*^*<>*^* Friday Check-In *^*<>*^*
![]() A 'Golden Masterpiece' rose, from the bush next to my front steps. Good Friday Morning! Man, where did this week go? It's Friday already! It's our weekend off (we alternate every other weekend at the library) so I think I'm going to do some make ahead cooking. Pimento cheese, egg salad, things like that. I made yogurt and soap yesterday - pure olive oil soap, with ground oatmeal. One batch of citrus, and one batch of lavender. This stuff feels so good on your skin...Anyway, check in, post your menus, and drink your water! Thursday menu: Breakfast: Yogurt, with frozen cherries and walnuts. Snack: 1 Wasa cracker, 1 oz Muenster cheese, 1 HB egg, 6 oz V-8 Lunch: Salad, with cheese, egg, a chopped leftover Boca burger, cucumber, roasted red pepper, lettuce and dressing. Snack: Coffee, and 4 SB Peanut Butter and Jelly cookies Supper: Chinese Stir-fry - take-out with some extra veggies added in- tofu, broccoli, mushrooms, carrots, water chestnuts, bean sprouts, bamboo shoots, onion, baby corn. I'm sure the sauce had plenty of sugar, but I did resist the rice! ![]()

Hi Gang
Just saying hi. I blew it yesterday at dinner. I made fried chicken (with soy flour), and then I made yam muffins with soy flour. Both were very good. But upped my weight this morn. Today is a new day. I was doing so well too. LOL. Rose, that rose is beautiful. (Had to come and see what pic you posted!) |

TGIF Beachy Babes!!
I'ma sittin' here eating my oatmeal and drinking some coffee milk (that's 1 cup of skim milk topped off with black coffee). I'm rarin' to go....3.5 days of school left! Can I get a woo? Can I get a hoo? That's right. Rose, your rose is stunning. I had roses for awhile. Sadly, I killed them. I tend to do that. I have a "brown" thumb. Shelia, 'tis but a mild speed bump in the way of eating. Keep on girl. Kennethsrib, huzzah on the happy and ooooo on the cruise. I like your attitude! Hope everyone has a fine day. I'll see you all this afternoon.

Good morning all. I weighed in today. I lost 3 pds this week. I've walked 25.2 miles so far this week. I think I'm taking tomorrow off.
Yesterday I ate: B: one peice 7 grain bread with 1 egg and a couple table spoons shreeded low fat cheese and a piece of canadian bacon, 1 cup milk. L: chicken ceasar salad. (bad choice, but I was at the mall) S: some bites of left over pork rib D: Had too much pork at 4:00 so I had 1 cup of milk and a SBD cinnammon rasin bar S: two sugar free popcicles. I think by not eating nuts for the last 8-10 days it has increased my weight loss. I was eating way too many of the cashews. I think I went through 4 cans in the first month and a half of SBD. Has to be too many. I have nothing spectacular planned for the weekend. My dh is going to take me to a movie, going to have to resist the buttered popcorn, shouldn't be too hard, last time I had it, it made me nauseous. One thing that keeps me on the straight and narrow during the day is getting my exercise done in the morning then I figure I wouldn't want to waste all the hard work I've done earlier in the day. BUT, I'm not perfect and it is easy to slide into old patterns. But I try to get right back into the right way of eating. I'm losing slower than I did on Atkins, but the inches are coming off too and I like that. Have a good weekend ya'll. Keep up the good work.

Good Friday Everyone!
I tried checking in yesterday but was having problems with my internet. Whoosh fairy stopped by! Down to 166 this morning! That always seems to be my pattern. Great losses right after TOM and then stall for two and a half weeks.I've been feeling a little under the weather. I think we uncovered some horrible mold and stuff when we lifted the pool liner. I've been running a fever, coughing, sore throat and muscles for two days. I still been eating and drinking (TONS) so hopefully the weight loss isn't sickness related.Hope everyone has a great weekend. I'm gonna go crawl back into bed for a while.

Hi All,
Kirsten, sorry you're sick. That's no fun. Rose, where do you get the SB peanut butter and jelly cookies? Those sound good! The scale hasn't moved I don't know if it's because I have been working a lot of muscle lately and putting on muscle mass. But you can't really gain a couple pounds of muscle in a week, right? I should start measuring myself. I need to get a tape measure. Here was my menu for yesterday: B: some nuts out the door L: Korean BBQ beef with kimchee (pickled cabbage) S: SF FF frozen yogurt, and uh-oh, a sample jamba juice was passing out of one of their new all-fruit smoothies. it was very small, and very good. D: half a can of tuna mixed with mayo and onion, salt

Hi Beachers !! How is everyone today? Good I hope.
I'm drawing near to the end of my two weeks back on the beach. I was soooooo bad Sunday and Monday . I'm back on track and happy to say that I've lost 5lbs so far. I could only imagine how well I would have done if I didnt cheat over the holiday weekend.Oh well......get up, brush myself off and move forward. I will do another week of P1.......I'm too scared to go to P2. Honestly, I dont think I should eat bread every again. ![]()

Hello Beachers!!
Rose that yellow rose is beautiful! We had a few thunderstorms roll in today. Went and stood out in the downpour on our covered deck. It was so wild! Sheila, you will better tomorrow! Kennethsrib, I hope your hubby gets to feeling better. Where are you going on your cruise. I told my Sweetie that I want to go on a cruise for next years vacation. Lynn18, are you really sure you want school to be out? JoLi, WTG on losing 3 lbs this week!! Kirsten, don’t you love the whoosh. I have lost 1 ½ of the 2 I gained last week. I got TOM visiting this weekend though and am fighting my chocolate cravings. I say YES to doing your measurements! I have lost 11 ½ inches so far. Sometimes the scale doesn’t say what I want. But, doing the monthly measurements really shows me that I’m losing where it counts. Reg, you got such a great attitude! Just keep moving forward and don’t beat yourself over what you should have done. My menu for today is: B: Ham slices with cream cheese, cup of 1 % milk. L: baked chicken topped with jalapenos and Pepper Jack cheese Baked zucchini topped with cheese and spices D: cereal with strawberries S: SF jello with whipped cream and one slice of cheddar cheese Have a great weekend!! ![]()

Hi fellow beachies...
I am feeling a bit down about the weight loss. I lost 3 pounds a few days ago and the scale is showing I am up 2 pounds today! I have been so good and have not cheated...recently anyway! Maybe I am eating too many good carbs and I do not really exercise at all! I can't seem to get motivated...I am always so tired! When the alarm goes off at 6:00 am I feel like I haven't even been to bed! I work really hard and have a fairly long commute so when I get home it is about 7pm. The thought of exercising then makes me sick! I just need to work on finding the time to do the things that really matter! And exercise does matter!!Here was my menu for the day: B:1 slice whole grain bread w/ natural peanut butter Snack:string cheese L:Green salad with grilled salmon D:Whole wheat tortilla grilled with ham and cheese Propel, water and tea Talk to you all tomorrow! |
