Coming back...
Hello!! Ok... It's been probably about a year since I posted on here, but ever since Christmas 05 I have slowly strayed off plan and to show for it I have gained about 35 pounds back. I am furious with myself and I definately need you're support. I was wearing a size 12 and now I am in a tight 16. It just makes me so mad at myself. I have also tried numerous times to get back on track with the SBD and feel like it's not working like last time, so I end up giving in to temptation. I am trying to figure out what "clicked" the last time to focus me so much. I just wanted to say hello to you all and I am back as of today. This time I am going to get all the way to goal and add some sort of exercise routine that I actually stick with!!

Hi Melsh. Welcome back! I complete understand your dilemna. I too went from a 12 to a 16 or 18 depending on the brand of pants. I just got really lazy with my eating last year, got busy with work and found excuses not to work out, and let other people affect my eating choices way too much. For me, so much of changing my way of eating is mental. I have to be mentally focused or it doesn't work. I restarted again Jan 2. The weight has come off slower than I wanted, but I have not been as strict with myself. I think for me, that is best. I think I can hang in for the long run that way. You just have to figure out what works best for you. Good luck!

Hi Melynda!
It nice to meet you! I'm a newbie on day 3 of phase 1, but like you I find it really hard to be patient with the weight loss - I WANT IT ALL OFF NOW!! I know - what a spoilt child that makes me sound, but I have no patience! I managed to get to goal (136) about 18 months ago, basically by crash dieting, so as soon as I started eating fairly normally, I got carried away!! You know the rest, same old storey!!! Anyway, this time I'm trying so hard to be patient, but keep your fingers crossed for me and I'll do the same for you!!

I definately will keep my fingers crossed for you!!! I messed up the passed couple days, but I am NOT giving up. I have restarted again. I just wish I could figure out what kept me so focused the first time. I let nothing stand in my way. Plus, the weight came off pretty quick. This time it's harder and I am like everyone...we want results now!
I definately need to start exercising that would boost the loss I am sure... We bought a stationary bike, but I am wondering how well that will take off the weight or will it just build muscle? I pack on muscle quickly...it's just how my body is. Anyway...Good luck! TTYLMelynda ![]() |
