Check in for Sat., May 27th, 2006

Hi Gang

Another great day today eating wise and exercise wise for me. Hope all is going good for everyone.

I can't believe another weekend is here already.

Tip today is from About. We need at least 8 hrs sleep to speed up our metabolism correctly. Especially people with thyroid troubles.

I only get about 7 . How does everyone else do in this area of life?

See everyone tomorrow ... I might be in later.

My menu
b three eggs/three turkey bacon, 1/2 of lettuce, one string cheese
s hb egg
l talipia, green beans, small salad,
s string cheese
d chicken, small salad, spinach (canned)
d not sure.. I think I am out of ricotta!

Canned spinach?
How is that compared to frozen..
I usually get frozen but use fresh for salads
I have never tried canned.

Hey gang, I need someone to take over this thread. Let me know who wants to do it.
Thanks.

I'm a college student so normally I stay up late and then have to force myself to get up early. I've never really thought about my sleeping habits...........maybe I should! hehe

Happy Saturday everyone.

Well, I officially hit 15lbs lost today.

Yesterday's menu:

coffee, equal, 2oz skim milk
1 Dannon Carb & Sugar Control Blueberry yogurt
1 large egg, 1 oz 2% milk, 1 slice reduced fat cheese, 1 slice Canadian bacon
1C broccoli, 1/3C baked beans

L- 2C salad, 1 cheesburger patty

Dinner - LoCarb frozen dinner, Chicken Marsala with green beans, 1 rather large glass of Pinot Noir (Jordan 2003)

S- 1 Dannon Carb & Sugar Control Blueberry yogurt

I've spent the morning washing floors in anticipation of my mother's arrival. Since the only place in the house that has carpet is the 2 bedrooms.....I think I burned some calories. Keep in mind that we have TWO dogs.

I so wanted a pecan waffle this morning. I settled for a bite from DH's.

Hey Bobby,
Congrats on the 15lbs. Keep it up.
I find that gardening is a great workout for me right now.

Hey Beachers!!

WTG Bobbi!! You have worked so hard and it has paid off!

Today was good for me. I did my workout. I have added 1 1/2 lbs hand weights for when I'm on the treadmill. I need my arms to look better so I can wear cute little tank tops without scaring the children.

Diet went really well. My menu was:
B: two boiled eggs, 1 oz of cheddar cheese
L: low-carb enchiladas and broccoli w/ cheese sauce
D: leftover broccoli quiche and salad with blue cheese dressing
64 oz of water and two diet sodas.

I would also be happy to help with this thread if I'm needed. I get on most mornings before 8am and am up till at least 11pm at night, so it wouldn't be difficult for me. Just let me know, although I think Rose will be great at doing it!

Good morning Ladies... Its nice to know that there are people out here willing to take over and help.

I have decided to leave the beach for JUST awhile. I need to shake it up a bit. Stalled for almost two months now. Phase 1 for three weeks not doing anything but me being hungry. Trying a little cycling. Expeiermenting. Have lost almost three pounds this week. YAY.
I know what works for some does not work for others. Just trying to find my niche. Take care all. Will check back in when I can. But do not think I should seeing I am not on the Beach for right now. (Plan on returning in a few weeks though)

Take care Sheila! I almost went to another section of the board last week do it's induction. But, I decided to stick it out on the Beach and try to make it work for me. I do hope you come back!

Today we are going out to eat at Logan's steakhouse. I will try to be very good. We don't allow them to bring us the basket of bread!! I'm thinking a steak with veggies would be good.

Good morning all.
Shelia, you could still drop by and say hi... I've enjoyed having you here.
Well I partied last night. My neighbors had a Memorial day picnic. I had steak and chicken, a few bites of potato salad (bad), fruit, coleslaw.. The worst part of it all was the Texas sheet cake I took over. Total chocolate with nuts and cherries in the icing. I haven't made one in over a year. I knew I wasn't going to be able to resist that. So I had my pieces (won't tell you how many) and came home feeling miserable, and with a third of the cake! I will have to resist the leftovers today.
I did go out and walk this morning 3.25 miles and did my exercises, so that will help with the will power... I hope.
I've got to work with my food intake this week. I'm not too good about planning ahead.
Has anyone seen/used the Fit and Lively yogurt smoothies?
Have a good Sunday ya'll.

thanks guys...sounds almost like that chocolate cake a couple weeks ago... my aunt said that it had holes poked in it and the fudge icing dripped into the cake along with atop the cake, and also covered the giant choc. hershey kisses. It was all coated in it and then put into the fridge. I wouldve probably had some, but had to leave before it was cut. Good thing too cause I wouldve had too much cake.
