All right ladies - here is our Sunday menu, and then I'm headed for bed. It's been a busy past few days, but tomorrow should be rather relaxed and fun!
![]() Breakfast: 1/2 cup cottage cheese, cherry tomatoes. Lunch: 2 veggie chicken nuggets, light honey mustard for dipping, and 1/2 cup slaw. Dinner: Broiled portabello mushroom slices, with mozzeralla, tomatoes, and lettuce, stuffed in 1/2 WW pita, spread lightly with mustard. Dessert: 1 individual flourless chocolate molten cake, and 5 fresh cherries. 80oz water, 2 cups coffee. See you all in the morning! |

I've had a lousy couple of weeks. I did my Curves weigh in and measurements yesterday. Didn't lose anything, but didn't gain anything either. Lost a couple of inches. I binged yesterday on chips then gave the leftovers to the neighbor so there wouldn't be anymore temptation in the house. Have done well this morning so far, going to try to keep it on track. I've still got more to lose.
On the plus side, I am able to wear all my old summer clothes again, some I haven't worn in a couple years so that pleases me. I'll post my menu tomorrow. Have a great day ya'll. |

Hi Shannon. Menu looks good; the only suspicious thing I see is the gravy. How is it prepared? It is really good that you are including plenty of veggies. |

Hi, Pooh. The carb count doesn't look too bad on the face of it. What you really want to look at is the ingredient list. Most of these products have fillers and additives that it is best to stay away from. It probably won't hurt once in a while, but you do want to eat as "cleanly" as possible. You're doing great.

Hi all....
Looks like everyone is doing great!
Pooh: I use gravy a lot but what I use is the powder pkgs that you just add water. The prepared stuff in the jars etc have a lot of carbs usually as well as a lot of fat. The powder stuff has less than 0.05gr of fat and only 25 cal per tbls. The turkey and chicken ones are the best. Today I ate: B: scrambled egg beaters w/ 2 oz ham S: cheese stick, piece of pork loin from last night (about 2 oz) L: LC/LF 8" wheat tortilla with lean deli ham and FF cheese S: 1/2 cup peanuts D: Salad w/ tomato, small amount shredded carrots, purple onions, 1/2 shredded ff cheddar. S: 4 slices of dry salamie (SP?) I know I spelled that wrong Exercise: went on a 2 hr trail hike with my dogs. Liquids: Didnt keep track today but dont think I got in all that I should have ![]() |

Meecha, what you have to watch for in the mixes is the starches, not the cals. or fats. The starches will really mess you up on SB if you are insulin resistant. Especially in the beginning. For the first two weeks, you need to be really careful and as strict as possible.

Thanks Rose....
The gravies work OK with me and don't seem to impact me in a negative way either time I have tried this WOL...but I do know that no one is the same and each body reacts differently. Just suggesting that if she wanted to use gravy that she try those and if she doesn't see any negativity from them then they might be OK for her also. I know for myself which foods I can eat and which ones hinder this WOL because of trial and error...But Pooh should probably stick to what the book says if she is not too sure what to do. Wasn't trying to sound like the SB expert...if I was that, I wouldn't be here...lol. |

Kids, I am one happy beacher today! Wednesday is my official weigh in day (though I can't seem to keep off the scale other days
) so I got on the scale this morning. I really didn't expect much after the last loss, but hey! it's weigh in day. Imagine my pleased surprise to see more downward movement! I have lost 29 pounds!!! ![]() It hit me then that this is my way of life. Really and truly. Here I wasn't expecting a darn thing and yay! I really am going to lose all this weight! I am so thankful for this haven where I can vent, rant, rave and praise. Thanks guys.

You're right, it can be trial and error. For example, we eat butter, which is a no-no, but a pound will last months, since we use it sparingly when we need some. I wouldn't touch margarine. In the beginning, someone fussed at us about it. I think SB is pretty forgiving of little side trips. |

Hello all, it does seem like it's getting busier around here. I made it to Curves this morning and did a five mile walk. It was sure hot. I had to change my shirt between the walk and Curves. Doing good so far.
Yesterday I had: B: 4oz yougurt with peaches, 2 eggs, one piece Canadian Bacon, a little 2% cheese and milk. L: SBD peanut butter chocolate bar (I was doing my volunteer work at the hospital) D: SBD Schewzan pork dinner. I think my body tried to tell me it didn't like the bar. When I went out for my walk last night I was having stomach discomfort big time. I kept thinking I would have to call my dh to pick me up and rush home...if ya know what I mean. I've eaten several of these and don't remember having a problem. The scale showed a big wooshie this morning, but I'm not believing it untill it stays that way a couple of days. It did however, give me a great incentive to be good today. Nice to see all the new faces. Have a great afternoon folks! |

Well I had another good day of eating and exercise. Got in my 10,000 steps which is about 4.8 miles, but I usualy go about 6 miles each day all together. It was hard to keep focused at times, I found myself going into the kitchen and thinking about what would taste good. I had to remind myself that "a bite of this or that" won't hurt.
Yesterday I ate: B: 4 oz yougurt with fruit L: steak salad with a little sour cream and cheese S: 6 oz yougurt with peaches D: SBD grilled chicken caesar wraps The scale was good to me again this morning, down to a new low...Hoping to keep it that way. Have a good day ya'll. |
