Morning beachers! I am SO glad it is friday, and it's a short work day for me, plus the office is going to lunch
. It's also pay day, so I stopped at Starbucks and got a NF, SF, Cinnamon Dolce Latte. 130 calories.Nessie, I love old Nintendo games, too. Super Mario Bros and the Legend of Zelda are my favorites. I also love Qbert and Tetris. You said the magic word, "massage". Our university offers a doctorate of physical therapy and the students hold a massage clinic several times a year. The next one is in a few weeks. I can't wait! It's a great bargain ($20 for 30 minutes). Tina, how was your pizza? Last night I made a quesadilla. It was really good. Jan, I have ordered Davinci syrups and other drink mixes from Netrition and have been very pleased. The prices are reasonable and you get them pretty quickly. I will have to put in another order very soon because I am almost out of my SF Vanilla syrup. My weight has not changed since I went to P2. I don't know if I am eating too much or if TOM is causing me to stabalize. Either way, at least I am not going up. I know that if I can stay OP this weekend I will lose weight because I'll be doing a lot of running around at the youth retreat. I bought a little cooler last night. I am taking boiled eggs, cheese cubes, yogurt, sf pudding, and cashews. So I will be able to supplement any meal. Have a great weekend!

Morning everyone!
Hi everyone and thank you so much for all your congratulations! My *fiance* and I took my parents out for a nice dinner, and while I wasn't completely on plan, I'm very happy with what I ate. I had shrimp cocktail for an appetizer, a salad with a tiny bit of blue cheese dressing and for dinner, lobster tails sauteed in butter, yum! So I really only feel guilty about the cocktail sauce and the butter, but no carbs!
I think we've set the date for Aug 30 next year, which would be one year to the day that we got engaged. I I have some serious motivation for sticking to this WOE!! I can be really determined and committed to eating on program, I just wish I had more will power to make myself exercise. That is the one area I really need to work on! My menu for today: B - 2 sausage egg and cheese quiche cups S - Low carb yogurt L - Chicken caesar salad from Panera, no croutons S - Maybe 15 almonds D - Not sure yet - possible a hamburger w/ no bun Have a great day ladies! Hi Beachers!
![]() It's Friday!!! Whoopie!! ![]() I got on the scale this morning saying a prayer to the weight gods that I did not gain anything. Well they smiled down on me and gave me a LOSS! I lost 1.5 pounds overnight and am now 1 pound below my lowest weight. Did my new workout on the stationary bike this morning. I did a pre-programed fat burning routine. I thought I was taking it kind of easy for the first time and it didn't seem too difficult even tho my butt was starting to hurt by the end. But when it was over I could barely get off the bike my legs were so wobbly. I know I'm going to feel this one tomorrow! I didn't really break a sweat but I know I had a good workout. Jan - I use Lollicup.com to buy my syrups. I find they have better prices sometimes and they have good customer service. I think they had a better selection too but I haven't ordered for a while. Compare them and let me know what you find out. ![]() Rachel - I really hope you do stick around, you've really been an inspiration to me and others I'm sure. Thanks for that idea. If I go that way, I'd do 4 lean and 3 P2 I think. ![]() Amiga - thaks for the yoga link - I'll check it out also . Danielle - Wow you are just going right along aren't you? That's so awesome! Cindy - What a nice treat to finish of the summer! Have a great day! Tina - Get on your knees and thank the powers that be that you lost that pound. That vacation weight was so hard to get rid of for me. I know next year I'll be so much more careful.Tammy - I have a long weekend too. I really need the down time. They celebrate labor day in Canada too? Cool! ![]() Pir8 - that is a good bargain for the massage. They're offered here every month for $12 for 15 minutes. I try and get one every month if I can work it into my schedule. The next one is Septemeber 11. ALways a somewhat stressful day I think - so that will be relaxing. Today's menu: B: Cheese omelet / tea L: Chicken fajita (no tortilla) D: ??? take out night- I'll be good! SL SF Fudgesicle Have a wonderful Friday Beachers!! Neesie

Tina, Starbucks also has SF Vanilla, Caramel, and Hazelnut Lattes.
I went to lunch with my staff today. It is our secretary's last day. I was trying to be so good. I ordered a salad, which was fine, and diet coke. I swear that it was regular coke. My boss tasted it, because she got regular, and said it was diet. The waitress said it came out of the diet dispenser. I told her I think they had the wrong syrup hooked up. It might have been a mix of diet and regular but it was too good to be diet. Anyway, stupid me keep drinking it thinking that maybe my taste buds were off. Now I feel sick. . I guess I should stick with water .Have a great weekend! |

Hi, everyone!
Pir8 and Neesie, thank you for the info on ordering. Congrats, also, to the losers of the day!! ![]() I have another question. I copied a recipe for flax muffins from somewhere on this board. ( ) Today I was able to buy flax meal in the store. Is this the same as milled/ground flax? I don't have any of the DaVinci's sf syrups yet, so I intend to use sf maple pancake syrup and make a maple walnut muffin. Do you think this will work? I have done a lot of baking, but have never used flax meal before. (It looks like finely ground nuts, but is coarser than flour.)Thanks, ladies! Enjoy the long weekend! I will miss you when you all go back to work on Tuesday!! ![]() Jan |

Pir8 - I checked out lollicup.com which Neesie said to look at for prices on DaVinci syrups. They are cheaper by a few dollars! I bought a few that were on sale for $3.99 each. (same size) The pumps were only $2.25 each.

Hi Pals
Just a quick check in. Ate pretty well today but had a pkgs of SB chocochip cookies mid-afternoon. For some reason I was veryy hungy and very tired. I had really hit a wall and 2 hours of work left to go. I needed a bit of a pick-me-up and that did the trick. Not really off plan but I still felt a little guilty - go figure. Pir8 - I guess ou'll know if it was diet or not next time you et on the scale. Good Luck! Jan - I'm glad you made out okay with lollicup.com. I have to go on there myelf and do some ordering. I'm just about running out of vanilla and caramel - my faves! Going off to have my sf fudgsicle then bed. Have a great night everyone! Neesie |

Hi Beachers!
![]() We're back in the RV and I have our very slow internet connection back! ![]() ![]() ![]() We needed to have some work done on the RV transmission, which is a pain when you are living in the RV! We can't get a signal in the house at all... We had our 3 cats down there with us, which made it impossible to do any work down there. We'll get back to it tomorrow...I've read through all the posts I missed while we didn't have internet... I hope you'll forgive my lack of indies... It seems overwhelming when I was gone so long. I loved the personal synopsis everyone did... Here's mine... I just turned 44, married 11 years to DH, 46. My second marriage (first was to my high school sweetheart), his first. We met in Utah in the month of April on a blind date, got married exactly 3 months later and then moved to Alaska about 4 months after that... DH was in the USAF for 26 years, he retired two years ago. He then got a job as a computer geek on base. I was an Escrow Officer for 24 years until we both quit our jobs a year ago, sold our house and moved from Alaska. We're taking a couple of years off work... traveling in the RV, going on some cruises, visiting family, and completing a caretaker apartment in Virginia for my IL's who are both disabled. We still have our house in Utah, which was rented out for the 10 years we were gone. The renters have moved out and that's currently "home base", although we haven't been there much! Tomorrow is Day 99 on SB for us and it's a Saturday, which means it's weigh-day... I'll report in tomorrow morning. Enjoy your Labor Day weekend, ![]() Ellen |

Evening Ladies... I kept OP until lunch time when they ordered pizza at work. But I could only eat one piece of pizza and then some fruit... and a mcdonald's fruit and yogurt parfait. That was my lunch. And then after work... I didn't feel like making dinner... so I went to white spot and ordered a CBC. You know what a CBC is? it's diced chicken and brocoli... smoothered in mixed cheeses. It's really good and I had 2 diet cokes with my meal. That filled me up... and then I went home.
Tomorrow mom and I are going to our friend's neice's wedding at the church... which will be held at 2:30pm. I bought a top from Reitman's tonight... it's got brown and beigh patches mixed together and it drapes across the chest to the hip with a ring... I wear a black spagetti top underneath. I asked a mother and her daughter what they thought... and they agreed that it looked dressy on me... then she winked at me and said "now no fighting over the bowquet!!" Then we just roared... I'm wearing dark dress pants and black dress shoes with it. It's sure nice to dress up once in a while. I'll probably have a small piece of wedding cake... just so you know... I'm going to be eating moderately and will be watching what goes into my mouth this holiday long weekend.Sunday... I'll be singing again and that will make me happy. I love singing gospel music and we have a brand new pastor... who is really nice and just moved here from Novia Scotia... which is on the atlantic coast of Canada. The pastor... his wife and 3 children travelled through the USA to minesota and then came here... because the Canada 401 hwy is a rough road to travel... especially across this rugid country. Cindy, Rachel, Neesie, Amiga, Kelly E, Kelly B, Rose, Tina, Marsha, Ellen, Jan, Dani, Pir8, Rita, Jacqui and those I missed!!! BellaHMB... on the beach!!! you've come to the right place. We're a big friendly group of Ladies... who share our experiences, thoughts and personal journeys with one another. And support each other on a regular basis. Don't be afraid to share a bit about yourself... and post as often as you wish. Don't hestitate to ask questions... we'll try and answer them as best we can. We're here for you. ![]() Neesie... we canadians also celebrate this Labour Day long weekend!!! I so glad to have 3 days off... thanks. HAPPY LABOUR DAY WEEKEND... EVERYONE!!! You'll have a great night!!! Sweet dreams... ![]() ![]() Last edited by Star123; 08-31-2007 at 10:32 PM.. |

Ellen, nice to see you back!
Tammy, enjoy the wedding. You will look lovely! Bella, thanks for the info. The market I bought the flax meal in had all the "Red...something" products except flax! They had "their own", so I was hoping I bought the right thing. BTW, welcome! As Tammy said, we are a very friendly and supportive group, so check in at least once a day on the weekly thread! ![]() I will be back tomorrow! (YIKES! It's already tomorrow! Better get to bed!) Bella, I've done Atkins twice and lost weight both times, but unfortunately, gained back the weight I lost. I found it hard to sustain the Atkins meal plan on a permenant basis. It's great that you are looking for a way to sustain at this point... good for you. ![]() DH and I find SB to be a lot more flexible, we feel great and I believe SB is a healthier WOE. As you add the carbs in that SB requires, you'll probably gain a couple of pounds... don't panic... its not fat... as you replenish your glycerine storage, your body retains a small amount of water. Hope you decide to join us. ![]() Well guys, it's weigh-day and I'm down 1 pound for the week. I'm glad to be back... I really missed you all... ![]() |

Morning Beach Babes!
![]() Ellen - glad to see you up and running again! We missed you! Congrats on the loss! ![]() I ate on plan too yesterday with a couple bites of non program foods, but in the old days, I would have had whole servings!!! I took the girls to Qdoba for lunch yesterday and they can serve their burrito's *naked*, so I got a wonderful pulled pork burrito *naked, no rice and added guac! It was so good. Then had some salsa and chips with DH and even though it technically wasn't, counted as a grain. DH made fish for dinner and had that with a big salad and a piece of whole wheat texas toast. I did have about 8 french fries that everyone else had.....so all in all not bad. Back in the day - it would have been a total "fall off the wagon". Bella - ditto what the others said! ![]() Jan - did you buy Bob's Red Mill flax? That's what I buy and works great for baking! Tammy - have a fun time at the wedding! Your outfit sounds very cute! Take a pic girlfriend! We wanna see! As other's have said, this group is getting way to big for indies in every post....so hugs to all of you, congrats on all victories; on and off the scale!!! Not sure what we are up to today......groceries for sure and DH and I will probably take a cycle ride and for sure grilling tonight! ![]() Back later with menu too at some point!

Happy Labor Day weekend! Emily and I have the whole weekend off and are hoping to catch up with housework and the garden. We finally got a little rain this past week, but now it's dry again. The rescue squad is still having to take truck loads of water to people. At least the temps are in the 90s not 100s.
Not sure about what we'll eat this weekend, but it will be on plan, since there is nothing illegal in the house. Off to water the garden. |

Thanks Rose, I will study it!
I have been maintaining since May 27th, and my weight is very stable. I notice that if I eat more carbs one or two days, then I cut back the following so my weight doesnt fluctuate much. I have to admit I dont know much about SB but it seemed to me to be more balanced. Thanks! Bella |

Evening Beachers!
Eating is OP and good. Me and kids went to the grocery store to stock up on SB friendly foods. Bought DH and I a couple of steaks to grill tomorrow. Can't wait! I made the pizza on the flatout light wraps. I think they were pretty good. Tomorrow I also think I am going to make some more things to freeze so that my meals/lunches are easier. And I'll have more frozen variety! I hope everyone is having a great holiday weekend so far! I'll check back tomorrow! |
