Hi Everyone! Today is day #1 for me again. I wasn't sure about the protein shakes and I saw rose's response after I made myself one, so that is my breakfast. I used two scoops of designer whey protein powder, one cup of skim mik and some water. Beginning tomorrow, I will make two soft-boiled eggs my breakfast, which I just love.
My menu the rest of today is: Lunch: salad w/ two slices of cadadian bacon, one ounce of r/f cheese with an olive oil dressing Snack: 15 cashews Dinner: 1/2 can of chicken w/ one cup of bay shrimp and one tbsp. light mayo. I don't have the appetite to eat six times a day like the book recommends, so I'm just going to eat when I'm hungry. Have a great day everyone! ![]()

Good Morning!
Just flying through for a minute - we've got the whole day clear until my late ballet class, so it's time for a bit of housework. Have a great day! |

Hello fellow beachers! Was up and ready to start the day today at 7:00. Went out about 7:45 to walk. I had actually gotten into reading my email and stuff when my ds asked if I was going walking. I realized what time it was (I walk with a neighbor). I quickly logged off only to see him come over and get on the computer. I figured there was an alterior motive for reminding me. Ha,
I did a 4 mile walk this morning then went to Curves. Ever since I started jumping jacks on the spots between the pieces of equipment my target heartrate has been fine. It had gotten to the point where I didn't feel like it was giving me a satisfactory workout. Yesterday I ate: B: two scrambled egss with 2 pieces canadian bacon and a little low fat cheese. (it was too much, today I only had one of each). This was in a mutli grain pita pocket. L: homemade chili with beans (from the recipie I found on this site). D: yogurt S: one piece of Russel Stovers toffee candy (sugar free) The pita pockets I found are wonderful! The are "new". 11 carbs per 1/2 pocket. Made with whole wheat, flax seed and oat bran, 4 grams of protein and 80 cal. Which is about the same as my multi grain bread. I had them with tuna salad over the weekend. Even my picky son liked them. They are "quality kangaroo" brand. Froze abunch of the chili to save for another day. Don't want to overdo the beans. Moonstruck, I had to give up the cashews, I ate too many of them, they are so addictive. I didn't have the will power to eat just 15. Hope everyone has a great day! |

Kids, real life is totally kicking my butt right now. I'm still beaching it, I'm still writing my menus down in my personal journal, I'm still exercising and drinking water. I'm just not finding a lot of computer time and....there ya have it.
Hopefully things will calm down and I'll be back to posting regularly soon. I'm still with everyone even if I'm not posting! |

Day 8
B - Yogurt and maybe a HB egg S - cheese stick L - pot roast and broccoli S - Jell-o D - Taco Salad w/ no shell But, I have a question: I found a yogurt that is a Vanilla, Nonfat, No Sugar Added that has less calories, no fat, less carbs and less sugar than the plain yogurt that I got. Is this ok to eat? It's a 6 oz. container and has 80 calories, 13 carbs, 6 sugars and 6 protein. ![]() |

It is raining again today. Yeah, but I couldn't walk. I'll just have to move a lot at the hosptial today.
Yesterday I ate: B: one egg, slice canadian bacon, little low fat cheese and a multi grain pita pocket, and milk. L: small bowl chili D: bbq pork boneless ribs, squash and salad S: sugar free jello Tonight I have book club, I'm sure I'm going to have to say no to the dessert and wine. I'll have a snack before I go. Pooh, I have the same question about yogurt. I use Dannon "light 'n fit". It was fruit in it. It is 60 calories, 11 carbs, 7 sugars and 5 protein for a 6 oz container. I also can find them in a 4 oz container. Anyone care to comment on the yogurt question? |

Pooh, you avoid artificially sweetened yogurt in Phase one so read the label carefully. It's probably best to stick to plain and maybe add a few chopped nuts, especially with your bet going on.
JoLi, most people do eat something like Dannon. I don't remember the ingredients of Lite'n'Fit, but I do remember there is a Carb Control yogurt in 4 oz containers, which we have used on occasion. The SB Good Carbs guide says that artificially sweetened yogurts are fine in limited amounts on Phase 2. |

Weigh in day kids. I was nervous as I haven’t been much with the exercising. Scale loves me. I’m down to 218.6 for a total loss of 30.8 pounds.
I just love my life. I can keep losing even though I’m too busy to sit down and take a breath!I miss my daily postings, but I'll settle down soon enough. I'm hanging in there, even if I'm not right here! |

Good morning all. It was cooler this morning to walk. All the rain the last couple of days helped to cool things off. So I walked almost 4 miles than went to Curves, did a good workout.
Yesterday I ate: B: l egg scrambled, l piece Canadian Bacon, a little low fat cheese and a multi grain pita pocket with milk S/L: 6 oz yogurt with peach in it D: pork ribs, squash and a salad I eat breakfast late so sometimes I don't eat three full meals. I've been doing fitday and I'm getting around 1100 calories a day. I actually get hungry these days. Lynn, congratulations on the almost 31 pds! Keep it up. We started about the same time and I'm down almost 30 pds. TOM is visitng now so I'm hoping for a whoosh next week. |

Where is everyone today? Too quiet. This morning I made it out for a 5 mile walk, it started off nice then got hot. Not too much planned for the rest of my day.
Yesterday I ate: B: one egg, scrambled, 2 pieces Canadian Bacon, a little low fat cheese, and a pita pocket and milk L: last of the chili I made earlier this week and a thing of sugar free jello S: hard boiled egg D: "mexicali bake" or we call it "Bueno Beans". with lettuce, tomato and fat free sour cream. S: sugar free banana cream pudding with fat free whipped cream. ( a real treat) The Mexicali bake is fat free refried beans with souped up ground beef (chili powder, garlic, onion, cumin, chilis, tomato paste and mushrooms). I put over lettuce and tomato and the family has it in tortillas. I think I found both these recipies (the chili) on the SBD boards and my family really likes them. I made the family a banana cream pudding dessert like mine, except theirs had the vanilla wafers in them. Hope everyone is doing well, lets hear from you, I"m getting lonely. |

Hi. I went for a walk in the cemetary while Emily was in dance class. Usually I walk at the college gym track, but they are having an event, so I changed plans. It's a pre-Civil War to the present cemetary with rolling hills and an arboretum adjacent, so it's a good work out. We're still plugging along nicely. Back later to post menus.

Good morning all, did my walk this morning and got to Curves. The grocery store was having a sale on steak today so I bought some for tonight. My dh leaves for India tomorrow and I wanted to give him a good "last meal" so to speak. He is not looking forward to it. Can you believe he had to get three shots to go, just for a week. He got polio, hepatitis A and B, and tetnus/diptheria/pertussis. I felt sorry for him.
Yesterday I didn't eat too much, probably why I dragged butt today. I had: B: 6 oz yogurt with peach (ate on the run) L: mexicali bake in a pita with lettuce, tomato and fat free sour cream S: medium nonfat, sugarfree hazlenut late D: meatloaf and salad I'm going out of town tomorrow for a few days so I may not be around. Hope everyone has a safe/fun labor day weekend. |
