New Mommy Needs to lose weight

Hi everyone,

I'm a first time mommy and had my son 8 weeks ago. Pre pregnancy, I exercised everday and ate as healty as possible. During my pregnancy, I had complications so I couldn't exercise. I kept a pretty good diet during my pregnancy but at times I did cheat. I gained 35 lbs and lost 19 right away but would like to loose 20 more. I want to get back into my pre preggie jeans (size 3) and will not give up until I fit back into them. I'm having a hard time losing anymore although I have lost an inch.

I am breast feeding and also supplementing. My question is should I start in phase 1 or go directly to phase 2? Right now my diet consits of fruit, veggies, protein (mainly chicken breasts, sirloin steak and fish), whole wheat/grains, nuts, water ( I know I should be drinking more), and splenda. I'm doing some kind of cardio 5 days a week and am also lifting weights as well. Oh, I don't eat that much bread at all. Most of my carbs come from veggies. Any suggestions for me?

Thanks!

Definitely start with phase 2. Don't stress; the weight will come off naturally. Don't try to go faster by limiting your food. Follow the food lists and you will be fine. Congratulations on a new baby.

(You might want to reconsider artificial sweeteners while nursing. Just my .02.)
