questions and for support.Cindy - Glad you had a great weekend. Rose - and thanks for the new thread.b - scrambled egg, turkey sausage l - veggie soup s - apple w/PB d - chili, I'm thinking. I made the veggie soup yesterday and just used canned mixed veggies. I took out all of the potatoes and about 1/2 of the carrots. It still has peas and corn in it. I'm hoping that it will not have a negative effect on my weight loss. Anyone have any thoughts on it? I guess I'll see what happens. Have a great day fellow beachers.

Good Morning Beach Friends
![]() We left Virginia yesterday and so now we have a decent internet signal again... We stopped about 45 miles East of Columbus, OH last night. The RV park has a super fast wireless set up, and I'm loving it for the short time we're here. My phone has gotten a better signal all along the way than it did in Virginia; so even after we leave here, it'll be better than what it was. This afternoon we'll be rolling into Ft Wayne, IN (isn't/wasn't one of our gals from there?); my brother lives there. How long we stay is going to depend on my newest nephew... he was supposed to be born last week. My SIL has an appointment today at her OB/GYN and they are talking about inducing. I'm hoping the doc isn't busy and just says "lets do it now" or tomorrow morning. If he comes, we'll be there 2 nights... if not, we're only staying 1... Cindy, Back! We missed you.... Tell us about your weekend...Tina, good for you for staying OP all weekend! I knew you could do it! I think corn and peas are ok every once in a while... I just wouldn't eat them on a regular basis...Marsha, The ceremony sounds lovely... I'm the same way... I would have been teary-eyed too... DH was AF for 26 years, he's only been retired for two. I've been to quite a few military/veterans ceremonies and they always really touch me... Jenn, to the Beach! The first week can be tough... Make sure to eat your full allotment of veggies, beans and dairy. It'll help you feel a little better through the detox. After the first week, you'll feel better than you have in a long time; so hang tough! Here's our menu for the day... Breakfast: Flax Waffle; 2 cups coffee each w/ ¼ c 2% milk and sweetener Snack: V8 Lunch: Leftover Bean Soup Snack: Cottage Cheese, Yogurt and 1 T SF Strawberry Preserves Dinner: Taco Salad? We’ll probably have dinner with my brother, so will play it by ear. Desert: NSA Fudgesicle Have a great day on the beach everyone! ![]() |

Thanks for the encouragement everyone, On a brighter note, my step dad saw me yesterday for the first time in about a month and he said I looked way thinner than the last time he saw me, his exact words were, " theres a whole lot less of you than the last time I saw you" That made me feel really good, and I am still having to pull up my pants all the time because they keep saggin down, this afternoon I am going to check in my garage and see what clothes I have out there, its been so long since I put them out there, I forgot what I have.

Morning... I'm marking my spot too.
I'm having my morning coffee and bran cereal with 2% and just waking up. My weekend challenge wasn't as OP as I had planned. I visited my sister on saturday and had a wonderful time... then my mom picked me up and we went to white rock beach. It was too cool to have a walk... so we went to green papaya... which was a very quaint restaurant off the beach and she treated me to a pre-birthday dinner. Tomorrow is my birthday. I had jumbo shrimp on screwers with a kind of thin noodles and a small coslaw. But on Sunday after service there was cake for our former pastor's retirement and it was calling my name. I'm sorry Ladies... it was hard to resist and had a big piece with icing. But had a light dinner afterwards. I had a great time this weekend. ![]() You Ladies have a great OP day... I'll chat with you later. ![]()

Hi Everyone!
![]() SO I stayed OP all weekend and did the additional workout. Got on the scale this morning and I GAINED pound from Friday and 1.5 since Saturday. I'm not sure what the reason is but it's very aggrevating! I'm sure it will come right off but that's not the point! I'd really like to start the new week at the same weight (or lower) than I ended the previous week. I'm committed to making that happen so I'm issuing the challenge for this weekend also. Looks like Tina's the winner so far! WOOHOO for Tina! Made a chicken divan recipe for dinner last night which I will post tonight. It was pretty good but kind of bland. The sauce needs some spicing up. I'll post the recipe from home tonight. Ericha - don't worry about the calories - as long as you eat according to the P2 list you're golden. ![]() Hi Jenn - Dive right in! 2 suggestions - post at least once a day for inspiration (most of us post more) and always post your menu for the day for accountability and advice. Happy to have you with us! ![]() Marsha - I agree we live in a remarkable country. I thank the heavens everyday that I was born here and not somewhere else like a 3rd world country. Is your birthday this week? ![]() Tina - so glad you lost the pound - but I found it! ![]() Kelly - you go girl! Good luck tomorrow! Cheering you on over here ![]() Tammy - It's okay to go off plan once in a while. I'm sure you're right back on today! for tomorrow!Today's menu: B:tea / SB cranberry almond protein bar L: chicken divan from last night S: 1 pkg SB oatmeal chocolate chip cookies D: Dreamfields pasta with NSA sauce S: SF fudgesicle Have a great Monday everyone! Neesie

Good Morning, everyone!
I am annoyed with my scale this morning. It says I am up 2.5 pounds from yesterday. Maybe it was wrong yesterday. Ha ha. Anyway, I did eat OP yesterday after lunch. Have all my meals planned for the next several days. I am planning to give blood this afternoon. I will remember to drink some juice so I don't get sick .Have a good day! |

Question for you guys, do you suggest working out before eating or after? I usually work out during my lunch break at work. Sometimes I workout before and eat my lunch after and sometimes I am starving and I eat first them go workout. Today I worked out before and I could barely eat any of my lunch, just not hungry at all. So I dont know if thats a sign,I know working out releases endorphins, maybe those suppress hunger, I dont know. I only ate about 1/2 my lunch. I guess I will save the rest for later if I get hungry this afternoon. Just wondering what everyone else normally does.

WI #2 this morning and....I'm down another 4.5 lbs. That's a total of 13.5 in the past 2 weeks! ![]() This mornings work out was harder than normal. I think I should have gone to bed earlier last night. I'm hoping it was just a little left over fatigue from not enough sleep. I don't want to burn out, you know? Thanks everyone for weighing in (no pun intended) on the flax muffin and smoothie breakfast. I decided to go with it and it was yummy! Menu today: B: Flax muffin and berry smoothie S: 4 oz. low carb yogurt L: Salad w/ tomato, chicken and almonds S: rf cheese stick D: Something easy. Perhaps chili or egg salad or something like that. I have to do laundry at the laundromat so I'll be out most of the night. S: sf popsicle I'm going to try to keep the majority of my carbs before lunch so my body has longer to burn them off. Does that sound about right to everyone? Have a great week everyone!!! ![]()

Good afternoon Beachers!
I hope we are all having a great day. Ericha - 13.5 lbs ![]() ![]() AWESOME! Kelly - exercising does release endorphins and endorphins do suppress hunger. Saving your lunch for later tho was a good idea in case you do get hungry. Neesie - Good job staying OP all weekend. And since our weight does fluctuate don't worry about that 1.5 lbs they will be gone in no time. |

Hi Beachers!
![]() DD and I tried Dreamfields pasta for dinner. We each ate about a cup with a little ground beef and NSA sauce. It was okay but someone has got to explain to me how it can only be 5 digestable carbs per 3/4 dry serving. And why digestable as opposed to net carbs? It has like 42 carbs and 6 grams of fiber so where do they get 5 carbs per serving??? Any one with any info on this? ![]() Kelly - I've read that you should never work out on an empty stomach unless it's yoga - due to inverted poses. Along with that it you should not eat within 1 or so hours before working out. I very rarely eat anything tho because I work out very early and eating that close to my workout does not agree with my acid reflux. You must be doing something right since people are starting to notice, so keep up the good work! ![]() Ericha and Dani - you are both doing so awesome!! WOOHOO!! ![]() Off to watch All My Children - I Tivo it everyday. I'll have an early night tonight since I didn't sleep well last night. Have a great night eveyone!! to those I missed,Neesie |
