Exercise Thread for the week of February 13-19

I thought I'd get the exercise thread started ealy because they are really cracking down on internet use at work so I'll be mostly posting from home in the evenings when I have time.

For Monday, I'll be taking a weight lifting class at the gym. The classes have become so popular that a lot of the 45 minute classes have been cut down to 30 minutes so they can add additional classes. They are having an olympic competition at the gym and we signed up in pairs. Me and one of my buddies are "France". We have to a series of activites everyday to earn points and the classes are considered bonuses so I'll be doing double work outs for the next few weeks. It should be fun!

Would love to hear from everyone when you all get a chance!

Sounds like fun! I am going to start walking again, like why have I stopped?

I managed to run 20 minutes on the treadmill before my weight lifting class but I won't get credit for the Olympics because I needed a full 2 miles on the treddie and I didn't quite make it. At first I was upset then I realized the real reason I was on that treadmill was for me and my health, not just for the points for the gym Olympics. Anyway, both my work outs were great!

Marva - great job girlie on starting to walk again. Whenever I go a few days without working out and then start back again and feel that wonderful work out high, I always wonder why I skipped it when I know how wonderful I'll feel!

Boy have we been neglected our little exercise thread! I have forgotten about it all week!

On Tuesday I did an intermediate step class. Wednesday I alternated running and walking on the treadmill for 20 minutes, I did 60 lung ups and then I went to a weight lifting class. Thursday I did an advanced step class and today I will do a weight lifting class for 30 minutes and then run/walk on the threadmill for 2 miles.

Love to hear from everyone else today!
