What fruits.....
are allowed? I see lots about berries. I am NOT a berry girl except for strawberries and thats it. I DO however have my favorites which are bananas and oranges. Whats wrong with those??? MY bananas....I could live on those....just like a monkey.
I think I just made a conclusion. Isn't SB really the same as Atkins on maintenance? Hmmmm. Maybe its just the ambien thinking..... ![]() |

Shannon, check out the sticky at the top of the forum titled "Phase 2 addtions & on-going weight loss"!
After your 2 weeks of Phase 1 you can have both oranges & bananas in Phase 2! (Along with a whole bunch of other fruits.) I think your conclusion that SB is "really the same as Atkins on maintenance" is incorrect. They may have similar food lists but, one big difference is that Atkins maintenance is not a weight loss phase. You can have many of the same foods on SB Phase 2 which IS a weight loss phase. If you haven't already, read the SB Diet book. You can usually find it at the library if you don't want to purchase it. I think that will give you a much clearer picture of the plan. And we are always here to help! ![]() |

I can hardly wait for the cantalope to get good again.
Wow the fruit list is about as long as my leg! No watermelon is listed though but I haven't missed it for as long as I have been eating this way (since 03). |

Way too much time on my hands!

I put chopped apple and a few grapes in chicken salad all of the time
I put apples, strawberries and orange in my salads I like bananas but find them to be too sweet. The bananas that I get (steal) from my neighbors tree aren't as sweet and they are only about 3 inches long, I can still eat those occasionally (when she is out of town) ![]() |

Shanlee, we love fruit in our salads, I've been using vinaigrettes, golden caeasar or the light sweet vidaila (sp) onion dressing. I don't care for ranch on salads with fruit but my DH does. Right now, I'm hooked on the golden caesar. Dont forget to add a few toasted walnuts or toasted almond slivers for some extra crunch.
