***Monday, April, 24 Check-In***
Good Morning Everyone! I'm doing a little internet work befor heading off on a day of running. Gotta go get my DS's birth certificate so I can get him registered for Kindergarten. Think I'm going to stop and shop for some new work out clothes too. Mine are getting too big and horribly sloppy looking!
SB is still going alright for me. I'm finding that I'm having more trouble keeping on plan since I've stopped posting as much. What an incredible motivator this borad is huh? No HUGE problems, just some....unwise choices. Still holding at about 175 though. TOM has arrived, totally not thinking it was due, I've been so off schedule since I started SB. I should have known by the amount of cocoa powder I was adding to my yogurt last week! I can't believe the number of new folks there are here. I'm going to have to spend more time here getting to know everyone and getting myself back on track. Have a great day!

Hey Kirsten, my ds is starting kindergarten this fall too. As to eating on plan I've been sabotaging myself I think. I lose 15lbs and then start eating off plan (stupid I know) so over the last 2wks I've lost and gained and then lost those 5lbs
. My goal is to have a 20lb loss total by the 2nd week of May. Dh is doing great over 26lbs gone. My 3 children have been sick with fevers, croup, sinuses etc... and now I have it. My chest hurts from coughing so much , so I can only imagine how bad they have felt the last few days. Dh and I took our 5yr old ds to the circus Sat. It was a suprise for him and he was so happy but you could tell he still didn't feel good, half way thru he wanted to know if it was over yet but didn't want to leave. Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Hi Beachers! Great to see you Kristen! I know what you mean about posting as I have been lax in that dept. as well. Some days I don't even get my computer up and running as I'm so into other things.
I'm still hanging around the same weight but moving slowly down. They say the turtle wins the race so I guess that's me. Yesterday was a nice day at the lake fishing with dh. I watched and walked our dog dh did the fishing. I had dinner waiting for us in the crockpot when we got home so made for a fantastic easy day full of relaxing. Hope your weekends were nice and the beach was good to you when you woke up this morning. Have a good eating day everyone!

Morning all,
Woke up late again today (I only study at the university 3 days a week, but I'm up at 5 a.m. those three days, so I sleep in the rest of the days!) but I did get some exercise in. I'm doing fine so far with phase 2 and not feeling like I'm losing control. In fact, I noticed that adding the little bit of cooked couscous or bulgur in the evening to my salad and protein has helped me keep away from the RS LC english toffee squares . However, I know tomorrow is going to be a major challenge. I'm bringing candy to my class, as it's the last day for them, and another office mate of mine went all out and is bringing candy, cookies, you name it, to her class (I noticed this girl has a definate carb addiction - you should see how she has a whole file cabinet drawer full of snacks and food like raman noodles, couscous, oatmeal, etc.) and she'll be spreading the leftovers all over the office. Luckily, there is someone else in the office who has health issues and so has to keep away from the sweets too so I have some kind of motivation from her not to delve into the junk. But I also have a presentation I'm giving tomorrow in a class I'm taking and while I'm not worried about the presentation itself, my colleagues are, shall we say, not the brightest people in the world, so I'm antiscipating a lot of lame questions, which I know will annoy me (this is one reason why I decided to go to Univ of South Dakota rather than stay where I was - to hopefully get a brighter and better set of students to work with!) However, I am really determined not cave in, as I know it'll be a case of eating the junk food because it's around (which I am really bad with) rather than a case of wanting it. Hope you all have a wonderful day! Tam |
