Dining out on the beach!

Hi everyone,

I am new here (to this board anyway ) And looking for dining out ideas on the beach. Sometimes I like to go out for lunch during the workday to break the day up. Sometimes it might be Burger King or McDonald's, or Panera or Applebees, etc... (I know, it's not all the time, but once in a while) Are there any ideas for staying on program while eating out? I thought it might be nice if we all give our ideas a various restaurants to newbies like me can stay on track and still enjoy lunch out with workmate, or dinner out with the family.

Thanks for any help you can give me, I really appreciate it!

I love eating out!

On Phase 1, I'm sticking to the basics--either a grilled chicken caesar salad or a grilled sirloin steak or a grilled piece of salmon with steamed or roasted green veggies.

I will try and be a bit more daring on Phase 2 and will share those restaurant adventures as they occur!!

Kell

Enjoy eating out with your family. Most restaurants have meats salad and vegies. Just avoid fried or breaded meats, white rice and any pasta and noodles. If you want dessert keep it to fresh fruitif you have finished induction. Stick to the list of foods allowed for your phase of the program. Have you read the book and understand the phases and foods allowed? If not get it and read it ,it will be a big help to you until then check the stickies at the top of this board.

Good Luck

I like to go to Red Lobster for lunch or dinner sometimes. When I go there, I get grilled shrimp (on the skewers), a garden salad w/o croutons and seasonable vegetables or broccoli. I usually take my own olive oil and request vinegar there.

You can also spring for a shrimp cocktail when you go there...just don't use the cocktail sauce.

Monday nights is crab leg night. You can do those, too. I usually just squirt a little lemon juice on mine.

Hi, All,

I know I have said this before, but there is a website which has the nutritional information for almost all chain restaurants and also for any food you might have a question about. It is www.calorie-count.com
