Switched Over But Scared to Eat
Hi Everyone. I switched over last Sunday/Monday. I am still set in the Atkins mindset. I am carb sensitive and I am still counting carbs. I've up it to 30g net and I eat a small whole wheat tortilla a few times a week and a bowl of weight watchers low carb cereal with calorie countdown milk once a week but I have to force myself to eat some of the foods on the allowed list of SB.
I'm losing again so I guess I should stick to what is working. I may not ever be able to eat good carbs liberally. Anybody can relate?

Oh yeah. I've just added grains. I haven't even thought of touching fruit yet. I've just been trying to get the fruit taste from fruit flavored stuff.

I switched over from Atkins to SBD in April. I average about 60 carbs a day. Some from veggies, others from my grains and dairy products. My caloric intake is about 1100 calories and I do a lot of walking and Curves three times a week. I'm losing, slower than I wanted but I am losing. I've lost thirty pounds thus far. I don't have any reservations about switching. I just couldn't bring myself to try it again, and again... I have found this way of eating more enjoyable and allows me to feel good about myself and my choices.
Try SBD by the book, you'd be surprised how easy it is. Your body may need sometime to adjust and then you can see what you can add back in. Start with the phase one induction and go from there. Come see us if you have any questions. Good luck |

HI. What are you afraid of eating? I think I told you before that I don't get along well with lots of grain. I get along much better with fruit than grain. Maybe you could add in more good vegs in the beginning and fruits later. Are you eating yogurt? I'm glad the scale is moving again. Just stay away from artificial stuff and stick with real food. I still have to be aware of the carb count, too. We'll make it.
