Holy Snikeys..........

I just read that the average Americans carb intake is 500 grams daily . So even if you cut yours to half that, you have to lose weight?

Well, it doesn't work quite like that. Let's say you were eating 500 carbs worth of Russel Stover Swiss Lodge Mocha Cream candy in a day. (And some steak and boiled eggs.) That would be 5000 calories just in candy. Cut that in half. Now you are eating 2500 calories of candy. (And some steak and boiled eggs.) Would you be likely to lose on that amount of calories? Probably not. I'm trying to make this a fun example, but the point is in the end, it still comes down to calories. On the SB program, eating the right carbs, in the right amounts, allows you to lose weight safely and not be hungry, while maintaining a healthy body.
