So I got up this morning in a grumpy, not feeling well mood. I quit taking my sleeping pills over a week ago and I'm not sleeping very well... I ate my usual breakfast and saw the kids off to school. I had a little time to kill before I went to the gym so I went back to bed! Got up about an hour later, not really wanting to go to the gym. I started my to do list for the next several weeks and decided I needed a me day. So I made an appointment for a pedicure, hair cut and massage. 3 hours later can you say feeling better. There is so much on my plate for the next two weeks I don't know where to start....O.K gripe over
B: 1 egg, 1 slice canadian bacon, 2 tlbs 2%fat cheese and a pita
L: dark cherry yogurt and nuts
S: ?
D: ?
Not feeling too creative today so I'll have to discuss our dinner plans with someone else.
Have a great day ya'll.

It is probably the weather I have been feeling really down too, I have been cheating a lot and it is not even due to cravings, it is just a lack of planning because instead of getting up and doing stuff it is easier to lay in the couch and feel sorry about myself, blaming the whole world but me.
Well, I least I can still see where the real fault is. THis is so hard and it requires so much and at the same time it is so worth that i do not understand why i keep denying myself the pleasure of being healthy. Has anybody gone thru this already?
I have not loose anything in last week .
But I am not giving up.
Digor

Well ladies....may I join the pity party day with you! I had planned on starting a new employee tonight....she was a no show. My second in 2 weeks to not show up. I have accounts open up the wazoo and vacation is drawing close....then the BIG kicker.....my sweet little DIL calls and says, "I think I may be filing for divorce". Just what I didn't want to hear......I am so upset. I really just want to eat, eat, eat. I have a cup of SF cocoa right now, and I have had too much peanut butter today.....but at least I haven't gone and had a full blown out cheat feast. Gee....... Like I always say......Just keep on keeping on. That is all I know to do.
B-2 eggs, bean bread, yogurt, coffee
S-none
L-Salad with ham
S-peanuts, a slice of phase 1 cheese cake (after I got the phone call)
D-turkey sausage, slaw
S-phase 1 peanut butter goodie.....with 3Tab. of extra PB going in my mouth! cup of cocoa

Ladies, it's times like these that we really need to pull together and support each other. Please, please please know that you are worth so much more than a cheat. Every day that you stay on plan, you will get stronger. Make time for yourselves and make time to plan and cook something to get you through the hard times. Use the recipe boards, deep legal snacks on hand, try flavored tea for an after dinner treat. (Better to eat peanut butter than to binge on cookies.) SF cocoa is a great idea. A trip to the beauty parlor is a great way to treat yourself.

Here's a snack that we like. Line a baking sheet with foil and spray it well with cooking spray. Lay some string cheese sticks on the foil and bake at about 375 until it has melted and started to spread out. Sprinkle with garlic powder and some Italian herbs and continue baking until the edges are crispy. You can eat these as is or top with chopped vegs for a bruschetta type snack. The ricotta desserts are good too. We make egg custard, pumpkin custard, baked apples, yogurt based desserts.

Tomorrow is another day.

Good Morning. back Jeannie. How are you doing? Reta, are you just starting SB? Snark is a challenge on the playground. It's a get really serious about your program challenge. You have to be here 60 days and have 60 posts to get on the playground. (I think.) It's a place where WAY off topic talk goes on.

Now a word of explanation--My DD and I do SB together and post under this name. Emily(DD) is the SNARK and I (Barbara) am not. They're too rough for me. Any post you see here or anywhere else could be from either of us. ( I think I need a new user name.)

Hi to all who follow. Let's make it a perfect day.

Yes, I'm seriously thinking of doing SB. I've even changed my profile to that after I did some research. Actually, as soon as I found out true Adkins wasnt' for me, I started doing an unofficial SB and didn't realize it til a few days ago.

I'm going to try and browse through the playground, now.

Evening everyone.....it's a cold, rainy night here. We have a ton of snow on the way I am told. There is something in me that wants the old comfort things that I grew up with on nights like this.....pop corn, cocoa with marshmallows....cookies.....stuff I grew up with. Well I will have to settle for the cocoa with a dab of SF cool whip.
B-2 eggs, ham
S-
L-Taco type salad with FF sour cream
S-
D-chili with cheese
Dessert-yogurt with peaches folded in......and my cocoa

We're having a cold, rainy night here, too. No snow though. I wish we got more. Where are you?

You know you can have air-popped popcorn? We love yogurt and peaches. We freeze peaches in the summer to have all winter. Then we heat them up with a little cinnamon to make a sauce and put it over yogurt. We also like yogurt and baked apples. Keep up the good work!

I've been eating all that old crap (mexican food, pizza, china buffet...) and it really made me feel bad, physically and mentally. I need to lose all the weight I've gained since getting off track a month or so ago and then continue where I left off.....haha. See you guys tommorrow w/ menu!

Preparation is key! Have lots of things on hand to eat so you don't panic and eat something that is not on plan.

It looks good so far, except for bacon, which I think was discussed in another post. Do you have the book? Just follow the food lists and you will be fine. Also, the stickies at the top of the page are a big help.

Got my big workout in early this morning which was good because I made 17 dozen cookies today. I only ate about 5, one from each batch and that was plenty. They were pretty small. With that and the pizza I ate I still stayed below my calorie/nutrion guidlines for today. Phew! The scale will tell the real story tomorrow I'm sure.
Good to see so many people posting. Have a good weekend ya'll.

Starting over again today. Tried SB a year or so ago and lost 5 lbs and don't know what happened after that. Anyway, I have been talking to my doctor about diets and he suggested that I try SB again, but maybe start on phase 2. So here I am.

Hope I can join you.
