*♥*Monday Check In - March 20*♥*

Hi Beachers! I gained .8 at my weigh-in because of TOM and am expecting a nice loss this week. No matter what kind of exercise I do, my favorite is walking three miles on my treadmill.

Someone on Careerbuilder.com contacted me about a free seminar in two weeks where I can learn what I need to get into accounting. I am interested in going into bookkeeping for myself at some point, but for now want to know what I need to get into it as a career. I'm such a numbers person and have caught mistakes in the past from various jobs.

Have a great day everyone!

You are doing just great Stephanie accounting sounds like it was meant for you.
My cold is finally better and was able to get my walk in yesterday so I feel like I'm getting back to normal. The scale is still being good for me and showed a small loss yesterday. I'm edging closer to 220 and then the next milestone will be gone and another one beginning. I'm ready to finish this now and getting to business. Have a great Monday waving to all who follow.

Kristi! Great job on dropping the Pepsi. My DH cut out the Mt Dew when we started SB 6 weeks ago, said he was only tempted one afternoon at work when it was a particularly crappy day.

The scale is below 179 now. It seems like after days and days of slow losses and up and down that things are moving in the right direction a little faster. Looking forward to being 175 for my DS's birthday on April 2. I realized that that is lower than I've been for probably 11 years! Before and between kids it seemed like I naturally stayed at 176. I hope that my body doesn't stop there now. I'm really working at this, following the program and exercising, I think it is enough to break old habits and body chemistry.

I'm looking for some ideas for my DH for breakfast. He's been eating eggs most every day since we started. We'll eat oatmeal one weekend day usually (its a daddy/boy tradition). We make eggs with meat, cheese and veggies in muffin cups that he can grab and take with him if he's in a hurry in the morning. So I've been searching for a "breakfast bar" type recipe that will mix things up a bit for him. He's also getting worried about eating so many eggs, luckily he's always had great cholesterol levels. Hopefully this isn't doing him any harm.

Hi to everyone who stops in later.

Hi!
I am starting South Beach today. I'm 5 months pregnant w/ my 3rd child and have packed on quite a bit of weight.
Last summer I was 183 lbs. but let myself gain up to 230 lbs.... Then got pregnant and am now weighing in at 253 lbs (on the doc. scale) I have to get a grip and I can't wait another 4-5 months for the baby to come to start.

So I am here and planted firmly to the wagon.

Amber and congratulations on the pregnancy of your third child! I started a job doing payroll in a construction company about three months ago and there are two women there who are pregnant. One of them is also pregnant with her third child (due on April 11th) and the other lady is due with their first child on June 4th. South Beach is a great plan and I wish you luck on it. I am back to Weight Watchers since I had so much sucess on it before, but I post here daily because the women here are awesome.

I gained 75 pounds with our son who will be six in July. When I found out I was pregnant, I had quit smoking and since my husband does all the cooking - I went from 140 to 215. I never exercised during my pregnancy either, but you can certainly do something for yourself and your baby.

Good Luck to you!

Hello ladies! Starting week 2 of SB. Had a bad day Saturday at a party! But back on track! I plan to move to Phase 2 mid-week. I'm coming over from Atkins. Seems like a lot less food on SB and I'm a little hungry! I know they don't talk about portion control but when I look at the sample menus on the SB site they are pretty skimpY!! But I'm hanging in there!

Patt- Don't think that the menus are skimpy. Eat from the approved food list when you are hungry, listen to your body and stop when you are full. Have a snack if you are hungry between meals (and between snacks). I started outtaking one "reasonable" serving (as close as I could guess) and then getting another small serving if I was still hungry. I found that eating the salads was a big hel for two reasons, it filled my tummy and it slowed down meals to the point I could tell if I was really hungry or not. As I progressed I found that smaller servings were satisfying and snacking diminished when the cravings were gone.
Hope you enjoy the Beach!
