Good morning!
Well the scale is down this morning! I worked my behind off yesterday and sweated like mad! Looks like rain is on the way this afternoon so most of my day will be spend getting the laundry I've been neglecting done.
I totally agree that sometimes to break a stall (when you've been eating on plan) is to "cheat" a little. I'm not sure if the whole "starvation mode" theory is true, but it seems that maybe our bodies do adjust to the new food intake levels and we stop losing weight. Then a higher calorie/fat/carb day or meal shakes things up a bit. It may not work for everyone or all the time, but if you can do it for just the one meal or day and go back to on plan eating it may be worth a try. I know a lot of diets do allow one day a week to eat whatever you want.
Gotta go searching for new sheets that actually FIT my extra(extra, extra) deep mattress. DH woke up this morning tangled in the fitted sheet.
Enjoy the beach today!

Nice picture Rose! It's always nice to start the day with a pretty.

Well poo. The scale said 239.4, which is exactly 10 pounds. It means a gain of .2. Again I say poo. Somebody tell me, say, “Lynn, you need to remember the measurements of yesterday. Remember how excited you were? Remember how you said you didn’t care if the scale moved? Just keep doing what you are doing and eventually the stupid scale will drop more and more. In the meantime, you are doing a great job. Now stop whining and eat your oatmeal.”

Heh. I guess I told me.

I'm off work today to go with my younger son on a field trip. We will be traipsing about one of our more colorful, historical cities. Yay exercise! I really need to do more of that.

I hope everyone has a great day. I'll check in later.

Lynn thats why it is dangerous to wiegh every day, it kinda sets the tone for the day, postive or negative...
I've been to Curves and walked.
Menu for today is:
B. eggs and canadian bacon, milk
S. SBD bar probably
L: turkey/cheese a little lettuce tomato
D: pork ribs, green beans and salad, milk
S: popcicle
Looks like it is going to rain big today too. I hope it's done by dinner so I can grill.
Have a good one ya'll.

Kirsten, I tend to wake up tangled in my sheets too. I'm a rough sleeper and it's hard to find the deep pocket sheets for our bed.

Scale hasn't moved. I really really need to just stop weighing myself and just do it once per week.

Yesterday's Menu:

coffee, 2 oz skim milk, equal
1 Dannon Carb & sugar control blueberry yogurt
1 string cheese

L- 1/2 Jack in the Box Chicken Club Salad, diet coke

D- 1 large egg, 1 oz skim milk, 1 oz full fat shredded cheese, 1C broccoli, 1/3C baked beans, 1 slice Canadian bacon.

1 glass Pinot Noir (bottle is gone, so I give that a rest for a few days.)

Couldn't have said it better myself! This is why
I refuse to weigh more than once a week.

What city were you traipsing about? I was doing a bit of that myself this morning - I volunteer with the local museum, and ended up going from the monument for our local civil war here, to the other small memorial museum in town, to the old civil war section of the cemetery, back to the museum, etc. I love history, so we usually try to go see something whenever we travel to a new place.

Hi ya Beachers!!

Today was weigh in for me since I didn't get to the gym yesterday to do it. I am up a pound!! I declare this WOE is great on one hand and the other hand it's driving me crazy. I have done the best I have ever done in my life and still the scales don't do what they should.

Now, I'm not going to say I was an angel. We did eat out for lunch yesterday and those deep fried, breaded wings were a NO NO. Then I had a hamburger patty w/ bacon on it and a salad with Marie's blue cheese dressing. I am thinking it's just too much fat and high calories going in.

So, we went to the store and got the high fiber, low cal cereal, some fresh strawberries, and the Carb Countdown milk drink, and will eat that for dinner for the next couple of weeks. I want to see if I cut the fat and calories especially at night if I will start losing again.

I am working out and trying to get in my gallon of water a day. I just need to see a drop.

Well poo again. I got off the Beach and went up the mountain. Or fell off the wagon. See, the axel broke and the oxen died and I had to get off the wagon. Not buying that huh? You know the day started out just fine. I ate the oatmeal. And I took a salad for lunch…on a field trip! But then, well, we had a caramel apple incident. And then there was the ice cream and hot fudge. I can’t go on…the horror of it all would be too much for you all.

All I have to say is “Tomorrow is another day”.

Hi Lynn,

Don't feel bad. You're human. But you want to be a thin human, so jump right back on. I would suggest not weighing for a few days so you don't get discouraged by the water weight those carbs will bring.

I cheated at a bbq this past weekend. And nothing tasted good enough to be fat for. But a caramel apple...hmm..

It's hard spending time with kids when there is tons of food around. That's what happened at the bbq - it was with a bunch of people who would never have to worry about their weight and are just darn lucky. I just wanted to fit in in an event centered around food.

Anyway, I didn't eat enough all day today so I was dying to cheat, but didn't have time. Actually cheating doesnt take time - you just grab whatever is around and convenient. LC is hard when you are busy.

Here's the stuff I ate - it's too random to label as B, L, D and S:
tea with milk and liquid splenda
peanuts
ff yogurt with splenda
string cheese
a slice of american
a tuna steak cooked in canola oil with a dipping sauce made of one half tbsp of butter and soy sauce
