any success in skipping Phase One?
I apologize in advance if this question has been asked before-- just curious if anyone has had a good weight loss by skipping phase one?? I know I have heard that everyone should do phase one to eliminate the sugar urges -- just wondered if it is possible to skip One and still lose the weight you want to lose?? I am worried that I might want fruit ( an apple here and there) and it would set me back to stay in phase one forever! |

If you start on Phase 2 and eat strictly on plan, you will still lose weight. You will skip the initial large weight loss and should be able to lose a pound or two a week, depending on variables such as portion size, food choices, etc.
One of the reasons for Phase 1 is to actually change your blood chemistry, to overcome the insulin resistance that most of us here have. If you have already been eating cleanly, the change to Phase 2 wouldn't be as great as if you had been eating a junk laden diet. Then you would really need Phase 1. If all you want to do is eat a basic Phase 1 plan with an occasional fruit, then be sure to eat some protein with it. Call it Phase 1.5 Hope this helps.

Each person tweaks the program for there own personal needs. Each body is different and there are no set rules. For beginners I suggest sticking close to the eating plan and as you get relaxed with it go from there. By keeping a check on what the scale says you can still lose with good food choices.
