Has anyone tried this????

I got this off another site. I'll try anything once!! I'll try it in the morning and let you know if it works as she says. I sure hope so!!

Stretch your peanut butter!

2 tablespoons of peanut butter doesn't go far if you LOVE peanut butter like I do. Try mashing 1/4 cup rinsed canned white beans (Great white northern work well) mash well, add 2 tblsp peanut butter and mix well. You won't taste the beans. It takes on the taste of the peanut butter and you'll have a big heaping portion of peanut butter to use throughout the day! Doesn't store well, so make sure you use it up within a day, two at the most!

What a unique idea. This would surely help a peanut butter addict.

It does sound awful doesn't it. But I tried it last week and you couldn't even tell it had beans in it. I also mixed some diet maple syrup in with it. I really felt guilty while eating it.

I opened a can of garbanzo beans and used in my PB. I use them on salads also. If you just take 2 TBS. out of white beans I bet you could still make a bean cake out of them, or maybe make a bean soup soup for your lunch.

The "bean" peanut butter was good. It did sort of "harden" up some but you could hardly taste a bean taste but it tasted like reg peanut butter. Next time I might wait until just before eating it to mix it up. I have another dish that I will use on my apple tomorrow. I will try to warm the mixture up a little before eating it to see if it softens up some.

What do you put your pb beans on? I ususally dip my banana in it.

I have used it in celery, and one morning I used it on my bean bread.....I mixed SF maple syrup in with it......yummy! To be honest I could and would be happy to just eat it all by itself!

I put a tablespoon each in my ice cube tray and froze the rest of the beans and then put them in a freezer bag. Next time I will mix it up prior to eating it. I think it is very doable. Thanks Susie, I love peanut butter.

I did add a little sf maple syrup but it changed the peanut buttery taste.

Just wanted to bump this up for anyone that missed it.

I love my bean-peanut butter. It is really very good.

The bean cake is very good too. I have been having a bean cake muffin for breakfast a few times a week. Top it with some sf jelly and it is great.
I was skeptical at first.

Thanks Nana Susie
