I'm back. We had a good vacation. Went to the water park and had a blast. We spent some time at Moody Gardens visitng the aquarium and the tropical rain forrest. We at out everynight. I wasn't too careful but when I got home I only gained 1/2 pd.
I can live with that. Haven't done Curves since last Monday. I'm going to go this afternoon. I've been waiting for the repairman all morning. I did walk. I increased my M-W-F walk to 4 miles, and will increase my T-Th-Sat-Sun walk to about 5 miles. Yesterday I ate: B: cinnamon/rasin bar S: yougurt L: swiss steak, salad D: nothing, I was in the middle of a serious migrane S: 4 oz yougurt, few cashews I'm going to try real hard to stick to it strict this next couple weeks or I'm not going to show a loss this month. Hope everyone is doing good.

It's still hot and dry and miserable here. However, we are still eating on plan; it's almost too hot to eat. Glad to see a couple of people are still here.
JoLi, it's wonderful to go on vacation and just gain 1/2 lb. Good work. |

I've been a baaaa-aaad girl. Well, naughty at least. As you can see below, I've eaten out 3 times in 3 days. I was good, but not great. I feel lucky that today, weigh in day, I've maintained. I was really worried that I had gained. This gives me great hope for when I'm finally at Phase 3. In the meantime, back to being strict!
Monday Brunch 2 eggs, canadian bacon, mixed fruit, 1/12 ww nut grain pancakes, black coffee (IHOP) S ff popcorn D leftover chicken bowl, low carb ice cream W 125 oz E 20 min yoga, 8 mile bike ride Tuesday B black coffee, ww toast w/ 1 tbsp peanut butter D taco bell chalupa, side of beans, veggie casserole S low carb ice cream W 100 oz E step workout, stretch, 10 min abs

Phase 3 is tough. Exercise really helps. The nice thing about SB is that if you overdo, you can go back a phase for just a few days and get right back on track.

I've been pretty naughty the last few days. Had company so I made wicked desserts both days. Made small apricot turnovers last night. Tonight I made "Molten spiced chocolate chardenay cakes. (think lava cakes, chocolate and oozing chocolate, definatley not on plan). Tonight I also made tortilla soup which is on lan if you don't have the chips. Lots of things to add to it that are good.
I am doing Curves and walking alot so that is helping me at least maintain if not lose a little. HOpe to see more of us coming back soon. It's nice to be able to see how others are doing. Lynn, I have a great bike but bad knees. I don't know if I can get them back into shape enough to ride. I guess I should just try eh? Take care all. |

JoLi, I would think that riding would be less impact than walking, but I don't know for sure. Just start with a ride around the block. If that doesn't hurt go further, and further and further each day. Baby steps.
One thing I did do, was get an "old lady" seat; wider and cushier. My tush never hurts even on the long bike rides. It really made a world of difference. Something I've discovered over my weightloss journey is that exercise is key. But I won't exercise if it's too much like "work". I really like to ride my bike, so I know I'll do it. I really like the step workout, even though I thought I'd hate it. It's very challenging and never boring. I also really enjoy doing yoga. I'm not sure how much it's helping with weight loss, but it certainly does center me and hey, can't hurt. Try to find something you like to do and you'll do it. |

Hi - nice to meet all of you! I'm new here. I've lost 86 pounds on the SBD. I'm about 29 pounds from my goal weight and have been stalled for 4 weeks. Waaahhh! So I'm trying Stillman's for just a week or two to see if that gets things moving for me.
I'll be checking in regularly. It's so nice to have a support group! Tammy |

Went to see my Dr. today. Shes very pleased with my weight loss and the progress Im making. She did not put me back on any meds, yet. She may after blood work is back. Im to keep monitoring my BP at home and take my cuff in to have them check it. Oh, in the past I've been on BP meds and also for my cholesterol.
B black coffee, 2 eggs over easy, 1 slice ww toast w/ smart balance L leftover veggies and ww pasta S pretzels and peanut butter D small steak, onions & mushrooms, asparagus, strawberries w/ff cool whip W 139 oz E 20 min yoga, 5 ½ mile bike ride The marina keeps getting more and more crowded. We tried out some alternate routes today. Since I got up at 6AM! to exercise, I discovered its already too cold to ride that early. Not only that, but I wont be home in time to take the Big Boy to school if needed. We ordered a new step dvd and Ill just alternate the two I have this winter. Ill still ride in the afternoon. |

Yesterday was better for me food wise that is. I've been in a funk the last couple of days and have been really tempted for comfort food. I got to Curves twice this week, have walked 6 to10 miles a day. I'm going to break in a pair of new shoes this next week to see if that helps with my joints being so sore/stiff.
Yesterday I ate: B: cinnamon/rasin bar and a latte with nonfat milk and sugar free hazelnut L: tortilla soup S: two four oz containers of Dannon "Light and Fit" yougurt D: SBD chinese chicken wraps S: two Russell Stover peppermint patties. The closet thing I got to comfort food I'm going to try riding my bike today. Gotta get the tires pumped up though. Hope everyone has a great weekend, I'm going try...LOL |

Hi all. We're doing fine, just not much time for posting lately. We need to get back to posting menus and such.
Lynn, you're doing wonderfully. Glad to see you making steady progress. JoLi, stay on plan, keep exercising, drink water, and your funk will lift. Don't let yourself gain pounds; then you really will be in a funk. TammySue, it's good to have you with us. 86 lbs. is remarkable. Will TRY to get back later. Have a beachy day! |

I did it! I got out on my bike yesterday instead of walking. I "rode" about three miles. I had to walk it several times as I couldn't get up the inclines. I felt O.K. My knees didn't really hurt like the last time I tried. My tooshie did though LOL. I raised the seat up when I got home so I might do better next time.
Yesterday I ate: B: chocolate/peanut butter SBD meal replacement bar and milk L: tortilla soup with 2% fat cheese and fat free sour cream S: 4oz strawberry yougurt and popcorn D: hamberger patty with cheese, low carb bbq sauce, mustard, lettuce and tomato and a sugar free bread and butter pickle Got out and walked 4.5 miles this morning, did my exercises. Going out for a nice lunch with the family soon. My dh is "cooking" today. ha I walked a total of 42.8 miles last week. When I started I was doing 30 miles a week. My dh says he really sees a difference in my thighs, all I see is sagging skin.. ugh! Enjoy the rest of your weekend ya'll. |

Joli - Good for you! I hope you enjoy biking. I know I do.
I was too tired last night to post, went to an impromptu gathering of friends. Food/Exercise for Saturday: P2 B black coffee, 2 oatmeal muffins L spinach salad w/ tomato, chickpeas, turkey, almonds and ff ranch dressing D salmon w/ dill, green beans, tomato/mozzarella salad S sashimi, 1 martini, ½ slice birthday cake (I met some friends after dinner for a drink) W 104 oz E 20 min yoga, step workout, stretch, 10 min abs More Good Stuff!!!! My personal best! Hubby and I went on an 18.25 mile bike ride. We made it downtown and had breakfast at this darling little cafι on the riverwalk. We ordered plain black coffee (hello? Im not drinking my calories after that ride!) and bagel sandwiches. I had egg and smoked gouda on a whole wheat bagle and Hubby had ham and jack cheese on a sun dried tomato bagel. We sat outside, watched other walkers/bikers and just were. It was a magnificent feeling. The ride home was energizing. This was my goal for the summer. Next summer I said we need to do it once a month. I cannot express how great I feel right now. |

Hi gals !!
I have been totally out of control this summer. Time to do something about it. It's day 4 here, AGAIN. Gosh, why do I keep failing? My problem times are 4:00 and TV time. I'm starting to add some protein an hour before that so I dont cheat. Also, I'm not going to drink (wine) for a while as I have no control and get the munchies when I'm a little tipsy. Hope everyone is doing well. |
