Marking my spot!
tina - in case you didn't see on old thread - YOU LOOK GREAT! ![]() No rain this a.m. so heading out for my walk. Should be a quiet week this week. Yesterday was OP but did eat three grains; which I have not done. Upcoming weekend is out of town at a sales meeting in Minneapolis with DH. I will choose wisely but will prepare this week also by watching it; just in case. The ladies will be shopping at the Mall of America Saturday, so looking forward to that! Have a great day all; I will peek in later to see how you all fared over the weekend!

Had a bad weekend with 2 birthday parties and definitely didn't stay OP.
Onwards and Upwards!! I am starting my 2 weeks of Phase 1 over again today as I really didn't get through without cheating a few times. Wish me luck!! I am worried about staying motivated but I know I can do this!! Breakfast - not hungry yet so I'm taking 2 hardboiled eggs and some string cheese to work to eat when I get hungry. Lunch - 3 veggie quiche cups, cut up veggies and turkey Snacks - cheese strings, almonds Dinner - chicken and ?? Evening snack - sf jello

Good Morning Beachers,
Its a Monday thats for sure, we are slammed at work, uggg. My weight stayed the same from yesterday, but thats ok, I made a killer dinner last night, it was Thai Peanut Chicken, I got the receipe off the net and just altered it a bit to fit my needs and I even fed it to the rest of my family, I just made them noodles to go with theres, and I ate mine without the noodles, although I could have made some Dreamfields for me, but went without. Heres me menu for today: B- puffed wheat cereal s- v-8 l- leftover thai peanut chicken s- string cheese d- Lasagna Lots of water today, because tomorrow is the weigh in at work!! Kelly

Good Morning ladies! Stepped on the scale this morning and was hugely disappointed to see that I am up 3 lbs.
I have no idea how, I thought I was being really good? I went to a baby shower yesterday where they served brunch. They had ham and cheese quiche and I at the inside but steered clear of the crusts, they had eggs benedict and I took off the mcmuffin and just at the egg and canadian bacon with hollondaise sauce, and a couple of slices of bacon. I'm wondering if I am up due to the 3 glasses of wine I had Friday night? I also had one glass of champagne at the brunch, and that is really the first time I've had alcohol since beginning South Beach, so I'm wondering if that did it. Any advice anyone?? ![]() I'm going to really stick to the plan this week, and hopefully those 3 lbs will go away quickly! Today's menu: B - 2 veggie quiche cups S - Low carb yogurt L - Chef salad S - 15 almonds D - Salmon broiled with I can't believe it's not butter spray and garlic salt, and a veggie, maybe steamed asparagus?? Have a great day everyone!! |

Morning beachers!
I'm so jealous of Ellen. I would love to be headed to Bermuda right now!! My family and I are trying to plan another cruise. Possibly right after Christmas. I made it through the weekend pretty well. I am up a pound today from saturday, which was my lowest weight. And, it took the scale a while to decide on that weight so I am thinking that I'm probably borderline. I wasn't horrible over the weekend (except for the Margaritas) but I plan to eat clean this week. We have another game saturday. I haven't decided if I am going to tailgate yet. It takes such chunk out of my day. I'm actually glad it's Monday. I don't have anything I have to do tonight. Yay. Have a great day!

I forgot to tell you...
I had two people compliment me on my weight loss yesterday. One is a friend who knows I have been doing SB. She just started herself last week. The other was a woman I haven't seen in about 3 weeks. She said "you are looking skinny! What are you doing? Starving yourself?" ![]() I also had a small NSV yesterday. It was really rainy because of the tropical storm and I had to go to youth group. I decided to wear jeans. I have two identical pairs of Villager (a Liz Claiborne brand) jeans, only one is 16 and one is a 14. I figured I better try on the 16 first. They were too big. The 14 fit fine!! |

Happy Monday Beachers!!!
First WI since since starting the beach and.... I'm down 9 lbs!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() I know first week is always a big loss because a lot is water weight but damn it felt good to see that when I stepped on the scale this morning! PIR8 - congrats on the 14s! that's my current goal size. If I can get there, I may set a new goal for lower but that would be awesome. My trainer bailed on me this morning but we've rescheduled tor tomorrow. Can't wait to tell her the good news, too. Thanks for all the encouragement! Today's Menu: B: 2 veggie quiche cups (sans spinach, plus mushrooms), 2 sl turkey bacon, 1/3 tomato, 1/2 avocado S: decaf coffee w/ ff milk and sf vanilla syrup L: 2 c lettuce, 4 oz. chicken, dressing, 1/2 tomato, .5 oz almonds S: rf cheese stick D: Grilled pork chop, green beans, hummus S: sf popsicle Have a great week everyone! ![]()

Hi Beachers!
![]() I got on the scale this morning and was up 1.5 lbs. I think I need to add some type of workout to my weekends especially now that gardening is pretty much done for the year. I think I'll drop one of my gym days and add a workout on Sundays and see what happens. ![]() Sarah - don't give up - you can do this! ![]() Jacqui - your menu looks great. Sometimes your weight will fluctuate with no apparent reason - altho I'd blame the alcohol for this one. If you eat op and work out for the next day or 2 the weight should come off pretty quickly - it's when you let them linger around for a while that they're harder to get off. ![]() Cag - don't worry about the number of carbs - as long as you are eating according to the phase 1 list and are not overeating you'll do fine. Sheila - why the frown? Any loss is something to celebrate!! So WOOHOO for you! ![]() Tammy & Jillian & CindyToday's menu: B: Cheese omelet / tea L: chicken salad / mayo / tomatoes / dressing S: Orange cheese mix D: Steak or chili depending on the weather - looks like rain - no BBQ'g S: SF Fudgesicle Have a great day everyone! Neesie

Hi Ladies
![]() I'm back from the hospital visit.Doing good today on my second day on Phase 1. Going to watch what I eating & going to start portion control. Mygems-Good Luck Healthy-Congrats on staying the same its bettter than a gain. That Peanut Chicken sounds delish.......I used to use Dream fields pasta before I found a new prod. called Carba Nada roasted garlic fettuccine noodles. They have 18 carb for 1 1/2 cups, but I cook that amount and than divide into thirds and the carbs read 8 per serving.Jacgi-Sorry about your 3 lb gain,It could be something so simple like water retention. Did you drink enough water or its a possibility that you ate some thing on Saturday that brought up the weight. Just a thoughtVessel-You did good losing some. You might lose some more next week. Star-Thanks for your conference in me. Hope your right. I like to succeed in Phase 1. Erica-Congrats Neesie-Thanks for your encouragement.I was in a hurry to get to the an appointment I forgot and took the Muesli without thinking. The turkey was plain, don't like the honey ham. Have a great day Hugs CAGLast edited by cagmom : 09-10-2007 at 12:30 PM. |

Afternoon all. Man, I am really late today. These folks at work just won't leave you alone.
Anyway, I was real busy getting the new bedroom together over the weekend and dh was away. Ate OK but was really too busy to cook much - just sort of snacked all day Saturday on legal stuff. On Sunday, I made scrambled eggs (6 of them), ham and green pepper for ds and me. While I was at it I made a flax bowl muffin. Well, ds comes into the kitchen and asked if that was for both of us (sounding disappointed). I told him go ahead and eat the eggs and I would eat the muffin. He at it ALL. My goodness! Have to run - someone wants to talk to me again. Hopefully have more time tomorrow. |

I would like to begin the SBD. I have hypothyroidism and insulin resistance and have just been diagnosed with IBS. I was trying to do a low fat, low carb diet, but the doctor has given me some more restrictions. She wants me to continue to keep my fats low and restrict dairy as well as increase fiber. Someone suggested I try the SBD since there are more choices. I copied the info on the stickies and hope that I can continue to lose weight even though I am switching diets.
